  1. Like joe screen who came in on 12 yet just scraped a 9 point figure, he's been a fine addition to the PL!
  2. As much as I despise bridger, he'd quite easily attain a 9+ PL average.
  3. Bit of a weird thing to say, Holder has finished in the top 8 twice now out of two attempts and has already won at cardiff. Emil was 3rd in his opening year, had an injury plagued second year and was 6th this year. Both have been fine additions to the series and I have no doubt Darcy would be equally as impressive as those pair now. Think he would make the top 8 in 2012 should he take part.
  4. In all honesty I think both promotions will just want to get this final fixture out of the way. I don't think either side are taking it too serious really, Scunny haven't bothered splashing out on a guest for their #1 and Newport are not fielding their number one, despite him riding lastnight for the Wasps. Should be a huge Newport win I would imagine and like someone said, if Herne doesn't get a max I would be stunned.
  5. The GP series must pay well enough, other wise the likes of PePe and Bjarne wouldn't be desparate to get back in there. They both surely know that even a top 8 place is highly unlikely, so why would they want to be part of the series, knowing they are 95% likely to be placed in the lower ranks come the end of the series, if it wasn't worth their while?
  6. At last... A half decent post from a berwick (or should I say rye) fan
  7. Pmsl... A one track pony. You don't average over ten from 25 meetings being a one track pony And of course he'll be at berwick in a few weeks time. The word coming from Newport is he was genuinely ill yesterday and wasn't feeling the best Saturday at newport either, when he was offered heat 15 but turned it down because he felt worse for wear, and felt a lot worse yesterday. Still, don't let facts get in the way of you slating him now.... Just glad we got him on such a low average because your promotion were too thick to see what he was up to, I mean that's why you hate him isn't it?!
  8. Was all set to last time before it was rained off so not sure why he won't show this time...
  9. A bit under 9 (still higher than king alden) which includes the torrid time he had at berwick. If he isn't back next year then good luck to him... Only reason he won't be back is if he goes full time EL
  10. Classic WJM... Asking people to meet him face to face !!! What I find hilarious is the amount of Berwick fans who think WJM is an arse... Ok we may have had our arguments lately but at least most Berwick fans put across a decent argument... WJM gets stumped and completely ignores the point being made to him. Most berwick fans on here cannot stand you wjm... Don't that tell you something ?
  11. Obviously a bit peeved at the time but most of us moved on way before the end of that season! We signed lanham who we were all happy with, and moved on and its a shame the berwick lot cannot do the same.
  12. Any wonder you get weekly threats of closer, pull NL league meeting, money well spent???? yer right Nick Leeson ecconomics!!!! No idea why the NL meeting with you guys was pulled... I aint all that bothered about the NL. Could be a perfectly good reason, maybe there isn't, who knows.
  13. Ran you very close without a key rider Friday night and give you a good old thumping Saturday night though, when the Jorgy failed to score, even Mark Jones outscored him over the two meetings
  14. Our team is probably the best team in the league right now, maybe second behind Glasgow, so if your fans wont turn up to watch them then god knows what crowds you get when the likes of Plymouth appear. And as for half our crowd paying one rider, if thats the case with Gjedde then its money well spent... hes been complete class for us
  15. Read the Coventry Vs KL thread... that track produced some of the fastest of the year yet almost all the riders moaned about it. You seen enough of Charlie on Friday and possibly Saturday to know he is class. lets see what the riders have to say about lastnights track shall we.
  16. Its still hilarious how Berwick fans simply cant get over what Gjedde done! They bleated on all winter about them signing him (after I had stated many times he would be a superb signing for Newport) and took the micky (WJM in particular) yet when Gjedde is poor for them, gets sacked and comes to Newport and averages over 10, they expect me not to have a go back! Its quality and everytime Gjedde rides for Newport, you just have to laugh at Berwick but thank them at the same time for allowing Gjedde to get a CMA of less than 7 points a meeting on. One poor meeting on a shocking track and people are ripping into him, as I have said a few times already yes would of been nice to see him make the final but he didnt, Doyley made the semis though so its not all bad. One bad individual meeting doesnt bother me, as long as when he pulls on the number one bib for the Wasps he rides to the standard of a number one, which he has each time, then I am happy. Its also humerous how people laugh at Newports crowds... I visited Scunthorpe a couple of months ago and the crowd was dreadful - 250 there tops and apparantly, according to a couple I know who travelled up (as fans) on Friday, the crowd was even worse this time around. Rye House suffer with terrible crowds now too as well as many other tracks and its hardly like Berwick are good for crowds - I have read screm, who is probably the most genuine Berwick fan on here, state the crowds have been poor and around the 500 mark a few times this year, which is where Newports crowds are at now. Anyway, back on topic, well done again Sam Masters
  17. My lift didn't go in the end, decided to save some dosh for next weekends trip to Glasgow instead
  18. No nerve has been hit... Gjedde had a shocker, it happens. Whether he didnt fancy it or he was injured, I do not know. All riders have their off days, just glad it was the PLRC and not a league or KOC meeting.
  19. Yawn. Didnt know you were alive after the lack of response after we gave your lot a double drubbing home and away a few weeks ago!
  20. Best book my tickets for Berwick away (twice) in advance then, if their crowds are so high I may not get a space !
  21. Keeping himself fit for Saturday and Sunday probably, we have a KOC final to look forward to, unlike Berwick
  22. I couldnt careless about meetings like this, first priority is team events for me and he hasnt let us down once in about 25 meetings. That will do for me.
  23. Must of caught something off a Berwick fan then, many Bandit fans have been suffering with a simalar illness since his 15 point max on his Wasps debut it seems.
