Poole v Glasgow 23/8/23 Championship
Pinny replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Id still see your effing nonsense in quotes so its pointless blocking you. Id hardly travel to the otherside of the world just to visit a pub you work in , would be the last place id go. F**k drinking in a pub where lunatics like yourself serve pints. -
Poole v Glasgow 23/8/23 Championship
Pinny replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That annoying woman from poole really has turned the championship section into a cringeworthy place. Youd think being a busy, stay at home , single mummy shed not find time to spend what must be 12 hours a day on this forum ? shes the worst one of the lot imo. At least can have a laugh with Shovlar although the fact he is still tweeting SCB on twitter is alarming to say the least. -
British Final 2023
Pinny replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Doesn't Lawson not get on with Richie Worrall cos Worrall was having a go on Lawsons mrs or something like that when they were both at Glasgow? Good to see Steve Worrall get a wild card, feel like its injuries that have held him back some what . Am no fan of Ellis or his old man but those comments from Hawk are disgusting. -
Youve got Rory Scheiln in your side, do you really expect anything other than a super slick track?! Come on now.

Agree regarding referees having some form of track knowledge . As it stands, they are far too influenced by certain riders and bow down to them. Especially riders who are well passed their sell by date and hanging round for a few final paydays. -
Cant argue with that. one league with a new 5 rider format maybe the way to go .

I disagree. Doubling up started off around 20 years ago when Elite League clubs could use two Premier League riders to share one position. Premier League riders never missed any meetings for their PL club, unless of course they were injured or riding overseas. They then brought in doubling down where two EL riders could share a position in a PL club and its just turned farcical ever since. Ever since those days, the crowd has dropped off alarmingly at most tracks if they are still operating. Look back to 2002/3 ish times on the forum on the archives and see if there is anywhere near as much bitching and moaning about riders being missing as there are now. If a rider missed a meeting back then it was the talk of the month on the forum, now its happening everywhere every week. It is sad to say but the sport in the UK is dying on its knees. Incompetent people running the sport, spineless promoters who refuse to bring their club into the 21st century, riders taking the complete p155. We say it every season but the sport needs a complete revamp in the UK. And also, referring to another poster, the standard of top flight speedway had fallen off a cliff long before the Sky payments ended.

Pathetic scenario. Plymouth should be operating in the third tier, their not a second tier club. If that is true about starting track prep an hour before the start, they should hang their heads in shame. Refunds should be immediately given out on exiting the stadium. Farce of a sport these days sadly, with clubs like this playing a big part in that. -
I was not a huge fan of Tim Stone by any means but looking back now , it was tragic how he ended up and what he was doing to keep the club alive and it would probably still be about today if he was still alive, albeit probably in the bottom tier with small crowds. He was his own worst enemy though and had the world at his feet in the late 90s with probably the biggest crowds in British Speedway at a time when the top league had the best riders in the world week in week out. By the end, he was fielding sub standard teams each season and the crowds were down to a couple of hundred. One thing that cannot be argued is he put his life and soul into the club.

May sound harsh but I never considered Lynn as one of the UKs best race tracks in nearly 25 years following the sport. Always was well prepared though and they usually had a very competitive team, in the EL and then PL when they dropped down. So its quite sad to see them how they are now. Peterborough on the other hand has been one of the Uks best tracks for years . out of interest, who was the money man at Lynn when they had Adams and Rickardsson there? Or Crump and Nicki P?

What does Tai Woffinden mean?
Pinny replied to Hamish McRaker's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Prob happy hes riding a proper sized track and not Wolves everyweek. so much for not riding for anyone apart from Wolves in the Uk, all we need now is Lindgren to Lynn . -
Hes gone on a couple of seasons too many IMO. Last 5 years has had some horrible injuries. Not good to see him posting such poor scores. Hopefully calls it a day after this season.

Im sure i remember years ago when Smart and Lobb got caught, Smart held his hands up and admitted it and Lobb refused a second test for a while therefore got a longer ban?

Vissing is getting a fair bit of stick, he signed on a 5 and on the whole this season his scores have been really good have they not? -

Ellis as predicted garbage. Stead picking his Sheffield mate clearly. -
Glasgow (28) vs (62) PIRATES BSN Final 2nd leg 21st July
Pinny replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Anyone would think Shovlar is a Brad Pitt lookalike going on his posts on this thread. Not a 60 odd year old troll who spends time tweeting with a convicted paedophile who used to be on this forum!!! -
Riss is plenty good enough for the top flight , im sure i read somewhere tho he suffered a very nasty injury and is just riding through it? if so extremely dangerous and should be taking time out to recover properly , his scores in both leagues have been very poor to say the least since his comeback and hes clearly nowhere near fit.

Birmingham v Poole Championship. 19/7/23
Pinny replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Even in the late nineties I remember coming to Swindon with at least 500 newport fans and the crowd was huge and plenty of Swindon fans, unlike Reading the same year where the Newport fans would double the crowd. mad that all three clubs are gone. -
Oxford vs Glasgow - Champ - 19/7
Pinny replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Have to fancy a Oxford Poole final surely? -
Im no certain on this but i remember Danny Bird having a pretty good job outside of speedway?
-
Boxall was a superb talent and a shame he never took things seriously and went on to bigger things. Always enjoyed watching him at Newport and various away meetings. Although to be fair, I can't ever see him riding full time for a Premier or Championship side again. Would be good to see it happen though.
-
Correct. Im not the one conning the paying public though, am I?
-
Another buffoon at Lynn trying to take the p**s out of the paying public. Barring a guest and a second in heat 2, their riders didn't beat one opponent between them. Instead of coming out with such garbage, tell it how it is. Tell the fans that the performance was absolutely pathetic and there are no excuses.

What an absolute disgrace Kings Lynn and Buster Chapman are. Laguta listed as injured on the weekend and a guest swiftly sorted out then he goes and rides on Sunday in Poland? Pathetic. The sport is in a dire mess and Chapman being allowed to behave how he is, fielding under strength teams week in week out at both of his clubs, is disgusting. The quicker he f***s off out the sport, the better. I think it is time that the sport had a major shake up and reformatting. Its in a dire , dire state with complete w**kers in power. Phil Morris never took any nonsense in his riding days so hopefully he has a similar attitude towards British Speedway.
