Ive said it for ages now, Chris4gillian and Gavan are the same people. Been obvious for ages. Too similar in too many ways: Both rarely attend speedway Both dont live in the town of the club they support Both are as thick as planks Both talk drivel Coincidence? Nah. And isnt Chelmsford a city Gavan? Surely youd of said a city called chelmsford not a town if you actually lived their

You always used to say that you only cared about their EL form. Id go with Kk everytime, if as i suspect he is Pooles number one next season i reckon hell be the top rider in the league -

Belle vue are the favorites, as the bookies rightly think. -
I think what gavan is saying is that riders will make sure their equipment abroad is bang up to scratch where as here they dont put as much effort into maintaining their gear. Was told first hand from a former Danish world cup rider who has since retired that in poland some clubs go as far as insisting on riders engines are re-tuned every x amount of rides so their gear is in tip top condition at all times.

Wildcards 2017.....
Pinny replied to Panthers89's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think if he cuts out uk next season he will be fresher and will mount a serious challenge in 2017. Have followed his scores ever since he raced for Newport in 2003, where he as signed as a 9.00 assessed foreigner. He had rode for Lynn for a few meetings the previous season and was classed as a no hoper by many but he was superb for Newport and actually averaged 9.50 before moving onto oxford. Always been an exciting rider, his style is superb as are a lot of his charges from the back. He is a quiet guy, but much more exciting on the bike than the likes of Hancock. He has had a poor season, but i expect him t bounce back next season. Far more deserving than pedersen whos showing signs of tailing off as he hits 40, cant see him on a podium again. Can i see iversen? If he comes back fully charged for 2017 yes I can. He can handle pressure well, as proved by his match winning ride in 2014 to come from the back on the last bend to win Denmark the world cup. -
it would be worth peanuts in all honesty, its a business losing money in a rented stadium. Just like when newport was sold, the Malletts were asking for a lot more than what potential buyers were willing to pay, and lets be fair Newports stadium was probably a lot more attractive than berwicks. Lets hope it doesnt go the same way as Newport though

Wildcards 2017.....

Rubbish about iversen. After years of always being on the fringe of world class, he had burst into form these last few seasons and emerged as one of the top riders in the world. Clearly having a tough season he deserves another chance. He is still Denmarks best rider -
Then people are free to say what they like. Most would want to put the record straight.

Belle Vue V Coventry Friday 2nd Sep

Jacobs has progressed hugely - from someone who took time out of the sport, to come in and score as he has been, even if it is only at home, has been superb. Hes been a rider to catch my eye whilst looking through the scores. But i would say in general, the edr has been a success for certain riders and not for a few. It does prove how hard the el would be, for example would you see Ellis holding down a pl heatleader berth? I dont think he would just yet. Yet he is scoring freely in the el. Then look at bates, hardly ripping it up for sheffield. But flying in the el. Garritty and in particular S Worrall have been the biggest success stories. Worrall was on the verge of retirement 2 or 3 years ago, a sub 3 point pl average. Since the drafts came in, hes emerged as a solid el second string and a huge force in the pl, same as garrity. Newman has stalled somewhat and in all honesty i think he could of peaked now -
Like or hate him, Shovvy has always had strong reliable sources on this forum and people who have been on here for 10+ years will confirm that . TW really does need to come out and make an official press release on the matter to put it to bed once and for all

Cant believe people are shocked Pedersen is scoring as he is. He is way past his best but still scoring solidly enough , OK nothing special but lets be honest he hasnt been a genuine 9 pointer since about 2008 now. Long gone are the days of being a top rider but still steady enough at reserve. As for people saying hes boring and always has been, i find that a myth just like i did when people said it about leigh lanham. I seen pedersen and paul fry have a few superb races at swindon in the pl and over the years have seen bjarne involved in some super races on the tv. Hes been a great servant to UK speedway, time he hangs up his el boots after this season though. Would be nice to see him have one final season in the PL with newcastle where it all started, i am still pretty sure he could easily average 9 in the premier league.

Id say riders caught with recreational drugs in their system would of been taking it away from meetings, cant honestly see the benefit of taking speed, cocaine, ecstacy etc whilst riding a speedway bike, the riders themselves would know exactly how dangerous it is.

Speedway Gp's 2017

Australias booze prices are outrageous, $13.50 for a pint of heinekien!!! -
But there is such thing as assets and has been for years. There shouldbe no such thing as wildcards in the gps either but that will also never change no matter how wrong it is

No, lets not. Would like to remember jimmy saville for his work rather than what he got up to in his private life? I doubt it somehow. The guy was a murderer, and a twisted one at that. -

Lots of disputes are resolved over a boxing match, i just think youve bottled it. And your more than welcome to tell them, it was a joke for god sake but if you want my details ill pass them on and your cousins can get in touch. -

Do you even read my posts? I comment on speedway all the time! And i hate you and you hate me so what better way to settle it than a boxing match, with the loser paying £1000 to a good cause? -
Why on earth wouldnt Puk get a wild card? Been one of the best riders in the world for the last 3 or 4 years, had a rough season this but fully expect him to bounce back in 2017. Pedersen is questionable, nearly 40 and is on the downward spiral now, cant see him ever being on the final standings rostrum again. As much as im a fan, i think he would be better off bowing out of the gps at the end of the season.

Ill look forward to my holiday for sure. Youve been done over in an argument, made a fool out of like you have enjoyed trying to do so many times over the last year or two to others and now someone has completely owned you your resorting to reporting to the mods as you have no comebacks. I am back in the UK over xmas until January, hows about this, we arrange a charity boxing match and the loser gives £1000 to the ben fund? Or will you do a robert and bottle it? I promise to honour my side of it. -
