Ellis is certainly an improvement on Auty but he wont be a big hitting number one like Masters, Cook or even Pedersen as he is too inconsistent .

Probably very little at the moment, is injury prone to say the least and his form has gone. -

Peterborough certainly the in form side at the moment, I still cannot see how they were tipped for the wooden spoon this season when you look at some of the dross being served up elsewhere. And they will always have a strong reserve - passed their best they maybe but any of Harris, Nicholls or Andersen at reserve will be potent to say the least. Lynn look a right sorry mess and it is a shame to see them so poor when you look back ten years or so at how formidable they were in the old Premier League. -

At least the corks on my hat arent as big as the penis growing off your forehead. I see you have overtaken Starman as the forums resident pillock, probably even worse. -
We will have to agree to disagree, the content maybe decent enough on some of those sites mentioned but the general design and layout in particular is awful. Have you tried accessing any of those sites on a smart phone?

What about the dross served up weekly at Kirky Lane? Not all clubs are lucky enough to be bailed out by the local council sadly , so you do have a short memory. From what I am told, crowds even at full capacity are hardly holding up enough to keep Belle Vue in action long term either. -
In all honesty, most club websites are awful these days. Websites appear to be going out of fashion and social media is the in thing - but a huge percentage of fans wont read social media and move on with the times. How often do we see people post “can someone tell us what was said as I refuse to use social media” etc.

Glasgow v Eastbourne Friday 26 June 2021 @ 7.30pm
Pinny replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Kennett has been pathetic for Eastbourne this year and will probably cost them big time unless he gets going soon. -
Your correct, I also done construction in Darwin to get passed off on it. But 95 percent of people do it on a farm. I tried it for a couple of days when I first arrived , not for me !!! i think they recently changed it to three years from two but you had to do regional work in the first and second years to get the third.
-
As well as you can do three years here now without having to spend a day on a farm doing regional work, where as before you got granted a one year working holiday visa and could gain a second year if you had spent 88 days or more doing regional work in your first year.
-
Has always been the case that you can get any visa to Aus with a minor criminal record .
-
It will come into affect when things get back to normal, I would hope.
-
Believe its just for working holiday visas .

Not very often I agree with Gavan, but I can't understand how people have been writing Peterborough off. Bjarne Pedersen is well, well passed his prime but his gating alone in such a weak league will see him score points. All of their top 5 on their day are as good as any rider in the current league. Add to that Ostergaard on board decent equipment, and their a match for anybody. I certainly cannot see them in the bottom two unless injuries come into play. Take out Bewley, and I would probably take Andersen over any other rider in the league.

Have said it before but will say it again, it was an utterly bonkers decision to even attempt to run the season this season and this was always going to happen. Clubs going on hold, promoters begging for donations to stay afloat , riders not being able to travel freely etc. In a sport that , even before a hint of this pandemic, was on its arse with nearly all promoters struggling, what hope did it have with reduced fans? It was a crazy decision to attempt to get the season going and I cannot believe those in charge actually let it happen. I want everything to get back to normal, everyone in the world has in someway been affected by this pathetic virus and I am one of those who feel that we should just continue to get as many people vaccinated and forget about the virus and get everything back to normal . I am in Australia and cant even get a flight back home to see family without being stuck there until Australia reopens its borders and dread to imagine how many others are in the same boat. So seeing stupid decisions like restarting speedway only for clubs to start whinging about money less than a month in really is a joke.

NKI has been one of my favourite riders since Newport signed him in 2003 and he was an instant success - have followed his form ever since and was brilliant to see him make the top 3 of the world and also dominate the major leagues for a season or two . But he has had absolutely no luck the past couple of seasons and is picking up injury after injury now. He really needs to retire and get out in one piece. He is getting on a bit now as well.

Really? -
Keyboard warriors? Hate speedway? Get a grip. I would say anything I post on here to someones face and if they want my full name I would happily give it out. its caused realism - many said this season was a waste of time starting and will cause more damage to the sport. It was a complete waste of time launching this season and the worst chaos is yet to come.

Poole v Berwick 9th June 2021. Championship
Pinny replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Andersen would clean up at championship level, he will clean up even in the premiership imo. Would much prefer Andersen over Scheiln. -
No sympathy I am afraid - it was a daft idea to launch the season without being able to have maximum capacity and they wont be the first to stop. Its an absolute farce. Should of forgot about 2021 and planned ahead for 2022 - looks like Somerset made the right call.
-
Said the same when he first signed for Glasgow - on board good bikes he will be a prolific scorer in both leagues.
