  1. The uncertainty is whether the reassessment of GP riders is true or not. I am 100 percent certain that Peter Kildemand is not classed as a GP rider from 2017 or 2018. He rode as a reserve in the 2017 series, whether he took part in 1 or 10 Grand Prixs. Rightly or wrongly, despite how many he raced in, he was never a full time rider. The debate is whether this ruling regarding grand prix riders being reassessed to 9.00 after a year out is true or not.
  2. You started saying about a footballer coming on as a sub 20 mins into the fa cup. You compared that with Kildemand coming in as a reserve in the grand prix series. fa cup football = team event . Speedway grand prix = individual event. Clown
  3. The GPs arent which is what your comparing the scenario to.
  4. Not the same. Fa cup (football) is a team sport. How on earth can Peter Kildemand be classed as a full time GP rider when he took part as a reserve replacing two different riders (Pedersen and Hancock) in different meetings. Reserves are exactly that, they are brought in to replace injured riders in a GP series. Kildemand just got lucky that there were so many injuries last season and he had plenty of GPs to race in. it would be good if the BSPA clearly stated this rule once and for all but it seems as it is the case. Kildemand has got in on an old average as he was not deemed to be an official GP rider in 2017. Its just a farce how Vaculik has got in on 8.00 and the rest are 9.00. the only reason I can think of for that is that he is completely new to british speedway whereas the rest (Zagar, Tai etc) arent. But I do agree, the rules need to be clearly stated.
  5. Taking advantage of a loophole is not doing anything wrong. I haven’t even bothered looking for the rule, I am merely going off what everyone else has stated Re: the reassessed averages. From browsing these threads over the winter and reading comments from people who have attended forums with their sides promotions etc, it seems that any rider who rode in the 2017 SGP series as a declared starter or is down to ride in the 2018 series as a declared starter will have their 2018 Premiership average reassessed to 9.00, if they missed the 2017 season in the Premiership. Hence Zagar, Woffy etc being re assessed to 9.00. I do not see how Vaculik has been given 8.00, that is extremely puzzling. I can see however how Iversen has retained his 9.06 figure as it was higher than the standard reassessed average being dished out. Thats happened a few times before where if your higher than the required average, you keep the higher average. I am sure SCB will step in and provide some examples
  6. I fail to see how Poole are doing anything wrong here in all honesty. IF this rule where a rider was absent for a season or more and was a 2017/2018 fully fledged, ie named in the 1-15 at the start of the gp season, gp rider, Poole have not broken any rules, theyve simply taken advantage of a clear loophole which is what makes Ford such a shrewd promoter. i dont argue against the fact that Ford has done a lot of damage and broken rules in the past, however this is not one of them. Kildemands signing is legit, hence the BSPA allowing it.
  7. Sidney seemed to think I was out in australia picking strawberrys for a living as he has said on more than one occasion on here over the last year or so... as always I am happy to prove him wrong. As for wanting to watch your teams on a regular basis, doesnt bother me in the slightest. I live in a city where there is top sports events on nearly a daily basis, missing speedway once a week doesnt bother me as it didnt for the three or four years I didnt bother with it before I left for Australia. Sidney is always the one who mentions me in australia, not me. Sad that he is a middle aged geezer who stacks shelves for a living yet has a pop at my life. Id chose my life over his every day of the week.
  8. Because he was a declared GP rider at the start of the series and Kildemand wasnt. Thats the rules
  9. Your right on that one but doesnt make my argument that Kildemand is legit wrong. And yes Nicki should be 9.00 as he is a declared Grand Prix rider. I do agree that the rules SHOULD make Kildemand 9.00 and that if you ride a certain amount of GPS as a wildcard or reserve you should be gp rider, however as it stands this is not the case therefore Kildemand is perfectly legal to start on his old average.
  10. He didnt “elevate” into the series full time, he was first reserve all season. Smolinski, Fricke and Jepsen Jensen all raced as series reserves in 2017 as well... should they be classed as 9.00 GP riders as well? kildemand only rode in 9 gps as he was first reserve, if Fricke had been first reserve and raced in 9 gps would there of been calls to make him a 9.00 rider for belle vue?! Of course there wouldnt. Like it or not, the rules state Peter Kildemand was a first reserve and not a full time member of the GP field. And no, had he became world champ my stance would be the same. He done it as a reserve although this would of meant a 2018 permanant wild card therefore being saddled with a 9.00 figure
  11. How does it prove different?! as I said, its like a number one crashing in heat 1 of a league meeting. The number 7 replaces him in the rest of his rides, does that mean the number 7 is no longer a reserve?! No it does not. peter kildemand started 2017 as first gp reserve and due to numerous injuries, stood in for 9 gps. As a reserve. He was not a declared SGP rider at any point during the season. nothing left to see here - a perfectly legit signing by Poole.
  12. Quite simple really, NKI and Pedersen were declared fully fledged gp riders at the start of 2017... Kildemand wasnt. He was a reserve. Its like calling a reserve in a 1-7 team a heatleader because he rides in heat 13 every meeting as an r/r or a reserve change!! peter kildemand at the start of 2017 was first reserve for the gp series therefore not a declared GP rider. Its as simple as that. And no, he doesnt become a fully fledged gp rider because of injuries, as had nicki, niels and whoever else was injured all came back, he would of been back out of the series. Sadly there were injuries and he raced AS A RESERVE for most of the series . He was never a fully fledged grand prix rider at any point in 2017. No matter how fair you think it is or isnt, its there for all to see. his signing for Poole is 100 percent legit. Accept it and move on ffs.
  13. 70 dont think so squire, my job pays well enough here my nailbag and hammer will be well and truly hung up by the time I am 50, enjoying a happy retirement on golden beaches with an ice cold lager. Watch you dont do your back in stacking too many boxes of cheap Lidls wine pal, make sure you bend your knees and keep your back straight when lifting old man
  14. How am I licking matt ford asshole? Stating it how it is. Your club could of chose Kildemand instead of Morris but didnt. Yet another post showing you up for what you are, a dunce whos mid fifties and still stacks shelves for a living. Australia is going great thanks, Working away on the 36th level of a skyscraper in 28 degrees sunshine. Off for a few beers in 90 minutes. Hows the night shift in Lidls going on 8 quid an hour?
  15. Kildemand for Holder is perfectly legit... Kildemand was named as a reserve so not a declared GP rider. Another shrewd piece of work by Ford, this is why he is the best promoter of the modern era. You’d be hoping Kildemand is a hit straight away as on form I would put him down as a huge improver and one of the leagues top dogs. Could well make Poole much stronger. Would they risk letting him go for Holder if he Kildemand is flying?
  16. Eating humble pie? I very much doubt that. that Newcastle side named is absolutely dreadful. Even if the final rider is unbeatable it still looks poor. Its been built with zero ambition. Plenty of entertainers yes, but full of journeymen. Can’t fault the riders signed its not their doing, its awful team building from a promotion and management who should know better. hope Wilko has a good year, one of the good guys in speedway and always a favorite of mine at Newport. Never a dull moment with Carl in a race thats for sure! But unless changes are made, this side will be rock bottom.
  17. The obvious answer to that is drop down a league? and to Steve Park, when you lose every single meeting, which looking at other line ups looks extremely likely, come back and call it a ridiculous comment. Tool.
  18. The paying public should not be expected to pay full price to see that side put out. Sorry but its atrocious. Its borderline Mildenhal 08(?) standard, even the Newport 2005 team with Vidal as number 1 on a 3.5 average
  19. That side is absolutely dreadful it must be said, anyone paying to watch that every week must need their heads read.
  20. Quick google search found these: http://mike-patrick.com/01/01Docs/0324.1.html
  21. They used Troy lee designs motocross style suits for a few years, definately. And they looked pretty good too .
  22. Most speedway riders are soft touches and knowing Kim, as much as a decent lad he is, he would probably be one of the biggest soft touches. Time for riders to put their foot down. F$$k being owed that much for a job so dangerous. Absolute farce, Lakeside Speedway should be ashamed of themselves.
  23. The Coventry ones, made by I think Troy Lee designs, actually looked pretty good.
  24. Absolute farce that riders get banned for refusing to ride if their not being paid. I would never ever stand for it, recently left my job and got a new one due to none of the lads on site being paid. Should be paid every week without fail and if its a week late, employer should add a percentage on as compensation for your late wage. Something that needs a huge look at
  25. Gollob was very good on big tracks however on the smaller ones he wasnt. Hence why id rate hancock, nicki, tai etc above him... they can ride any shaped tracks which makes them better riders
