  1. If bager is riding then Doyle, Sedgmen and Gjedde should be able to. All 3 signed for Newport way before Bager and have ridden in more meetings for us.
  2. I have no problem with us not being in if the fact that Doyle, Gjedde and Sedgmen didnt ride enough meetings at the cut off date. What I do have a problem with is how Leicester will track a team of Karlsson, Bager, Nieminen and Bondarenko despite three of them signing well under a month ago. Theres no way Leicester as hosts will field a team of Bondarenko, graversen, Oliver and Wright. That is what my argument is, if Leicester do field their bottom 4 riders then fair enough but we all know that wont happen. The sport is a farce.
  3. No I'm not having a laugh. You need to be a superb rider to win a world title. Gollob is and has, and is one of the top 3 most popular sportsmen in poland which says it all. Gollob is a bellend and a legend at the same time. But after crump, nicki and trick, he's been the best in the world over the past 15 years or so.
  4. Any rider who is crowned world champ, whether its one or 6 titles, will go down as a true great. Fwiw, I despise of gollob, his attitude smells worse than a tramps armpit. But he has been true entertainment, infact in the 13 years I've been a fan of speedway, along with trick and andreas jonsson, he's been one of the most entertaining riders I've witnessed on track.
  5. I've always wanted to go to The rest of the world on holiday!!! What a pathetic suggestion, my suggestion is stick to golf
  6. And Middlo has no input on Pooles side? he just sits all winter and waits for Ford to ring him with the line up? I dont think so. Middleditch is a fine team manager and his record speaks for itself. peter oakes has been at many clubs. Peterborough, Belle Vue, Coventry are three I know of and there probably is more. Wasnt he Swindons TM? I think the only person who could match Middlo is Rosco. May not of won a title with Swindon but its no conincidence his first year away, he wins the league with Coventry. Rosco is one of, if not the most passionate TM I have seen, and I think he would do a good job for Team GB. As for Middlo not hearing of Andersson, well who knows. Most spotted his talent a couple of years ago. He didnt just appear from nowhere, I remember Iris123 posting he was one to watch some time ago and his scores have only gone one way since. Every EL team manager would of had him on their radar. Middlo is a good TM and is passionate about the sport. He is no way the reason why Team GB are so pants, the reason behind that is the BSPA. Absoloutely no interest in developing young talent from a young age and the result is the total tripe we witnessed tonight. You can't fault the riders for riding for the team, any riders dream would be to represent their country but there should be more talented riders on offer for Middlo to select. Then again, I still think a team of Richardson, Harris, Nicholls, Woffinden and Kennett would possibly of gone through tonight. They are the best 5 Brits. But when you look at Poland, riders like Ulamek, Balinski, Holta etc weren't even in Polands team yet would all score more than most of our side. Poland as a nation are streets ahead of GB. Denmarks team is superb as well and despite not having top liners left out (although Andersen probably is WC material), they have superb youngsters like Jepsen Jensen, Mikkel B Jensen, Mikkelsen, Madsen, Klindt, Bjerre junior who in 5 years or so will be super stars. Sweden also have a bright future with the likes of Andersson, Sundstrom, Lindgren junior, Nilsson, Gustaffson etc who will be big stars in the future. Who do Britain have? At the same age your looking at the likes of Garrity, Howarth, A. Morris etc who are fine young riders but not in the same league. I suppose you can never say never though, Harris was appauling when he first started out in PL racing, I remember him only ever being able to ride Exeter and he came from nowhere to become our best rider. You see Denmarks team and it has been the same since about 2003. Nicki, Bjarne, Hans, Bjerre and Iversen. Four of those are still in the side, and it probably would still include Hans had he not got injured. Their SWC record is brilliant, but now you will see the young Danes replace some of the older ones. I think Iversen will ride his last SWC fixture on Saturday at Gorzow and will be replaced by a young Dane next year. Korneliussen made a super debut but how he copes at Gorzow is anyones guess. Just explaining how other countries have so many options due to their successful 80cc leagues. Britain have none. What will we do when Harris wraps in SWC? A team of Tai, Kennett, Barker, Bridger and King. It probably wont get past event 1! british Speedway is in a dire state and the BSPA need to take massive action. For a start, get an 80cc track made this winter, invest in some 80cc bikes and host training schools for the youngsters, they need to start somewhere and its how the major countries develope their talent.
  7. Thats like saying Man Utd fans should credit the Glaziers for their success of the last few years, and forget about Alex Ferguson!
  8. And Middlo led Poole to back to back titles in 2003/2004. And 2004 would of be an even more dominant season for Poole had Rickardsson not left and replaced by Sullivan! Theres not one team manager from as far as I can remember that has a consistent record of top 3 finishes without a duff season thrown in, admittedly I have only been a fan since 1999. May well be proved wrong.
  9. Middlos EL team managing record is brilliant in the EL. Course he won the wooden spoon, all teams can win it in speedway due to the points limit. He is the right man for the job and the riders love him. Nothing wrong with him, its the crap side he has to work with thats the problem!
  10. I can't believe Middlo is getting stick for another shambolic SWC performance from the Brits! Look at the riders he has to chose from! Apart from Harris, there is nobody to score good solid points! Nicholls may be in poor form but on a bad day is still as good as your Bridgers, Steads, Kings, Allens, etc. He opted not to ride for his own reasons. Same as Richardson. The problem with the Brits is way, way below SWC level. The developement of brits in this country is pathetic, compared to the four sides in the final. The majority of those riders have got to where they are from highly successful youth development structures in their own country. Britains is shambolic. The likes of wizzer mean well with brilliant ideas but its not down to him to invest his own money in it. I support team gb and am gutted there out but I am a realist and not surprised, the 5 riders they tracked form a poor side. All middlo can do is give the team his advice and motivation. Poole Speedway = a professionally run club, highly successful. Middlo has the tools to work with here and that is why he is a major success in dorset. Team GB = a complete farce.
  11. England? Don't you mean Great Britain? Really pisses me off when the team is actually called Great Britain yet because it only contains English riders, people call them England. Yet if a Welsh or Scottish rider ever made it into the side (highly doubtful) they would all of a sudden become Great Britain for people like Big Eddie Chek.
  12. Did people expect anything else?? GBs team was made up of 1 established heatleader (Harris), 2 third heatleaders (Woffinden & Kennett) and two second strings (Barker and Bridger). A very poor team. Its bad to go out but people must be realistic. GB are not a top four side anymore, its as simple as that. Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Aussie are the top 4, by some distance, and have a never ending conveyor belt of world class talent coming through. Batchelor superb and totally made a twirp out of steve brum who said Tai was "a straight ahead of him on the SWC stage" . Batchelor was outstanding tonight. Woffinden was not.
  13. Harris is currently the best Brit but I dont think we will see him better his #6 in the world from 2010 anytime soon unless he can sort his gating. He currently is performing awfully in the GPS and as it stands, there should not be a Brit in the SGP series of 2012. Of course, Harris could do what he done last year and have an impressive run at the end of the year but I am not too sure. What I am sure about is unless he makes the top 8, he should NOT be given a wildcard (neither should any Brit).
  14. The fact that many british fans think dryml done nothing wrong says it all. Harris rode a poor race to be picked back off by hampel then
  15. Must agree, im no speedway rider but harris had the option to shut off then and didn't. dryml done nothing wrong imo.
  16. GOOOOOOOOOOOO OOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN BOMBER what a ride that was
  17. And even better, made steve brum look even more of one, if thats possible! Ho ho ho. Tai "world class in the SGP and SWC" Woffinden. He was propping up the 2010 GP series and has failed to score in the 2011 world cup as yet . What planet does SteveBum live oN?!
  18. Must agree with brown here, woffinden reckless on dryml. woffindens attitude stinks. The gb boys are simply being outclassed, simple as that. Despite being gutted, i can only laugh at steve brum. he stated tai is world class in the swc and sgp. LOL, currently batchelor has scored 4 more points than tai in the 2011 world cup. britain will do well now to get into the race off! Hope i am proved wrong tho!
  19. Their all riding though aren't they? Stop whinging and get behind your country, take those pathetic Czech glasses off and back the Brits. Its clear somebody like you gets kicks out of moaning, god knows why, but for once stop slagging off your own countrys team and get behind them.
  20. How can you say that? Neither have done anything of note on the WTC/GP stage! Troy Batchelor has never rode a GP because he didn't get a wildcard unlike Tai in 2010, although Tai was a backmarker in the series. Here are what Tai Woffiden and Troy Batchelor scored in round 2 of the 2010 SWC at Kings Lynn. AUSTRALIA 1. Chris Holder - 3, 2, 3, 2, 2 = 12 2. Davey Watt - 3, 2, 3, 2, 1 = 11 3. Troy Batchelor - 3, 1, 3, 2, 2 = 11 4. Rory Schlein - 2, FX, 1, 2, 1 = 6 5. Darcy Ward - 2, 3, 1, 1, 1 = 8 GREAT BRITAIN 1. Scott Nicholls - 2, 3, 3, 3, 3 = 14 2. Lee Richardson - 1, 2, 2, 2, 3 = 10 3. Tai Woffinden - 2, FX, 2, 3, 0 = 7 4. Simon Stead - 3, 2, 1, 1, X = 7 5. Chris Harris - 3, 3, 3, 1, 3 = 13 In the heat they met... Heat 03: Batchelor, Woffinden, Lindback, Hautamaki. Line Up: Hautamaki, Batchelor, Woffinden, Lindback Comments: Batchelor powers round Woffinden on bend 2 lap 1 to lead and win comfortably. Tai streets ahead eh? The only international form from the last two years we can compare them on is this. Troy beat Tai when they met and Troy scored more than Tai. So, unless I am missing something, how is Tai streets ahead of Troy on the SWC/SGP stage? Had Tai spent a year in the SGP and made a few finals, finished in the top 8 etc, you may have a point. But he was poor and one of the weakest riders in the SGP series since it started. Fact. I think its time you just admitted Troy is better than Tai looking at it from all angles. The stats are piling up against you Steve.
  21. Just ahead? Think you'll find in the two big leagues, Sweden and Poland, Batchelor is a different class to Tai. And on 2011 form alone in the British EL, Batchelor is almost a full point ahead of Tai (0.90 to be precise). Batchelor is a far better rider than Tai, at the moment. Will Tai ever become a better rider than Troy? Who knows. But ATM, Batchelor is by some distance a better rider.
  22. What will be interesting is to see whether Bager and Kauko (and Magnus Karlsson if rumours are right) wil feature for Leicester. In the past teams have been unable to field riders who havent attained a true PL average. Lets see if Leicester get 3 new riders in and qualify shall we? If so, Doyle, Lanham, Gjedde and Sedgmen should easily qualify.
  23. Until Tai averages more than Troy in at least 2 of the major leagues, I think most people will realise that Troy is the better rider.
  24. How?! Batchelor is better in all 3 leagues! Neither are world champion material but Batchelor is a better rider and the facts and stats back this up. Usual Wolves bias from you, again.
