  1. Poole over the years have offered riders way more than anyone else to get them so its a bit of karma seeing one of their riders head elsewhere for more money! Reading some of their fans meltdowns on here has been quality.
  2. Complin a huge risk in my opinion. Always enjoyed watching him ride and he nearly joined Newport in 2009 when the Malletts first took over but we went with Lemon instead. But he was only ever a 7 pointer in his peak and after 10 years away, getting anywhere remotely near that is going to be a huge ask to say the least. He had a 4/5 year retirement before but was a lot younger back then, being absent from his mid twenties to mid thirties and being expected to come back and score decent points seems unrealistic. That said, he was superb to watch and pure entertainment and I absolutely hope he can come back and do well. The whole make up of the Newcastle team IMO looks iffy. Is Wilson Dean really an 8 point number 1? Will the other Kiwi manage anything above 2.5/3.00?
  3. Kemp is probably one of the most over rated British riders for a long time.
  4. I just remember in 2002 and 2003 his league form was blistering until he had his big serious crash which completely ruined his career and turned him from a world star with a big likelihood of winning a world title into an average 6 point league rider. edit - i stand corrected. His 2002 league form dipped on his 2001 form but he went to Poole and averaged nearly 9.00 in 2003 , baring in mind that was when all the top riders raced in the uk too. He was also joint top of the gps until his nasty crash i think.
  5. Remember that crash however think your wrong to say Dryml was never the same rider again - in 2002 and 2003 he was absolutely flying.
  6. Bridger would of been one rider i would of despised riding for Newport. Wouldnt of ever gone to watch him.
  7. Bombers always on a guarantee, like most of the current top UK riders. good signing for Berwick
  8. Class to see Bjarne Pedersen bow out with another EL title, watched him so much over the years and far from a gating tart. Class rider. well done Pboro and happy retirement Bjarne
  9. Cheerio dont let the door hit you on the way out will ya.
  10. Yeah really thick , its held me back massively in life. Another case of daddy ellis not being able to take some stick about his son , would you like a tissue? A Brit missing a British play off meeting to ride in France is a piss take like it or not and is the reason fans continue to stop going. Since when has riding in France been a priority? seems your boy hasnt gained many new fans at Scunny with him missing vital matches, riding borrowed machinery etc … as said the worst British champ I can remember in my 20 plus years of following the sport.
  11. Another piss take , this time from possibly Britains worst ever national champion. Lob the book at him and give him a 10 meeting ban.
  12. I personally think its shocking how Scunthorpe have announced all this about Allen whilst he is still competing in the play offs for Redcar. Just sums up what a terrible chairman Godfrey really is.
  13. What an absolute farce! Surely this completely defeats the object of a full league season?! When you thought the sport in the UK could sink no lower.
  14. Just seen Harris ride against worrall and kemp on bspa website , absolute class why doesnt he ride this well all season?
  15. Harris always seems to come alive at this time of the season… strange.
  16. Superb stuff , as said before when on song that track as well as Pboro offers just as good racing as you see in Poland. excited for the SON now shame russia are missing
  17. Riss has been pathetic this season , surely Lynn wont want him back? I can however seen Edinburgh snapping him up in the second div on his low average.
  18. Pedersen at reserve isnt too good if hes got the Summers syndrome in his last few meetings, all depends. I would rather Andersen at reserve Tbh
  19. In fairness at Edin I thought he was set for big big things, hes done well since leaving though until this season. Wonder if he will return next year? You do have a knack of getting riders in awful form going well, S Worrall and Sedgmen being two of them.
  20. How is hoping someone gives you a slap threatening you? Your nearly as thick as the people you target on here every week.
  21. Peterborough got laughed at tho and apparently built on a budget, I always thought it looked a good side from day 1. Too much experience not to be. Granted they wont win the league but will go to the final I reckon.
  22. In all honesty I think Crump may of faired a bit better this year without the injuries. He wasnt going bad until he crashed out at Wolves (?). could be a bargain average next year but I would agree, it would be good to see him bow out in one piece.
