  1. I understand Tai Woffinden has a lot of loyal followers on here. I get it, he is one of the best riders of the current era and a 2 time British World champ. For his fans on here, does he have a red line. If just for instance he decided to sit out a probable 3 meetings in next years World Cup to improve his World Championship prospects for the same reasons as he has missed the British Final (burn out) Would this change anyone's opinion ?
  2. I've said this before, do you speak to Woffinden, are you in his inner circle, if not then yours views are not facts just speculation and opinions the same as every other poster on here. And getting aggressive and replying in capital letters with anyone who doesn't agree with your speculation / opinion still doesn't make your opinion any more of a fact
  3. Good meeting at Kings Lynn tonight, well done to the Bees.Track the best I have seen it for some time, good racing. What has happened to the fans at Kings Lynn, shocking crowd
  4. As someone who goes to Cardiff every year I'm hoping there is more at the fanzone to keep me more than the usual 15 minutes. Quite like the live band but it seems that been canned. There must be plenty of speedway personalities knocking around on the day (Loram,Havy etc, lets get em on stage and ask their opinions on the sport . Not just Pearson and Tatum who give us the PR spin. Keep the stage busy with something happening all the time
  5. I suppose where there is a will there is a way.As Danny says last year was virtually the same scenario but it was achieved. Why do some people find it so unbelievable that Tai simply does not want to ride in the British Final again. The title has no merit or worth anymore since he has won it 3 times on the bounce, its an irritation he could do without on his calendar,if that's the case then fair enough come out and say it, not all the other excuses. Does anyone really think we will see Woffinden in the British Final again ?
  6. Strange it was do able last year when it was the chance to win 3 British Titles in a row. Now that's been achieved its not possible any more. Face it Woffinden has outgrown the British Final and doesn't need it any more, its not about getting 2 bikes into the country, he moves bikes around Europe every week.
  7. As they are now. All the Elite league bosses talk about is finishing top 4 in a league of 8 hardly succes. You see teams away from home running with numerous guests with riders missing but it doesn't matter as long as your on course for the play offs. Every meeting should matter
  8. Got to agree thought Masters should have gone from the original running when he dive bombed Worral and caused him to fall. Ref got the second one correct in my view excluding Howarth.. Had t laugh at 2 elderly gentlemen behind me supporting Belle Vue. Every heat they were shouting, "ride the white line, stay tight, don't let em through on the inside" Their riders were not listening How speedway has changed
  9. Why have a league season of 22 ish matches and then have to have a play off system to decide who gets relegated. .Surely in a pure league system bottom 3 get relegated , top 3 get promoted. Seems we need play offs to decide everything these days
  10. Think after 59 pages we should wrap this thread up.For those who have read my posts I have no problem Tai being selected for the World Cup team or for giving the Elite League a miss as many other of the top riders do,I understand why ! My beef was losing Mr Woffinden to the British Final this year and probably for good, It just doesn't sit right with me. Thankfully over the last 59 pages his reasons for missing Manchester this year have been layed bare as Mental Burnout Physical Burnout Scheduling of the semi finals Scheduling of the final No bikes in England Cost Giving the young riders a chance Outgrown the competition Other priorities 2 fingers up to the BSPA Think that's it
  11. Think your opinions on Tai missing the British Finals are like everyone else's just hearsay. If only Steve Brandon could have continued his line of questioning at the GP we might have found out from the horse's mouth unscripted, rather than the carefully prepared statements
  12. Wolves have to hope if they make the play offs they don't run into Belle Vue. With their emerging strength at home and some Monmore specialists take them to beat Wolves easily over 2 legs
  13. Sure we will see some T shirts at Cardiff ' I survived the World U21 at Kings Lynn '
  14. Doesn't look a great crowd at Kings Lynn tonight for World u21 . Thought it would be packed with a good field and lots of British interest
  15. The Polish system is a mess, teams going bust every year, Daugvapils win the league but don't get promoted and then other teams from the same division are offered there place,
  16. Gladly you in the majority have not resorted to being ' vocal ' (not)
  17. So we are going to have a full season of fixtures the promotion / relegation will be sorted out by the lottery of a play off ?
  18. Shows the wealth and demand in sports mad Britain. Would probably be no more than 20 quid in Poland for the same event
  19. So you've spoken to Tai you can confirm that is the truth Just for the record I'm not a Tai hater just someone who has changed their opinion and thinks less of him now, since he decided to deprive his fans of seeing him in a rare appearance on home shale at the British Final . I'm not on my own
  20. Other than DJ Huw Stephens (I'd not heard of him) seems pretty much the same as every year
  21. If this is the case how did Tai manage to ride and win the British Final for the last 3 years when his commitments were exactly the same ? Explain !
  22. Good to see Pearson clear up Woffinden's non appearance at Belle Vue in the local rag tonight, its now that he did not have a bike in Britain .. Wish Steve Brandon had continued his line of questioning at the GP Saturday so we could have heard it from the horses mouth the reason why he didn't appear on Monday
  23. Not knocking your idea but why should every event descend into a mini GP series. The weakness of the GP series as Woffinden said on Saturday that "he is not that bothered about winning each event just banking points" At least with a one off event it is all about winning which for me is what it should be about,it brings intensity to the event. On the World stage just imagine a one off World final at Torun (how good would that be)
  24. Who had Danny King in their side before last night ?
  25. But not riding in the British Final tonight, shame !
