The continuing decline of Speedway

Maybe we just need to admit speedways a thing of the past ? -
Peterborough v Ipswich Sunday 5th August

When there was a bit of dirt on the outside at Newport, watching Howe in full flow is up there with the best. i remember him suffering a nasty injury at Lakeside, someone fell in front of him. He came off and smashed his arm to bits. Made a brief comeback a couple of years later but was never the same rider. -

As did Ronni. Howe retired through injury , he was one of the most exciting riders I have seen around Newport when he was in the mood. -
Except Somersets a club thats progressed nicely and is well established with a great racing track and expierienced promotion and management

So your quite happy with your piss poor start to the season? Andersen has been rubbish in Sweden for few years.... i find it no coincidence that he and Nicholls form for Leicester has dropped alarmingly knowing they wont make the play offs. Nice attactive averages for 2019. just admit... Andersen out for Sundstrom was a mistake ffs.

Pedersen had a bit of his own medicine then. twice as nuts as his brother Nicki, with not even a tenth as much talent. -
Huge waste of talent. With the right commitment and attitude, he could of gone very far.
-
Theres no doubt Andersen in that team would of made a huge difference instead of Sundstrom who was shocking for most of his spell, I certainly got that wrong. Andersen has averaged over 8, how Poole could of done with that from the start.
-
Andersen probably protecting his average for next season!!

Sad to see Rene Bach riding as a reserve, it doesnt seem to long ago that he, along with Larsen, looked like being the next big Dane. He was sensational back in 2009/2010 and a 9 point rider in a stronger league. seems to of never recovered properly from that horrendous smash he had. -
A no brainer. Riss is making big strides and will be a good addition to the top flight. Garrity very spectacular and exciting, but far too out of control to make it much further than he has. Remember seeing him in the Conference League at Newport and he obviously had talent but was out of control a lot.

Poole v Kings Lynn. Prem B. 1st August 2018
Pinny replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Gavans gone back into mute mode, wonder why?? You must be honest.... the Poole threads are a lot better without him on them. Plenty of banter and a bit of mud slinging but not his usual garbage which is good to see. Maybe the mods could look at banning him from the Premiership section only, leaving him free to post in the Ipswich topics? -
Poole should be docked points and fined
Pinny replied to ReadingRacer2017's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Poole are going to get fined for a bit of oil on their track, a lot of clubs could get fined in future due to the absolute sh1te they put on their tracks most weeks! -
The figures banded about for attendances at Lakeside this season are alarming to say the least for a side near the top of the table.

Your managers been able to do nothing but scratch his head when thinking of team changes, more like. Poole have done very well with their changes, Jakobsen looks a real find, Klindt always a high scoring reserve and Harris was a bit of a gamble as he had been woeful this season but has come good for Poole. Of course Poole may still choke, like they have this season many times. I still cant quite work out how that starting line up performed so poorly. Brady Kurtz must be classed as a huge let down this season. Him and Morris have certainly struggled with the pressure of being number ones. -

Thats another one of your problems... you like to big yourself up when you get something right but are usually nowhere to be seen when your wrong with something?? lets be honest, even the people who enjoy winding Poole fans think your a bit odd... I cant be bothered to go looking at previous posts and quotes but sure someone will. Ipswich have lost 4 out of 8 home meetings this season, and two or three of them were with a full side. They have been rubbish yet we dont see you on their threads complaining. You clearly have an obsession with Poole stronger than Fred the Flanges with Steve brum... it isnt healthy. Its odd. -
Kings Lynn Vs Somerset: TV meeting : Mon 30-07-2018
Pinny replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hes a regular for Edinburgh, so at least he is being honest about not wanting top flight speedway. Id say if Iversen was on his game this season, Lynn would be one of the favs for the title. Having a 9+ number one averaging about 7 certainly isnt ideal. Maybe he is just getting on now and had one knock too many . -

In all honesty, I would find it hard to not want to see Poole win the league. They were absolutely ridiculed at the start of the season with some poor results, trolled to high heaven by the usual suspects mainly Gavan and yet theyve made a few changes and now look like favourites to me. One thing I really dont understand, is how a fully grown adult in Gavan, can spend so much time on a thread that isnt even in the same league section as his club. Ipswich have been, all in all, rubbish this season so surely your expert opinion should be aired on their threads and not Poole ones? Poole fans are no angels but the majority of their threads turn to rubbish because of the trolls like Gavan coming on and spouting nonsense. -
Poole Pirates Vs Leicester Lions 25/7/18
Pinny replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole to win the league now, as long as Harris maintains similar form. Two excellent reserves and a top 5 where anyone can pop out and win big races. Some people could be made to look very silly come the end of the play offs! -

Gutted i didnt make it back for this but hoping to make next years one. Woffy set for world title number 3, must admit i am not a huge fan and used to borderline despise him but he is maturing, he is a class act on a bike and he is trying to raise the profile of the sport in the UK. since he has come back to Team GB Look at the differences - its a shame the bspa wont budge and let him try and introduce some of his plans to uk league speedway. This event proves the fanbase is still there in the uk year on year, just a pity the majority of promoters couldnt organise a lash up in a brewery. -
