  1. Possibly the worst meeting of the season in front of a poor crowd. A minor miracle that it even started. Credit to Meredith for sorting it out. Great to be through. I just wish this rain would disappear. It's really hurt us the last half dozen meetings.
  2. The MET provide the BBC with their forecasting. They are generally unreliable, at best. There are many decent weather apps floating around and many give much more accuracy than the above. As Rob says, this isn't an organised band of rain, it's scattered showers that may well miss and if they do hit, it's not nearly as heavy as the MET are pushing. I'm really not sure why they forecast so poorly. It's almost like it's on purpose.
  3. I admire your pragmatism. The lad is through barring an injury to dudek.
  4. There's always one. Barring injury, Dudek will be in the top 8 so Craig is sorted. Apart from a tough heat of gate 4, Craig stepped up tonight and delivered when it mattered. I think aside from Laguta he beat the rest of the top 3. He deserves great credit tonight, that was hard. A strong field.
  5. A shout out for the track as well. I'm not being biased, but there isn't another circuit in the UK that would take that amount of rain, for 2 hours previous and during after 10, and still be able to cope. And not only cope, but produce that quality of racing. It's a diamond. A shining light in what is a pretty poor moment for the sport. It was a bit gate and go before heat 10, but there was some good, close racing still Great credit to the riders, they deserve a lot of respect for their attitude. Like I said though, that track gives you confidence that even when raining it's still raceable
  6. Great respect to both teams. Some very, very good racing in really difficult conditions. A deserved win for bv and deserved point for Lynn.
  7. Met office are garbage. I use a pro weather app. That has 10% chance if rain between 4 and 10pm. Updated an hour ago. I think it will miss
  8. Heavy rain band moving north. Manchester will get the edge of it, which is only light. However a change in wind direction and we could well get the thick end of it. Looking at the maps I think it will either stay dry, or the heavens will open.
  9. No chance for this meeting. Rain forecast from 4pm to 10pm
  10. That's what happens when your chief call out your riders in public
  11. Haven't read much of this thread. But I'll say this. The track was rubbishe. Bolts and nuts everywhere if you belive the rumour. Second hand from the stox. I don't blame holder or troy for downing tools. This British bulldog mentality has stepped in once more when we need it least. If a track us crap, don't race it.
  12. If you want to go toe for toe in respect of examples then fair enough. It was open to debate, you know it, I know it and so does this whole forum. Let's not make poole an innocent party last season. Woffinden annoyed me the same but for different reasons. There is a simple reality here. Club's abuse a rule to get a head start. As a consequence another rule has been made to stop such bullrubbish. Unfortunately, belle vue have been the first to suffer. The one team that never broke it in the first place!! Stop playing innocence. Poole are the worst, and the known, culprits. I don't agree with what wolves did, but it was within the rules. Poole have been pulling these stunts for season's upon season's.
  13. Bachelor. Whatever man. It's just names. My point is clear. Last year a certain club brought in a certain rider by the name of lindback Faked an injury to a certain other person to make it happen. It's bollox. Now a genuine injury and club's have to suffer It's clear as day Fricke has a genuine injury The BSPA need to use common sense here. Yet more r/r!!!
  14. Down the years certain club's have cheated and manipulated rules. That's why this ruling was introduced. You now have a genuine case which is detrimental to a club and because selfishness in years gone by, other clubs are suffering. I include Swindon here. It's wrong. Chris Holder fits, who has just been shat on, and needs a club. This should be a 2 second phone call and deal done. But the BSPA will never agree to it.
  15. Should look at scenarios like these with common sense. Holder fits. It's a genuine injury, dispensation should be allowed in genuine injury cases
  16. Any links for live coverage Pm if necessary
  17. I don't have no time for poole but I have to hold my hands up, in or out of the rules, your always there. If a bad season is making the play offs, then your standards are very high. You can't win it every year
  18. Crowd was up. No doubt. To be honest the presentation is as good as it gets at belle vue. No bias. Prices are competitive nlbut drop to 15 and we'd full it every week. Another good speedway meeting tonight. Despite the score. Some excellent racing. Dan Bewley is as good as I've seen. I don't want to overkill because British speedway has a habit of of kicking your balls, but this lad has it. He's doing it everywhere. A big step next season. People will be after him.
  19. You will not be thrashed. Few teams are at our place. Holder is going quickly at the moment as well. I think you will take a point.
  20. There is now some rain forecast. Only light showers but water all the same. And it's fore art from 4pm to 9pm.
  21. Proper racing brain Dan. I've seen this with Bridger to an extent so don't want to get silly. But he's got so much potential. Of he's looked after, well he can achieve whatever he wants. Up to him.
  22. I have no words. For the semi decent poole fan out there, do you endorse this?
  23. 1: Poole fans enjoying this. Can you not see beyond the 4 points, and the damage it's doing to the sport? 2: The chairman of our sport making an out and out balls up, in his own backyard. Is this our leader? He couldnt run a bath.
