Wolverhampton v Rye House 16/4/18
Pinny replied to hammer1969's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I would say it was done for both, or did Iversen, Vaculik, Sundstrom etc come back because of the lack of fixture clashes with the Championship? If Lynn can afford Iversen, Somerset affoed Doyle... I see no reason why Wolves couldnt afford Lindgren? -

And also a number one whos not even top of his sides averages in the second division. however, I do agree the top flight is stronger but the gap seems to be getting narrower all the time. Can you imagine Loram and Louis riding in the PL when riding as EL number ones?! the EL has gone on the decline for a while, the promoters are pathetic and have to be blamed. They bring in set race nights to entice the big stars back yet saddle them all with pathetic averages and bring in a one over 8 rule. Jokers -
Belle Vue V Poole SGB Prem. A. 16th April 2018
Pinny replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I feel to see how Tungate riding poor as he usually does in the EL along with Gapp for Etheridge is advantage to Poole? ok Worrall was missing but the rider in his place scored Worralls 2017 average... ok he started really well this season but nobody knows if it would of lasted more than a few meetings a lot of riders start like a house on fire and fade pretty quick, Mads Korneliussen a classic example. Tungate is part of belle vues original line up and is riding poor, whilst not many with sense could argue against Gappmeier being a better rider tham Etheridge! -
Auty more natural ability than Doyle?! Lol!

He would of been given a set amount of time to find a new sponsor after Lynn notified immigration he no longer “worked” for them. As I said , in Australia its 88 days. So if this is the case in the UK, after his sacking he would still of been able to ride abroad and return to the UK for the rest of the season. Sure I read that he had stayed on in Australia after the GP here. All very confusing, but I have my doubts that it is visa related. Also, doesnt he own a house and have a kid in the UK? Which surely would make him a permanant resident or citizen?
-
If the visa situation is the same as for us Brits in Aussie, if Holders visa became void after his sacking this would of meant him staying illegially in the country which is, when caught, an instant ban. There is no way he would of got back into the country once leaving if this was the case. In Australia, I have an Irish mate who was working in my trade and sponsored by the company (the same as Holder by Lynn). he got sacked for numerous no shows on a Monday, and had 88 days to find a new employer to take on his sponsor visa. He found other work, cash in hand, worked for 6 months and then decided to go back to Ireland. As he had overstayed the 88 days granted, as soon as he checked into Melbourne airport, he was pulled in and given a three year ban from Australia and was told that even after 3 years, he would need a damn good case to be even considered to be let back in. in a nutshell, unless the UK is massively different to Aussie border force, Holder didnt overstay any visa unlawfully in 2017.

You talk absolute f@cking nonsense. Did before your brain surgery and you definately do now. what an embarrasement you are to your club

What and saddle the likes of Smolinski and Jepsen Jensen with 9.00 figures?! Because thats fair isnt it. Should be absolutely no such ruling. Any Gp rider with an old average should be allowed to return on that figure and any newcomer, ie Vaculik, should be given a fair assessed figure. The likes of Tai and Zagar should of been allowed back in on their old figures. Its absolutely pathetic how they aren’t.

The uncertainty is whether the reassessment of GP riders is true or not. I am 100 percent certain that Peter Kildemand is not classed as a GP rider from 2017 or 2018. He rode as a reserve in the 2017 series, whether he took part in 1 or 10 Grand Prixs. Rightly or wrongly, despite how many he raced in, he was never a full time rider. The debate is whether this ruling regarding grand prix riders being reassessed to 9.00 after a year out is true or not.
-
You started saying about a footballer coming on as a sub 20 mins into the fa cup. You compared that with Kildemand coming in as a reserve in the grand prix series. fa cup football = team event . Speedway grand prix = individual event. Clown
-
The GPs arent which is what your comparing the scenario to.
-
Not the same. Fa cup (football) is a team sport. How on earth can Peter Kildemand be classed as a full time GP rider when he took part as a reserve replacing two different riders (Pedersen and Hancock) in different meetings. Reserves are exactly that, they are brought in to replace injured riders in a GP series. Kildemand just got lucky that there were so many injuries last season and he had plenty of GPs to race in. it would be good if the BSPA clearly stated this rule once and for all but it seems as it is the case. Kildemand has got in on an old average as he was not deemed to be an official GP rider in 2017. Its just a farce how Vaculik has got in on 8.00 and the rest are 9.00. the only reason I can think of for that is that he is completely new to british speedway whereas the rest (Zagar, Tai etc) arent. But I do agree, the rules need to be clearly stated.
-
Taking advantage of a loophole is not doing anything wrong. I haven’t even bothered looking for the rule, I am merely going off what everyone else has stated Re: the reassessed averages. From browsing these threads over the winter and reading comments from people who have attended forums with their sides promotions etc, it seems that any rider who rode in the 2017 SGP series as a declared starter or is down to ride in the 2018 series as a declared starter will have their 2018 Premiership average reassessed to 9.00, if they missed the 2017 season in the Premiership. Hence Zagar, Woffy etc being re assessed to 9.00. I do not see how Vaculik has been given 8.00, that is extremely puzzling. I can see however how Iversen has retained his 9.06 figure as it was higher than the standard reassessed average being dished out. Thats happened a few times before where if your higher than the required average, you keep the higher average. I am sure SCB will step in and provide some examples

I fail to see how Poole are doing anything wrong here in all honesty. IF this rule where a rider was absent for a season or more and was a 2017/2018 fully fledged, ie named in the 1-15 at the start of the gp season, gp rider, Poole have not broken any rules, theyve simply taken advantage of a clear loophole which is what makes Ford such a shrewd promoter. i dont argue against the fact that Ford has done a lot of damage and broken rules in the past, however this is not one of them. Kildemands signing is legit, hence the BSPA allowing it.

Sidney seemed to think I was out in australia picking strawberrys for a living as he has said on more than one occasion on here over the last year or so... as always I am happy to prove him wrong. As for wanting to watch your teams on a regular basis, doesnt bother me in the slightest. I live in a city where there is top sports events on nearly a daily basis, missing speedway once a week doesnt bother me as it didnt for the three or four years I didnt bother with it before I left for Australia. Sidney is always the one who mentions me in australia, not me. Sad that he is a middle aged geezer who stacks shelves for a living yet has a pop at my life. Id chose my life over his every day of the week.
-
Because he was a declared GP rider at the start of the series and Kildemand wasnt. Thats the rules
-
Your right on that one but doesnt make my argument that Kildemand is legit wrong. And yes Nicki should be 9.00 as he is a declared Grand Prix rider. I do agree that the rules SHOULD make Kildemand 9.00 and that if you ride a certain amount of GPS as a wildcard or reserve you should be gp rider, however as it stands this is not the case therefore Kildemand is perfectly legal to start on his old average.
