Coventry V Wolves Friday 10th July
Pinny replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What a shower this wolves team is and to think brum was saying their potentially a top 4 team a couple of weeks ago! Ha! Lindgren garbage and well past his sell by date.... Think they could build a decent team next year though starting with Woffinden on a bargain average - need to give him an offer he cant refuse or who else will line up at 1? Lindgren has proved hes no longer a number one. Unless they decide to get on the phone to Nicki P? -

Sad news indeed - reminds me of Newports last season Sadly press releases like this wont help the crowds as the malletts found out. The sport in the UK is dying on its arse - forget the success of Cardiff Gp that is in general treated as a one off day out for a great event, the amount of newport fans i seen most years there who hadnt been to newport for years on end confirmed that. Newports final season offered everything, the track and racing was superb under floodlights, a very dominant 1-7 (probably one of the strongest ever pl septets ive seen) and the team was full of racers - lanham, gjedde, doyle, aspegren , who would miss the gate and pick riders off for fun sometimes Hard to see where scunny go from here -
Fell asleep after heat 8.... Watched it back today and it got much better as it progressed tho Nice to see puk take the win, will he kick on from here? Certainly be good to see him do so

Back to earth for cook. Didnt know what to do then. Track looks good but still rather watch a rougher surface with better racing than a billiard table with little passing Crowd looks down as well
-
Snoozefest so far. Seeing cook win that heat says it all about how much of a gaters paradise this is Doyles got to go for that

Just tuned in in Aus on the tv with a pack of beers after a big night out..... come on Nicki!!!!!

Going for a NKI or NP win Kasperzak on those odds looks good as well for a top 3 place

Love people saying Hancock clumped him.... He ran at him and shoulder barged him off his bike. Fair to exclude nicki but looked a racing incident to me and ive lost a bit ot respect for pedersen for not getting up and giving the old man a good pasting. So what is it? A broken hand or dodgy machinery? Seems people are going out of their way to find excuses for him - maybe he should sit out for a month whilst his hand recovers as if he continues to ride as he is his average will look very attractive for another team next season - or maybe even later on this season! He probably isnt averaging much more than Gjedde was for Berwick after two months -

Barker for a number one has dropped a lot off his starting figure which wasnt assessed, it was a real average from the year before By his standards he has been poor. This isnt a dig as i like him as a rider. To drop from near 9 to 7.5 is a poor figure and anyone who argues otherwise clearly has little knowledge of the sport. An established number one like Ben Barker shouldnt be blaming machinery problems as an excuse for poor form -

Robin Aspegren first to the bar! Thats a surprise -
What a shame having to leave the UK and come back to Australia!!!!'

Stead wont retire and why should he - hes probably the PL number 1. Had a pretty good career - remember him being a star in Sheffs 1999 pl winning side. Never be a gp rider but one of the Pl greats for sure. Sheffield need to sign a worthy replacement though if they are to challenge for honours - Dryml would be a diabolical replacement.

Seen a few of your posts lately and the wprd thicko sprung to mind - this post clearly cements why i think that!!! Rising will tell you black is white as long as his bsi lovers tell him to do so. At least that disgrace of a gp wont be back on the calender next year - doesnt even look a good stadium so fail to understand where the comments about it being a major stadium come from!
-
switched off after heat 4, complete rubbish on a pathetic track. What a load of garbage As for that berk phil rising defending the non stop nonsense that occurs at most gps, grow a pair and admit the whole show is a farce I was looking forward to the Melbourne gp at the ethiad stadium at the end of the season seeing melbourne is my new home city but probably give it a miss now if its another farcial mess of a temp track.

Always remember Ashfield as being one of the PLs best race tracks when i first started following Newport. Didnt attend until 2003/4ish but used to have the videos of the wasps scottish tours and the racing was superb. Seen a few heats of lastnight and the track looks good - i remember the stadium as being a right dump but looks completely different now and a good crowd too Feel big time for Peter Mole at sheffield - a good looking team just falling apart in front of him. Stead oit, in form bellego out and now this with proctor Bridger for stead and bellego for proctor still leaves them looking a good side - comptons rolling back the years which is great to see .

Watched this from Aus at 3am this morning, thought the track was disgraceful. Complete farce Cant imagine this gp being held again despite the contract. -

Knew leicester looked good - even with andersen coventry still would of had a pasting Get ris of that pole what a waste of 5.50 - havin a higher average than harris and andersen in poland means sod all, both rubbish over there these days. I think klindt would be a better bet at least hed average around 5! Jamrog wont get 3. Awful signing -

For me despite a few wins at reading over the years one that sticks out for me was a bank holifay monday norning meeting in 1999. I remember watson getting 5-1d by kokko and clews in heat one then reeling off five wins .... Sure that was the day eldridge beat morris in heat 15 as we romped to victory! Great times

Pinny replied to sommelier's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I remember Risagrr being very very highly rated at 15. He was beating the lilkes of nicki p and the other top danes in denmark before he was allowed to ride innthe uk Ended up being rubbish but at 15/16 he was a very very highly rated rider, as was pavlic -
Too busy enjoying the Aussie sun to even notice it.... Oh dear 😂
