Poole v Ipswich Play Off Semi 1st leg. 23/9/19
Pinny replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They are under dogs. Swindon are in better form than them at the moment and Wolves just turned them over at their place as well. The bookies have them down as third favourites to win it. -
It’s about time someone put Lisa collette down. Painful reading her posts.
-
Say what you like about Scott Smith but he featured in your league winning sides of 1999 and 2002. granted the bonus point was a big factor then, but hammering everyone and anyone at home back in the day and getting the odd away win back in the day would win you the league.

Peterborough V Swindon Monday 9/9/19
Pinny replied to maneacat's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looks like a superb play offs in store ... Wolves and Swindon bang in form and never write off Poole either who could still top the league . Time for Nicholls to call it a day in the top flight and have a farewell season at lower level. As great a servant he has been over the years. -

He goes telling someone to play with traffic, i.e kill themselves , but it’s harsh to say something back? Lol. -

I’m just stunned it took doctors so long to realise there was something seriously wrong with a Starmans brain to be honest. -

GP Challenge Final (Gorican) - 24/08/19
Pinny replied to JCookie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Makes you laugh, Iversen just 4 points off top 4 and Zagar 6 with a few rounds to go. Yet people whinge they shouldnt be in there . And also , both in the final tonight. Comical. -
THJ over 14 GPs averaged just over 5 points a GP. Been much worse in the GPs over the last 20 or so years. Always been overated in the UK due to people thinking his overseas form would translate to the UK.
-
Its a daft argument anyway as Jonasson is in a rapid decline . But since Lindback and Lindgren, he has been the best rider Sweden have produced taking into account his Swedish and Polish top flight scores.
-
I thought the argument was since Lindback and Lindgren, who came on the scene around 2002, Sweden hadnt produced a better rider? THJ was a heavy scorer in Poland as well.
-
Havent looked but he was a regular high scorer in the top leagues in Poland and Sweden .
-
THJ in his peak performed a lot better than anything Berntzon or Nilsson etc has managed in Poland and Sweden. even if you look at his GP results from 2015 - he may not of made a semi final but had plenty of 6 and 7’s which isnt too bad, and beat plenty of top riders along the way. so what Col is saying is right - since Lindgren and Lindback , THJ is the best that Sweden have produced.
-
Jonasson was superb back in the day on the continent and always felt he couldn’t be arsed in the UK. I remember him having a number of good GP performances tho?!

GP Challenge Final (Gorican) - 24/08/19
Pinny replied to JCookie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
People want fresh faces yet after a GP of him scoring nothing everyone would be saying hes out of his depth blah blah blah ... dont agree with Gavan much if at all but he is actually right here ... whilst well passed their best , Zagar and Iversen are probably in the top 15 in the world still , will still win races and make semi finals and even the odd final , and theyve qualified by right. Iversen and Zagar got in ahead of a guy currently sat 4th in the standings , so they can still mix it. From where I can see, next year their wont be a Harris who trails in way way adrift in the standings. Unless of course Harris gets a wild card , which obviously he wont. -

People should be thankful Pontus Aspgren didnt qualify! -
Im sorry but Morley has been around for ages with Rye , Arena and Eastie and hasnt done anything . Espiecially in the main body of the team. Hume , Stoneman and Mountain are all younger and have some potential. Morley no. If i was a promoter i certainly wouldnt touch him. Been many around like him before , good in the 3rd tier rubbish in the second. Barrie Evans , Martin Williams are two i remember at Newport, Chris Courage is another , Karl Mason ..... good in the conference but rubbish when stepping up.
-
Leads you to believe? Its a fact. And no, i am not a Poole supporter whatsoever . I just like to pass comment when people seem to slag off Poole for no reason , doesnt mean I support them. I dont think i could ever support a club that has Lisa Collette and Starman as fans to be honest .
-
He is absolute garbage at this level though and has had many chances . Why not try Thomsen? Having a higher average than the other two means absolutely sod all. Barrie Evans used to be superb in the NL and then rubbish in the Championship , much like Morley.
-
Hume and Stoneman yes , Morley certainly not .
-
Being called a fool by you is almost as funny as when Starman called someone else stupid . You have far more important things to be doing thats right, such as posting on Poole threads every other hour Or asking webcam girls for photos ?
