Don’t you just love it when people pass comment on something they obviously know nothing about !! I personally have spoken to four Berwick riders today and they all said the track was very similar to the week before and was good, slightly slicker due to the ground heat and wind and razor unable to water in the afternoon due to Berwick Rangers playing at home, the problem was theirs and not the track !
The season opener last year there was five or six cars towed out the car park by one of the tractors, on Thursday past after the practice there was a car and a motor home had to be pushed out
The Berwick supporters club used to support the club and the riders, but changed a few years ago to only supporting the riders and theirselves by way of subsidising buses for away meetings. Which I’ve been told is the reason they have to change their name as they don’t Support The Speedway Club anymore.
What did he have to do with the track ?. He turned up on a Saturday at 5 O-clock so cant possibly see what he had to do with it as most of the prep is done by then
Can’t get press to come on a Saturday apart from the local rag, because of Football, could be the reason. Possible TV Coverage on the Friday night with meeting on the Saturday may help swell the crowd
Havelock Gone, I hope, Most of the riders weren’t impressed with him last year. I was at a talk last winter when he openly admitted to never having read a rule book !! Not what you should be hearing from a team manager in my opinion.
Kennett lived in the Midlands at that time I believe and wasn’t to keen of the travel then. At the present time, he is not allowed to ride Championship anyway according to today’s Speedway Star, More Crazy BSPA rules
Announcing riders at a function to encourage more supporters to attend is old hat in my opinion, in the modern age, any signings will be all over social media 10 seconds after they are announced. So, only the people who would go regardless, will be there anyway
