  2. Great Meeting, yes it was an easy win but it was very entertaining with 'Mildenhall Got Ommerd' on the underside of Blackbird's race jacket been one of them, the other has got to be Max Clegg's 2nd place behind his team mate Blackbird in heat 11! What a ride out of the 2nd bend and flew past Covs number 1! Brilliant and worth the entrance fee!
  3. Same as last year, Gate 4 is a long way away from the curb on the turn 1 so thats why its got no chance, even when they gated well from there they had to cut back to get anywhere close! Gaters Paradise to be frank...Tai did really well, his heat when he was in gate 1 fell nicely and put him on 7 and was almost through! Heat 18 was a good one with Tai in a Champion Sandwich! Ward Fantastic to watch, how he missed the other rider was an art form of brilliance...Hampel had a point to prove and did it well! Earnt his wildcard place after being unlucky last year. Lindback, Vaculick and Emil were my ones to watch but just couldnt mix it at all... Looking to be a good Season...Riders were taking points all over the shop!
  4. Would you say that Eurosport is more accessible or less accessible?
  5. Well Wheres Your Money Going This Year! Poole??? Ward??? Austrailia??? That Kids a Boy Wonder!
  6. If it was everyweek then no...Monthly maybe...Quaterly like it is going to be this year YES! If its quaterly im expecting a fair few pages worth, its 5 pound a copy if you subscribe which is what I have already done, if it less in the shops I will be disapointed.
  7. I completly understand, I do often purchase the SS but my point being is that some of the information in there is old news... by the time I purchase it! Sorry, I have edited my post to point out that the NEWS is what we can find readily on the internet as it is just news! This new Magazine looks modern and refreshing, also hopefully it will deliver a good Interviews and in-depth information (Just like the SS) but maybe in a modern way!
  8. I have not read anything about this on these forums so just thought I'd start onne up to discuss. Its a brand new Mag http://www.insidespeedway.co.uk/ and discription on the website states: 'For the past 6 years Speedway365 has been delivering the latest news and results to supporters in the UK. As with any business the natural progression is to expand, and through our parent company Yellow Pixel Media we have decided to bring a new product to the speedway world. The idea behind the magazine is to bring an inside look into the sport to the mainstream and concentrate on different areas of the sport. Our designers have opted for a premium feel that wouldn’t look out of place in your local newsagent along side other high-quality magazines from different sectors. Inside Speedway Magazine is set to launch on April 1, 2013 and includes interviews with Tai Woffinden, Nicki Pedersen, Darcy Ward, Antonio Lindback, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Peter Kildemand and many more. Along with interviews we have some talented writers who have penned a number of features.' It then states that there will only be four issues this year: 'In 2013 we will be releasing four issues of Inside Speedway Magazine, out first comes out on April 1 with the second due to be released before World Cup week in July. The third issue will be released at the conclusion of the Grand Prix series while the final issue will be released at Christmas.' Sounds good to me, I like a good read and the Star (edited for PHILIPRISING) releases news what we can find out on the internet anyway. This sounds more in depth to riders and speedway I will subscribe!
  9. Nothing more could have been said or done...A tragic accident that nobody could foresee. #RICO

  12. Not Happening...UKSpeedwaySeries Annoucement UKSpeedwaySeries Press Release 28/02/13 In response to the SCB press release dated 06.02.13 regarding the MCF affiliated UKSpeedwayseries we would like to shed light on our side of the situation, Naturally we are disappointed to feel we have been left with no option but to pull the plug on the 6 event 2013 series under the understanding that the venues, of which 5 of the 6 Venues were confirmed, feel they have been left with very little freedom in the situation regarding rules put in place by their league club governing body, the ACU affiliated SCB. The UKSpeedwayseries being governed by rules and regulations created and enforced by the MCF felt an individual series in the UK would be a welcomed addition to the motorcycle racing calendar with the firm vision to attract new fans to the sport and inspire some of the large MCF database of members a chance to check out Speedway racing and arrange opportunities to try the sport for themselves. A forerunning youth production scheme and series, designed to work in close co-operation with the UKSpeedwayseries has also been jeopardized due to the restrictions placed. On the understanding that owned venues actively sublet to generate extra income, in many cases current British Speedway clubs indeed rent out venues on only other than on the evenings of club meetings taking place, the UKSpeedwayseries was going to be a unique product focused purely on an individual series throughout the country organised on a night purposely chosen not to clash with any other professional Speedway club and should have been a welcome addition to the 2013 calendars of the venues involved. Sadly the venues felt they could not commit to the confirmed bookings after the aforementioned SCB press release came to light, we understand their position and sympathize with the obvious restrictions enforced upon the tracks, ultimately restricting their oppertunity to earn them extra revenue in 2013. At each event, fundraising projects for financial contributions to the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund and a well-known spinal cord research charity were also firmly in place and welcomed by the charities concerned, senior members of both the SCB and BSPA were made aware of this proposition and all other aspects of the UKSpeedwayseries at very early stages. The UKSpeedwayseries was financially designed to sustain all 6 events, giving added support to the riders who themselves have been victims of enforced limited payment structures, and most importantly set out to serve the sport and raise it’s awareness nationally. Taking the response from SCB into consideration, our intentions have either been misunderstood or our product for whatever reason was seen to threaten the current SGB product in some way, however our enthusiasms have not been dampened and we look forward to working closely with the MCF on some exciting upcoming projects in 2013. “This is a real shame that the narrow-mindedness of some people has stalled the launch of this series” commented MCF General Manager Roy Barton “The promoters of the series worked really hard to ensure that there was no encroachment on current activities and were looking into bringing new blood in to the sport through their connection with the MCF and the introduction of a youth feeder series, an area where the MC Federation work hard throughout the year, we will obviously continue to support the series in any way we can”
  13. Those kind of gates happened years ago...Im just giving ideas and I attend my clubs meetings and forums to try and put across ideas to them to try and help improve. Your reply of 'All Total Fantasy' is just you basically saying, we have tryed everything and there not coming back! You have got to think forward not dwell on the past!
  14. Totally underdstand but the amount of times I have said im off to watch speedway tonight and the person who I have said it to reply with 'Whats That, or is that motorcross' they dont even know what Speedway is? Thats the problem, nobodies know and if nobody knows....nobody comes. Once they do come, yes your right then its time to showcase the product and make people want to come back! So there is two aspects, getting the sport known and getting people to come back!
  15. Fingers crossed that they are shown on TV somewhere, I belive a channel on freeview would be more benifical to the sport! If ITV can get it on ITV 4 but advertise it all over ITV 1 and 2 whilst Corrie is on then it may get it more noticed and more people may visit there local track! Another intresting point is that the BBC last year did a radio comentry of the Elite League play off final on 5live sports extra? Could the Beeb be preparing for a bid at speedway, they are hoping to get sports back on there listings but more obscure sports I belive? Lots of options but i think we should aviod sky, they will leave us in a right pickle if they drop the Elite League next year aswell!
  16. My £100 for world champion is on Greg Hancock (USA) @ 10/1
  17. Id put money on Lindback, he showed in the later stages of last years GP that he can win! Hes got something that lad!
  18.
