Cardiff Saturday 9th July 2016
Pinny replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Can definately say that having worked near Olympic stadium for 3 weeks in 2013 in Stratford there is far more to do in Cardiff near the stadium than around that part of London. Nothing wrong with Cardiff, still a big crowd, fantastic day out and the racing is apparantly getting better every year. Was the third cardiff GP in a row i have missed due to being in Aus but cant wait for october and the aussie gp now. Shame to see nicki and nki so off the pace this season -
Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Pinny replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
say what you like about robert72, hes certainly got a fair amount of people biting!!! -
Woffy to bv? Never happen, steve brum said he will only ever ride for wolves in the uk

Somerset for the title this year. What an outfit theyve turned into since the hancocks have fully taken over the complete promotion after the shambles of russell and pavitt etc.

The fact people want a rider whos struggled to average 8 in the PL as well as being considerably lower than Harris in covs averages, over Harris who has just finished 3rd in a GP, is baffling. So what if King won the british final, a one off meeting on a rain affected track. Harris is a much better all round rider and is notorious for pulling out good performances for team GB. Harris has to be in there, if your going to have the attitude of who cares we will be 4th anyway, you may as well field lambert, r worrall, s worrall, ellis and bates!!!! Woffy harris lambert cook. Or maybe nicholls for cook. Harris has to be in there.

Makes me laugh how all these el snobs are coming on picking holes at these pl meetings. Over the years how much dross have we had to suffer from el meetings???? Too much. -
Tai Harris Cook Lambert Harris always steps up in the world cup, and esp after his gp rostrum finish lastnight. That would be my side, god knows who id have at reserve. Bates has the medals but ellis has been far better in the el this season. Tough one

Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 29/6/16
Pinny replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Think he over rates Newman. As the seasons progressing Garrity is proving hes the better rider , newmans making no progress this season whatsoever. -
What a waste of semen starman really is. Banging on about presentation yet when sky visit poole their track has more holes in it than a golf course. I really believe hes the reason everyone on here despises poole, shovlar is brilliant and always has been for his banter and having a few pints with in cardiff, starman has the brain of a two year old. Absolute pillock of the highest order and matt ford must cringe every time he sees one of his posts. He makes trigger look intelligent

King's Lynn V Coventry Bees (sky) Wed 22nd June

Id get rid of batchelor now before his average plummets - absolute waste of space. Mads not much better but at least the efforts there. To think at one point Batchelor was going to be the number one in this side instead of Iversen! If i was lynn id be on the phone to bjerre, could be as bad as batchelor or could be nearly as good as puk if his confidence is back -
Monster is disgustint and always has been, absolutely disgusting taste Dont mind redbull, got quite a nice taste. Same with relentless.

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Pinny replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I seen Nicholls riding in the rye house ben fund a few years ago, almost certainly -
I think people need to realise that Bech has gone from a promising young teenage hopeful to a standard, 5-6 pt el Second string. Like a lot of danes, early form Shows lots of promise and potential but the older he gets, the less chance of making it as a top top rider Kinda falls in the Risager mould, for me anyway

Lakeside Hammers V Wolverhampton Wolves - 1 June On Sky
Pinny replied to TonyE's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Back in their PL days it was a horrible track however these days any meeting i see there seems to be pretty good Watching Jonsson around there is superb, he really is something special around Lakeside -
Being perfectly honest, id say that JC released that statement hoping and prayiny ethridge would quit To issue that statement is bonkers unless you want etheridge to quit Has any promoter/manager ever come out and said such things about a current 1-7 rider before?
-
Cant believe it either, also Pboro fans saying theyd like Barker instead of Jakobsen who i thought had been doing a good job!
-
Id take Rene Bach over a current ben barker any day of the week.

Quite a few riders have sponsorship and injury issues and then their form declines, watson and stonehewer are two who spring straight to mind, and mike coles and pickering. All four had big sponsors, the day they left they were never the same. wato was one of the best pl riders in the last season Mallett transport sponsored him, soon as they left he was never the same even before the injuries and its the same with the other ones i listed. Hope barker does come back well hes a very likable rider imo -

Really? As already stated, if it is purely equipment, hes been around long enough to know the score regarding his premier league set up requirements etc. I do like barker, always have, but he should be professional enough to have a good set up around him. -

Sad to say after so many injuries, riders do lose their confidence somewhat, no matter how fearless they were in the past. In his peak barker was a sublime pl rider, however he has been slipping down the ranks for a while now. Seen it with riders before and will again. Cant ever see him becoming a consistent heatleader again sadly, the fact he is struggling at number 4 says its own story.
