I knew Noddy really well and will miss seeing him particularly around Foxhall. I also always appreciated how nice he was to my family. I seem to recall John Berry also mentioned it in one of his books. Berry had openly slated Cook in the programme for the first leg and Cook took his revenge in the second leg!

I was there and it seemed clear to me that Cook made no mistake that night - he deliberately ran his team mate wide and as you say went on to celebrate his team losing. Revenge against John Berry is widely considered the reason behind his actions.

Luxury - we used to have to get out of the lake at three o'clock in the morning, clean the lake, eat a handful of hot gravel, go to work at the mill every day for tuppence a month, come home, and Dad would beat us around the head and neck with a broken bottle, if we were LUCKY!

I am looking at going there on Sunday 3 December for the Best Pairs meeting which will probably contain about half-a-dozen Speedway races in the wider programme of events. Just wondered if anyone else has ever visited the track (or South Africa itself) that has any useful tips.
