Think it's best to leave it here now. Some people believe the track still has teething issues and others dont. We will never agree. Good luck for the season
-
Convenient to leave out Rob, who holds a similar opinion, a seasoned speedway supporter, isn't it? I guess that doesn't fit your agenda. Do me a favour moving forward, dont engage me through the 3rd person and have the balls to do it directly Cheers

Bugger!

I'm sorry but there is no attitude here. The mate I know who was down there last night is a former stock car driver, been in and around the speedway scene for years and just generally knows his onions when it comes to dirt and oval motor sports in this country. Rob as well has been going to speedway for donkeys years. Up and down the uk watching bv home and away. He is well qualified to hold an opinion and if he says the track wasnt great I'll take his word for that. Like my post above said, it's not bitterness, it's a need to find a standard across the uk that is of premium quality and some tracks are really letting that down (swindon are FAR from the worst)
-
Sorry the waves etc was more a reference to poole ;-) I was being very general Look. I'm not bitter about the defeat and have no issue with Swindon. I just want to be clear about that. The track is new, had some issues at the start (it was done to quickly), and the last thing I want to see is it being let slip. There are clearly still 1 or 2 little issues and I just want Swindon to be acknowledging of it then it can be dealt with, because it's a real nice shape now and has the potential to be a superb track.
-
I was going to say Bellego. The issue there is it wouldn't solve the away conundrum. Saying that, you could bring in KK and that offers no guarantee of it either! I think the reality is that it will be uk based riders who are unattached. What about Bellego and Proctor (when Lynn release him) does that fit? Bellego flies round the NSS so that would give us a nice big lead in the home leg of a play off.
-
This type of attitude is a real worry. We are not 'showing off', we just want a higher standard. I'll accept that my own view pointed has shifted since going to the NSS because you see what a good race track looks like in the flesh. My attitude if I were an opposing fan would not be one of bitterness, it would be one of acceptance and agreement in respect of trying to find ways to bring the rest of the circuits, to that level of quality in terms of prep. Waves and bumps and holes dont belong on a speedway track. Swindon may well have been better than previous weeks last night and that is great, forward steps are being made, but it's still absolutely nowhere near good enough.
-
BV may well be a high standard but is indeed the standard that each track across the uk should be set at. It's safe, fair and consistent. I'm pleased another BV fan has picked up on what my colleague did last night, I can tell him he isn't going mad now! It's not a war, this. It's about getting a level set right across the board. It concerns me that some fans are accepting what would seem a poor quality track and even attempting to pass it off as 'good'. Really, we need to raise our standards.

It was actually my quote initially and I meant 3 pointer. Bickley and NKI, for example
-
That’s good to hear. Troy is certainly very vocal of poor tracks and tends to throw the toys out when he is dissatisfied with a surface, often reflected in poor points returns. He is a fair weather rider like that. That he is so powerful at home atm suggests the track is looking good, which is great for Swindon’s future.
-
I’m sorry. I don’t follow
-
Ipswich certainly the surprise pack so far! Lynn, when they bring back Riss, will kick on but that is a poor result and the sort of score Craig can be prone to from time to time.
-
I have acknowledged you were the better team and have congratulated Swindon twice now. I am not upset in any way. Please, don’t misinterpret what it is I am saying. I have simply shared the opinion of someone who felt the track was bumpy and dangerous to race side by side. It really is as simple as that.
-
He may be a useless TM but he needs to get into NKI and see if he fancies a gig!
-
I am sure Swindon supporters are all very level headed and that their judgement is sound. All I’m doing is sharing the opinion of someone who was at the meeting and said the track was bumpy and dangerous to race when close together. It’s contrary to what you and others believe and that’s absolutely fine. I don’t wish to cause conflict. Well done to Swindon on the win, god knows what would have happened had there been a fully for Toby!
-
I don’t need to be at it, as I said, there is someone who is and I trust that persons judgment. Dont be so salty. It’s just a statement from someone of which I’m sharing. Congratulations on the win tonight. Sounds well deserved
-
At the end of the day I’m big enough and ambiguous enough to not make this just about Poole. A lot on here to just want to pop off at Poole, well because it’s poole. There are a number of tracks in the uk that just need sorting out and Poole happens to be one of them. Swindon tonight sounds equally as bad.
-
Lemon needs to have a word in his ear over in Toruń
-
Whilst Wells will take the flack tonight and rightly so, and will likely be released after this, is does concern me that we have 2 2nd strings in dan and Steve who can’t win a race between them. Id release both Wells and Berge, get a 2 pointer in at reserve and go get another heatleader if we can
-
Someone is going to have to explain that heat 14 switch
-
Get rid of both Berge and Wells come to think of it. Will give us 10 points to play with
