  1. Harris and Andersen are past it. They are 2nd strings now. Whatever offer Kenneth Bjerre would like, it needs to be given to him on a silver platter otherwise Peterborough will fall through the floor this season.
  2. Very top heavy. It's worked for Swindon previously though so let's see what happens.
  3. Didn't see that one coming. Bjerre to Peterborough then. Happy with these 2 as our top 2. Slight step back on last year but hopefully have better reserves
  4. Well that is Holder gone who I was banking on. Don’t know why I was banking on him, but I was. Could be a tough season this for BV, if we can’t persuade Max or KB to return then we will be lacking heatleaders. A number of teams being pro active getting things done, don’t want to be the team that sits by and picks up the scraps.
  5. Kurtz will be no problem as a number 1 for BV. I think Poole has slowed him down. Getting a number 1 and 2nd HL will be tough for the entire league this season. I can see Jack Holder coming as well. Not a clue if it fits but Kurtz Lidsey Wright Bewley Holder Sedgman Ayres
  6. A post of sense in the current climate of positively. Like I said earlier, on the face of it this seems like great news. There will be questions raised though as the season goes and like you I can't forsee him sticking around for too long.
  7. Will never do it alongside the GP. There is simply no requirement to do so. It's the the riders around the top 16 without Swedish commitment that need to be enticed. I'll be almighty surprised if NKI returns
  8. He is on the decline, let's not dress it up, but regardless, it's terrific news for Sheffield and for British speedway In this league he will be an apt number 1 and he's box office. Bums on seats and that's what it's all about. Welcome back niki and congratulations to Sheffield
  9. There are varying degrees of earnings through the sport so it's difficult to come to a concrete conclusion. I can vouch for 2 riders who made a loss last season. If it wasn't for sponsorship, they wouldn't have been racing.
  10. Valid points but immaterial to be frank. It's not up to the fans to sort out the shambles that is speedway, that bit is down to the promoters. I also can't agree that the sport is run for the riders. Costs are getting higher YOY and many barely make a profit. The real money is at the top of the sport and that will naturally force the bottom end even further out. The costs remain largely the same.
  11. Like I said in a previous post. The sport is gone here. It's not about evolving anymore. It's not about how to get better. It's become so bad, it's now about how to keep it going for one more season. That is not a plan which will ever work. The sport is losing fans. Losing clubs. Those two things are massive. It's done.
  12. Answer that yourself as a fan. Forget the logistics and the statistics for the sport. Think like a fan. If you do, you will have the answer.
  13. I'm not convinced the promoters do know the reasons.
  14. I think Sheffield have a pool of riders who are being linked here, that would make them a more than decent team. No chance Chris Holder rides in the UK though, and if he did he would be BV bound imo.
  15. The league is going to be poor but I still think that team is way below what will be needed. I don't want to see Steve Worrall in a BV race jacket next season.
  16. How has he arrived at the conclusion that supporters don't want change? Has each club been active in getting this feedback from actual humans? You know those of us who actually go through the turnstile It's just a blatant lie. It's a cop out to appease people but I see through the s##t. They haven't got a clue. Non of them. This sport is never coming back. It's just drip fed life support.
  17. So essentially nothing will change looking at it. Sheffield for Poole in the top league otherwise it's as you were, but with a different TV package. To summarise, nothing to see here. Just the usual self invested bickering between certain promotions
  18. I'm not in the least bit surprised by this. Have to get Bjerre now. Absolutely critical. Cook should also be a consideration. I always find it interesting when you put Cook and Max side by side. Go back 7 years when they were both at Edinburgh and look at them now. The difference is quite staggering and Max dropping the UK will mean he only gets better.
  19. Agree with this. It's a multi use facility so I'd be pretty certain that the centre green is used for something although I wouldn't know what. Perhaps someone with a little more knowledge could answer. You are right about the track though, it's something I've been arguing for a long time. It needs some banking and the track widening throughout.
  20. Why are people assuming that things will remain the same? For these 3 to even consider this, then there must be something in the pipeline? Kent, that makes a lot of sense. I would think they can get the curfew lifted, and if so they will be an excellent addition to the top league. Just need to invest the TV money into the track. Sheffield is a no brainer. Berwick just seems stupid, but like I say, there must be something there to make them apply.
