  1. Lemon could pass though and have seen him numerous times making decent passes on decent riders. Werner wouldn't pass a 3.00 reserve if he missed the gate. Wato in his last year or two was the ultimate gating tart but after the amount of season ending injurys he went through who could blame him, before that he could pass the best of them anywhere.
  2. Brent Werner stands out for me at Premier Level. Made the gate and was superb, miss it and you could forget it. Klindt is another one.
  3. Derwent Park was a much better track than Berwick, went to the pairs 2 or 3 times there and was always good racing.
  4. Just shows how far the standard of the younger generation has dropped. i went to the 2003 u21 final at Sheffield which Stead won, Harris was a 9 point number 1 for Trelawny and didnt even make the final. Lee Richardson in 99 won the world under 21 final in a stellar line up. You now have second tier reserves on the podium. what on earth has happened to junior speedway in the uk?
  5. Agree. And a disgusting personality/attitude to go with it. Bewley was our main hope, chalk and cheese compared to Lambert. A likeable character, pure box office to watch and no fear. hopefully this nasty leg break wont dent his future.
  6. Racing wise its streets ahead of Cardiff and Wembley. As for a GP weekend as a whole, it wont ever compare to Cardiff.
  7. Mental how low BV regular crowds are when they are given top class speedway to watch each week.
  8. Exactly , the likes of Pedersen would never give him the room he gets with the current crop and life would be much more difficult for him. Take nothing away from him though, hes a great talent and should make the most of him.

  10. Zmarzlik is for me the best of this era by some distance , and will likely get 7/8 world titles minimum. He is superb. would he of won those titles in an era containing prime Rickardsson, Crump, Pedersen? I'm not sure. Tracks back then were nowhere near as good as they are now preparation wise.

  12. Klindt has taken the p""s for years now, why anyone bothers signing him is a mystery.
  13. You could easily of set this system up ten years ago with the technology around then. Stop talking bollocks as usual.
  14. The main let down for this team has been Harris so far without a doubt. Pedersen probably hasnt lived up to the hype as much as people hoped and Hausl has been poor but they both came in on 5 point averages. The days of signing a Bjerre, a Bjarne, a Zagar, an Iversen etc to come in as unknown foreigners and average 9 in their first season are long gone sadly.
  15. You can say what you like about Poole, despite having fans like Shovlar who still chats to that dirty paedo Shawn, they win trophys. There is no doubt they would still be competing at the top end at least if they were still in the top tier. They dropped a league and shred bucket loads on outgoings yet have still maintained the same crowds each week.
  16. Despite having disagreements with his father over the years, its sad to see a rider of his caliber not riding in the UK leagues this year. He seems to fall in the same category as Roynon, always in the wrong place at wrong time.
  17. We all know Shovlar is full of nonsense and lies. Ward could ride any track and despite his off track antics, was a genuine superstar on a bike. Its sad that after returning from his ban and clearly maturing, he suffered that shocking injury that finished him. Arena for me was a great track but preferred it before they made changes to it. Think around 03 they widened it or something. Its what makes me laugh about people who used to call the likes of Lanham and Colin White one track ponys. They could ride any track but stepped it up a notch around Arena. its a much missed track.
  18. Sorry for your loss. Had a few run ins with him on here but at least he was no snowflake running off to the admins and mods every five minutes. Hope he gets a good send off.
  19. Agree, the days of seeing Henriksson stuff Morris into the turn 1 fence three times in one afternoon or Compton shoving Mullet over the fence are long gone.
  20. Lucky it wasn't Paul Pickering he was carrying on with, hed be through the fence next time they met 😂
  21. Glasgow showing that top heavy teams with gash reserves very rarely work.
  22. I dont think they do hope to take the sport forward thats the problem.
  23. Poole fans whinging about a track lmao. How comical.
  24. You would think an air fence thats 100 percent fixed down with no movement in it would see riders bouncing back into the track way more than they do now. It would be interesting to see if the number of injuries have decreased or increased since introducing air fences as well.
