KB will be comfortably be in the top 5 averages imo. Only Doyle and Lambert are ahead for me.
-
I expect your about right there. I reckon about 8 and a half.
-
I’m not entirely certain what your waffling on about, but let’s not turn this into another Poole thread. There is a lot more happening in speedway outside of your Poole box.
-
He is being very real. 1 man. 7 teams. Owns 3 of them. The chairman of the BSPA. Just sit back, and have a real think about that for a second. I mean, really think about it. Its corrupt. End of story.
-
The top league will not dissolve, buster will never allow that.
-
Kenneth will be fine. He just seems at home with bv. In 2017 he was excellent and a proper number 1. Not had one like it since crump left. He’s had bad seasons but I think that’s because he has never felt as settled as he does with bv. A track like the NSS brings the best out of people. We have an excellent top 2 and will always have strong reserves. If Dan comes back in his previous form we will have a very, very good season.

Another win for max. Lidsey made the b final

Indeed. I’ve been here for a long time. Took a break for a short while, essentially because of what you’ve just said. It was once a thriving community but Christ it’s scraping the barrel now. Some absolute planks on these boards.
-
Yes but your not being classed as underdogs are you? That was the point I was making. Im a minority voice. Most people believe this Peterborough team is the strongest named team so far.
-
Why are people on this forum so utterly stupid? Why don’t you read the post. You know, the written words you quoted? Had you done so, then you’d be fully competent in understanding the point I was making. Instead you turn it into a war. Why would you do that? What in the name of god is wrong with you?
-
And I’ll keep saying it, it’s a forum after all, you know for opinions and stuff.
-
That’s pretty much what Ipswich will pin their hopes by. I don’t see it. It will be a team of solid riders but will get pummelled on the road and lose a few at home. Unless the witches can pull out a rabbit here, then they will be the leagues cannon fodder which is a shame. I think the reality is we needed 7 teams in the top league, it was the right thing for Chris to sell and the right moment, but I think it’s a poisonous combination.
-
It’s one of those teams that you look at on paper, and 9 from 10 people will say yep, that’s decent that. But I see what you see, and ageing team in part and others a team that is really quite average. I rate BWD highly, and that’s a great coup for the panthers, but aside I see a team that will fall short. Dont get me wrong, in a 7 team league that will include a water carrier like Ipswich, it is going to be involved in a play off chat, but I think that’s as far as it goes. The way people are talking, you would think they are favourites for the division. I just don’t see it. I see a decent enough team but one that will ultimately miss the mark.
-
Based purely on nationality, history tells us that Lidsey will fair better. I really hope Becker does something, because Christ knows the Americans need it. On paper, there really isn’t much between them as it stands, but from what I’ve seen of them both, and granted it’s not much, Lidsey looks much more natural on the bike.
-
People are talking like he is a risk. On a 4 point average. At reserve. He will be the signing of the season.
-
Lidsey with a good start in the Aussie champs. 6 from 6 then dropped off. He will be an absolute steal at reserve.
-
If nico at reserve floats your boat, and it does for me too, then Lidsey will blow you away
-
It most certainly should be but then pretty much every team thread gets derailed somewhere. It’s just the nature of this forum. I actually really rate this Poole team. It’s full of potential and whether it’s been done on a budget or not is immaterial because they’ve still managed a quality outfit. Not to derail or compare but it looks like the bv team to me. Both have stacks of potential and I think that is the way to win a league. Imo these 2 teams are the benchmark no matter how unpopular that opinion may be.
-
He’s a box of frogs jack but he’s a class act and I really wanted him at bv this year.
-
Max and his improvement has been excellent since he came over. He’s gone from 2nd string to the clubs number 1, and progressed excellently on the continent. Only an ef away from being a full time gp rider this season. He’s part of those 3 Aussies who will imo, all be gp riders in the next 2 to 3 years. I think sometimes we get lost with the Aussies and just assume that because they are Australians, they will be good. In fact many just end up being run of the mill riders in the uk and Sam Masters is one of said riders. That’s not to say he won’t develop later, like Doyle, but as it stands he is not in the same space as the 3 we are talking about.
-
Off the back of wildcard picks, where the formula for that choice has certainly been questionable over the years. Anyway, it’s all about nothing. Enjoy the season.
-
Whilst I totally get this is a forum and we can have an opinion, I’m struggling to understand how you have arrived at such a view point when everything tells us all otherwise. What, specifically, makes you think he will stagnate? Expand on your point. What is he doing currently, that makes you think he will stop and fall behind those riders mentioned when he’s actually currently ahead of them at the same age. I just don’t get it.
-
I’m not defensive at all and it has nothing to do with Max riding for BV. You are choosing to ignore what is in front of you. Facts. Averages. International form. Progress in the GP qualifiers. It’s all there for you to see. For whatever reason you think he will stop progressing and you have rightly been called out now by a number of posters because that is just an utterly stupid logic.
-
Sam is a good rider for wolves. Has been for a long time. But I think it starts and ends there. Internationally they are worlds apart.
