  1. Seen him at Newport last weekend, still furious he is banned from this forum, OOOHHHHH WE HAVE DRAMA KELV
  2. Probably to stop people signing up with fake accounts using a fake hotmail account they have made up, which takes seconds. Dont know what put that in my head
  3. Aspegren superb tonight. The way he rode those 1st and 2nd bends was amazing. Hope he can ride that well weekly. A silly fall in heat 15 when miles clear of Howe cost him a 12+2 (3 1' 3 3 2') score.
  4. Well the first one I heard was that Mickey Mouse wears an NWS wristwatch
  5. Saying Iversen deserved to win is an insult to Ryan Fisher who rode hard all meeting. Why dont you just accept you wanted Iversen to win without insisting he deserved to?
  6. Its comments like that which make me respond to you the way I do. I sometimes wonder if you actually know what speedway is.
  7. You bring it all on yourself. If NKI had a 15 point maximum and retired whilst leading the final you could say he deserved to win. But he dropped points in the qualifying heats and was passed in the final after making the gate. No matter how much you would of liked him to win, it doesnt mean he deserved to win. Still unsure about next weeks meeting. Would of loved it to be a challenge against Plymouth but not happening.
  8. You said Iversen deserved to win, how do you work that one out? Wanting someone to win and someone deserving to win are two totally different things.
  9. Aspegrens bikes just seemed flat to me. I was told that he was riding a different bike to what he rode on P&P day when he looked twice as fast although why change set ups? Fisher went around Iversen because I dont think Iversen knew how close he was, you could tell it was one of those rides where Iversen got caught napping. He was right up Fishers behind for the next three laps almost going back past him.
  10. My first night at the track under the floodlights and what a difference. The track actually looks a proper speedway circuit now. Not passing galore but better than your average meeting. Fisher was superb in the final after missing the start though I do feel Iversen fell asleep when he went around him. Iversen was all over him for the rest of the race just couldn't get back passed. Lanham was in the mix for a few laps as well. Lanham was the best Wasp on the night. I was expecting good things from Aspegren but he was woeful tonight. Definate bike problems I think he just looked terribly slow. As I was leaving he was going out for a practice. Nilsson started and finished superbly just had two poor rights in between! He was all over Iversen in their race. Jones silenced his critics with a solid 6 points. He went around Davies and Aspegren in one move and in another race he held off NKI superbly, every bend he knew where Iversen was going. Definately more to come. Legault looked average, nothinf flash but didn't struggle. Our two reserves looked tidy, Kurtz in one race passing Legault and just missing out on Screen. A decent enough crowd of around 900 and a meeting that didnt drag on forever and ever like in previous years. Track was not watered once despite a warm day and no dust at all. I would never ever run an afternoon meeting at Newport Speedway again if I was promoter. So a good night, good meeting and a Newport finalist.
  11. Can provide updates for this meeting and most wasps home meetings via my blackberry. Give me a private message if required.
  12. No but we have received emails asking for admission prices and asking why they are not on the site etc when they are. Now the training schools and winter series meetings appear to be over (before they have even started due to the weather!) I may put an admission price section on the right hand side of the site, just to keep people happy . I am 99.99% sure that normal admission prices apply for this meeting but will double check. The line up is good and IMO is better than the 2009 Prince of Wales trophy line up. I think Niels will win it but I thought that with the 2010 NYC and he didnt even make the final, although the track was a bit hit and miss that day. I understand the week after this meeting will be a 2011 Wasps Vs Rest of the World select meeting. At least we have had two challenges before heading into our first league fixture at home to Somerset on the 2nd April.
  13. Hardly any club sites feature admission prices on their main page. I will include it in the Preview which is being added tomorrow. Its about time people done some searching before claiming "we cant be bothered to include it on our site".
  14. Have you actually looked on the site properly. Try the Club Info page, its been on there for over a month.
  15. He basically means people are attending this meeting because the rider quality is high, not because it is for the Ben Fund. The meeting is a great idea. But if a Ben Fund meeting was held in, say, July, with NL and lower PL riders filling the field, I would be stunned if even half the amount of fans turned out to watch the meeting. The meeting is well supported because it is the opening of the new season with a top class field.
  16. Wont be anything spilt over it ever again Baz sadly... I will say no more!
  17. It wasnt my fault you kept flooding me with beer last year...
  18. I don't think this is the case. Most people go because its early speedway and a good line up. As said, if this was a lineup full of NL riders, do you think the crowd would be in its 1000's? It wouldnt. Alright there are some out there who will go because of its cause but much, much more people go because its 1 of the first meetings and its a good lineup.
  19. Like many, many riders contracts who are purchased each year throughout the country.
