I think we will find the money.

BV won’t go to the wall. We are owned by a very wealthy man. He runs the club within its financial boundaries, it’s why he’s such a successful businessman. Its what will stop this deal potentially, if he goes into his own pocket then Tai will be at BV next season
-
I wouldn’t be so doubtful if I were you.

I’d have Jake Allen as a number 2 quite happily. Fricke Allen Kurtz Wright Woffinden Blodorn Brennan I don’t even know if that fits, but it’s one hell of a team with a ridiculous amount of top end strength and solid 2nd strings Or: Fricke Wright Kurtz Holder Woffinden Blodorn Brennnan Im almost certain that’s over but not by as much as it looks I would think. I mean just imagine that, it’s almost unfair

Wasn’t aware of that part. Adrian is running it like a business, which is right, because that’s what the club is, but he has the money I’m sure of that. I have concerns about Tais commitment, I don’t think he’s riding for or because it’s BV, he’s coming here because of the track and that we are probably the only club who will pay him. But if he gets the money he wants, then it’s something we have to do. He will score a load of points and on that average is a no brainer.
-
He’s not based in the UK currently is my understanding. I’m not sure how he would only do home meetings tho, so something has changed for him to be approaching us again.
-
Not the case. He has apparently approached BV.

Committing to a full season is an issue.

So I’ve heard it’s likely gonna be Tai. I’m not sure how I feel about that tbh.

2 sides to the debate I guess. Imo it’s not always about numbers. I look at technique, the way they handle themselves on the bike, the track craft and so on. They are both decent riders at this stage, but the gap will grow as the years go and it will be Tom in my eyes who will become the better rider. I’m not claiming to be some superhero who can see the future here, it’s just an opinion based on years watching the sport. That said, whilst you can’t make a direct comparison between the 2 as rising stars, I do see your point based on last season alone. Anders had a better season, no question. This year will be a better measure. As much as I like Tom, I do see him as a conservative rider, and I think he could use some tuition from someone like Tai. He likes the inside, and finds good speed there, he’s smooth and looks classy on a speedway bike. But he doesn’t attack the track enough, and often I’ve felt like he’s riding within himself. There is enough natural talent and ability there for him to go really far, he just needs to unlock it with a bit of help from people who have the experience and track record to do it.

Any idea on the other 2 riders

What is thorsell doing? Fricke Wright Holder Thorsell Kurtz The Dane ?? Brennan
-
Those 2 and that’s a league winning team. Is Mark staying?
-
Not overly disappointed tbh.
-
It’ll be Richie most likely I’d would like to see Jacob. He’s easily a 3rd HL, potentially a number 1 and had a really good season when he was last here. No idea for other reserve but that Dane did the PC meeting so hopefully we had a word.
-
Batch is no risk on that average. He goes well round the NSS so it’s a no brainer. Really like the team so far, would like to see Thorsell if he’s interested, would give us a really strong top 3 and 2 good 2nd strings. Others to complete teams I know but that would be a grand final team imo.

People have got lost in the slickness of the track which made it different to how it usually is, then somehow related that difference to it being a boring meeting. It wasn’t. It was a very, very good meeting and way better than anything I’ve seen in a GP or from Poland. Don’t agree with the rain and grippy bit, as long as the dirt was pulled back down post meeting that track needs and will take some rain. IMO it will help
-
Absolutely nothing wrong with that track. It was a more then decent meeting with plenty of passing. It was slicker than usual given there was such an extensive practice. That only created more racing lines though, there was outside, inside and mid track. Impossible to defend and even harder to team ride. When a 3 time world champion said pretty much exactly that, I’d be inclined to trust his judgment. There were at least 5 races that were outstanding, some incredible speedway. I’ve seen way worse meetings than that this season around the NSS when the track has been pretty much perfect, and I know because I have a season ticket. In fact I’d go so far as saying that was the 2nd best meeting of the season after the PO final. That must have been at least 60 passes. As ever this forum is being destroyed by f%%%%%%g idiots and the MOD team, if one even exists, need to sort there s%%t out because it puts decent people off posting. Poles are a class apart and Tai isn’t the rider this season that he has been, Lambert was better overall. Id be using Bewley and Lambert tomorrow, I think we stand a better chance doing that. First time in years I’ve felt confident leaving Tai out of a GB line up, but we the reality is we currently have 2 riders who are better imo and in DB one who knows the track inside and out and has some serious speed around it.
-
No bias here, but it should be Bewley. That is based purely on his track knowledge. I’d also say that he has a better chemistry with Tai, it’s a pairs event and those 2 have ridden together all season long. I think even outside of that, there is very little between Rob and Dan. You could argue in favour for both of them with a reasonable case. I think Rob is the slightly stronger rider overall but I don’t think that matters because it’s at the NSS, Dans home track and a track he holds the record on.

They will. Proud as that we can still do speedway like that in the UK. It was edge of your seat stuff, and I’d defy anyone who was there tonight, who has never been to a live speedway meeting, to tell me that wasn’t brilliant entertainment. -

Cracker of a meeting was that. No clue how it will go, don’t really care, I’m just glad we can still produce speedway at that level, in this country. -
