Alarmingly Low Crowds
New Science replied to remembertheracers's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
You can always tell the size of the crowd at Wolves by the amount of cars parked outside the stadium car park. Last night was the largest Elite league crowd we have had for a few years.Shame they did not get racing worthy of it -

Well done to Wolves ,scored all the way round.Good crowd tonight , up to the levels we used to have, only down point was the racing which was largely poor. It needs to be better than that if your charging 18 quid -
Speedway not bad tonight, racing and track got better as the night went on., Echo the thoughts about Natalie Quirke, bit nervous to start but looking assured and a natural by the end. What a record Kildermand has got in those GP's . There were those who didn't think he should have been picked because he didn't come through the qualifiers

Speedway Champions League ?

You wont blame Castanga you mean. In the Star this week he's preaching safety after single handily instigating the introduction of silencers which have increased the injury list significantly. -
How are Berwick,Redcar,Sheffield or any other team currently in the Premier league going to afford paying the top stars who ride in Sweden and Poland.

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?

On Tai's official website Pearson is listed as being in charge of PR Good on Pearson for making the comment public. My 2 nine foot Woffinden flags wont be going with me to Warsaw -
You've admitted yourself on here that racing was much better in the past at Monmore than it is currently !

Who says the BSPA would not seed him ? Maybe someone should ask the question ? Personally I would be happy for the 2 GP riders to have the available wildcards . What do others think ? Lets make it happen, Tai and Bomber seeded straight to the final to get the prestige British Final at the NSS with the best possible field. -
Belle Vue Grand Opening Refund?
New Science replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Or a version of the truth, Sometimes if you keep brow beating people with the same facts people eventually take it as the truth even thou it may not be -
As you state in this post the new silencers have been a massive negative in the quality of speedway at Monmore. Yes I remember Ermolenko,Correy and the Karlssons , but I also remember the 2009 season, only 7 years ago. What a season for Freddie Lindgren, only dropped 7 points I think at home all year and Freddie didn't make the gate that often. Be it Crump, Adams, Pedersen, he would simply round em up at Monmore, inside, outside he was simply impossible to defend against. Now an outside pass at Monmore is as rare as hens teeth. So yes as recent as 2009 / 2010 the passing at Monmore was off the scale and rarely gating was the be all and end all. And as a footnote this is the reason the people I know have stopped coming, because the speedway is not as good as it used to be

So what reason for Tai deciding to miss the British Final do you totally understand ? -
So why is riding in the British Final burnout ?
-
Not quite sure how turning up for the British Final equals burnout But coming over to the UK to do several dates for a training school doesn't Surely burnout relates to travelling which probably be more for the training schools ?
-
The F.I.M run the show . Maybe we should blame them for killing speedway

Belle Vue Grand Opening Refund?
New Science replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I wouldn't try to make balanced argument Rob .Anyone who dares to come on here now and suggest the Belle Vue management are at any point to blame is systematically and aggressively rounded upon by the Belle Vue Mafia of Ouch,Fred Flange,Aces51 with a supporting role from the White Knight. Small in number but very vociferous with their posts -
Didn't used to be like that as I remember !
-
Bring the old silencers back to give us tracks with more dirt, better racing, proper engine noise and less injuries I Know, NO chance in hell. If I want to cheer myself up I watch the box set of the 2010 GP series, AH Tomasz Gollob and speedway at its very best, even Cardiff was great racing, the good old days..Also the 2008 season Wolves may have finished bottom but from memory we had 7 last heat deciders, the racing that year at Monmore was 2nd to non Sorry, rant over !

How could they have staged the opening meeting if the stadium had not been handed over. ? -
Mechandise Stands
New Science replied to NickRushbrook's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Usually stalls across the road from the main stadium entrance selling rider merchandise, plus collectors fare as mentioned -
I think most people know truth. There was undoubtedly issues with the track surface prior to the opening night but the promoters still went ahead knowing this
