  1. Cook vs kurtz - kurtz is improving at a fast rate, is only marginally behind Cooks average now and has expierienxe at number one in the top flight whereas Cook hasnt. Come October I would say Kurtz will higher average so I would probably go with him. Fricke vs Holder - Holder all day long , he wont be world champ again but if he has his head remotely screwed on there is plenty of room to add to his figure. Fricke didnt kick on as hoped last season. Tungate vs Sundstrom - Sundstrom all day long. Worrall vs Josh G - hard one but Josh G averaged more last season and that was from riding at 1 in a struggling side. Then you throw in the two Poles and this Poole side looks brilliant. If they avoid injuries I cannot see anyone touching them, and that is just with the Poles adding to their figures. The top three could all add a point if not more to their aves.
  2. If you think cook, fricke, worrall and tungate is as strong as Holder, Sundstrom, kurtz and Josh g, i think your very much mistaken
  3. After about 3 meetings at Newport and his away scores at the likes of Exeter, Swindon and Reading, it was plain to see he was going far. I remember Jonas Davidson coming in for Reading that season on a 9.00 and all the Reading fans spouting he would be a better signing, ha. Nki went on to average over 9.00 in his first year, and was sensational for Newport. Was all set to sign for a second season until Wagstaff at Oxford said he wasnt gonna let him double up again which was a massive shame. I think he would of topped the averages the following season had he raced PL.
  4. So your saying Ford may use KK if Sundstrom deal falls through? Pull the other one FFS!
  5. I remember Iversen for Newport at Swindon in, it must of been 2003. In heat 15 he laid it down on the first bend and stayed down, Newport were 2 up going into that heat i think with Watson unbeaten after 4 rides . Iversen got fined for staying down and the ref fined him , in which the crowd had a whipround. Pretty sure wato needed to win heat 15 to win it for newport but missed the gate in the re run and altho he passed Allen (?) he couldnt get close to Gjedde. Good times
  6. If you hadn’t of childishly liked my post with the laughing face, this wouldn’t of turned into an “argument”. i simply stated Iversen is superior to Lindgren in UK speedway these days to which you laughed at, despite it being true. In the last four seasons in which both Lindgren and Iversen have raced in the EL/whatever you want to call it, Iversen has had the higher average. And that is why any day of the week, I would take him over Lindgren, espiecially on a track away from Monmore Green.
  7. Isnt Lindgren also coming back from a nasty back injury as well?
  8. My backside is he. Iversens the better premiership rider and has been the past 5 years, the stats do not lie. Also if we are going to talk about GP form, Iversen has a bronze medal to his name, has Lindgren ever been on the rostrum come end of season? The last two seasons both have rode in the Premiership together: 2015: Iversen 8.98, Lindgren 6.11 2016: Iversen 9.04, Lindgren 7.21. This is despite the fact Lindgren has a huge home track advantage at Monmore. I would also guess that Iversens averages in Poland and Sweden over the last five years have been higher, but cant find the links to the averages. Lindgren was superb around 2009ish in the EL, that is without question. But now, I would take Puk over him every time in League Speedway. Gps maybe a different story, but this is a Kings Lynn thread. edit, just checked. Iversen had a higher average in 2012 and 2013, as well (in the UK). there is no doubt in the UK, Niels Kristian Iversen is the better rider
  9. We arent discussing GP form or form elsewhere, we are discussing British racing where Iversen has been superb for the last four or five years. I, and I would think most, would go with NKI over lindgren as far as uk speedway is concerned
  10. Lol. lindgrens years as top dog are long gone in the el now. 2016 when both Iversen and lindgren rode in the EL, Iversen was two points higher than him so anyone suggesting he would be a better signing for Lynn than iversen is deluded. Lindgren was one of the top averaged riders last year but so he should be in such a weak league. For kings lynn iversen is a much better signing than Lindgren would be.
  11. I see that numpty Steve Brum laughed at my last post. Hes obviously dull enough to not see how true it is. Iversen nearly 2.00 a higher average than Lindgren in 2016. would much rather NKI leading my side than Lindgren.
  12. Iversen far superior to lindgren and hampel in UK speedway
  13. Iversen is a top number one and in all honesty is a pretty damn exciting rider to watch, why on earth anyone at this point in their careers would prefer Nicki P to him at number one I dont know. Pedersen is probably finished now, his best days are long gone. And I am a huge Nicki Pedersen fan.
  14. Sundstrom posted it on Twitter a few days ago as well.
  15. Yet Rickardsson has six world titles, Gollob has one !!!! Sure Rickardsson has many sleepless nights thinking of that.
  16. Surely your joking. Rickardsson was an absolutely immense talent on a bike. Some of the moves he made were out of this world, he was simply awesome. As for Loram, entertaining yes exciting yes, one of the most skilled ever? Do me a favour! He had an exceptionally good year in 2000 and a good half season the year before but was always IMO in the shadow of Crump and Rickardsson, even Hamill. He was a very entertaining rider but even in league speedway, when he was around I would always of taken Crump, Rickardsson, Hamill, Adams, Sullivan and probably Hancock over him to lead my team. If he could gate it could of been a different story, but he couldnt and thats half the battle so thats that.
  17. Thorsell acheived his average riding as a second string and lines up next season as a heatleader, cant see what the arguing is about although bill and ben are involved so should not really be surprised
  18. There is a hell of a difference riding as your teams number one, expected to go all out winning races and leading from the front, to being a teams second heatleader. Far less pressure to produce wins. Also , he rides with a reserve in his first three programmed rides where as number ones are paired with a second string in their first three . More chance of a second string coming in ahead of a number one than a reserve coming in ahead of their number 5 partner. As said , we will have to see this season how they go. Fully fit over a full season, with the rate hes improving, I would fancy Kurtz to end the season with a higher average than Morris.
  19. Well he topped the league averages so though dominant may not quite be right, Morris was still the best part of a point below him and Doyle took the pressure off him. Now he is the teams star number one, theres question marks over whether he can go out and win the big heat 13 and 15’s. hopefully he does, always been a fan of him.
  20. You have to wonder what on earth Lynn will do if Iversen doesnt end up riding for them next season...
  21. I quite like Morris, but in all honesty he was second behind a dominant Doyle in the averages last season whilst Kurtz was at number one most of the season. It remains to be seen if Morris can maintain his starting average whilst riding at number one next season...
  22. Andersen still a very good rider but throws in too many duff rides these days. Always liked him, crazy to think he never won a medal in the GPs. I think it was 05/06 that he was, Imo, the best rider in world speedway. But definately his average is only going one way and I think its a good move from Ford to release him now.
  23. Dont even have to go there, their behavior on this forum is enough for me.
  24. Jesus christ this thread is something else. Sundstrom was a near 8 pointer when riding in this league a few years ago, hes got better as a rider and the league has been watered down hugely. i am no fan of Poole and to be honest most of their fans annoy the hell out of me but if they round this team off with Sundstrom and Shanes, it really does look head and shoulders above any of the rest. Kurtz is a young improving star of the future, Holder at worst will hold his average, Josh G averaged 7 riding at number one last season and starts as a third heatleader, Sundstrom is a quality rider who can ride all tracks big or small, Woryna is a hot prospect who will surely make a mockery of his average, the other Pole is the stand out reserve in the league and Shanes is improving and has a year under his belt plus has secured more meetings for 2018. sorry but if any other team announced this line up nearly every fan on here would be saying how good it looks. given the rules and averages etc, it is the stand out side. Thats assuming Shanes and Sundstrom sign but it looks so good that even if they dont, they will still take some stopping.
  25. If someone i.e Joe Bloggs was willing to open a brand new stadium for top flight speedway in Coventry, something Horton isnt capable of doing, surely Horton would have no problem in passing the name over ? as apart from the name and a couple of assets, what does owning Coventry Speedway mean? It was bad news as soon as he became involved in Coventry, all the fans on here bar one or two called it.
