The facts are he refused to come back to Leicester after being injured but carried on riding in Poland and Sweden.

Hougaard quit on Leicester last time he raced for us.......his excuse for walking out was that every time he raced in the u.k. he got injured...lets hope history won't repeat itself!

If I were DH I would not allow Coventry to use the Leicester track when they are evicted from Brandon.......hey presto Leicester runs on a Friday........WinWin situation.

Stead may want to ride for Leicester but it's a big risk to go with him at the start of the season after such a big crash last season.

I have no connection to anyone at Leicester Speedway in any way,shape or form....I've been pretty critical about the people who run Leicester Speedway and are not part of any clique......to suggest that I bully anyone is beyond belief.....I say it as I perceive it right or wrong!

I hope they don't go about the track changes half arsed like last time.......if it's done correctly which it should be with Glyn doing the changes then fair play to them.

I take it you never went personally........obviously not every meeting was fantastic but generally there would be good racing on a fair track......I would say I have never seen a match at Beaumont Park that has surpassed any match at Blackbird Road racing wise.What do you mean visiting riders have never had a problem? If you are referring to passing I would very much doubt that visiting riders find it easy to pass at BP the same as the home riders. Leicester Speedway....4 Riders......4 Laps.....No passing after 2nd bend 1st lap!.

I suppose after attending Blackbird Road from the 1977season until it closed at the end of 83 I was spoilt by a fantastic track most of the time.What is annoying is that this will be the 6th season and the track has never been good for passing-everybody knows that. The fact is nobody has ever tried to remedy the track is in my opinion a shocking dereliction of responsibility by the owners...especially after 5 completed seasons of generally boring races. I live in hope of things changing......but I won't be holding my breath. Another big problem is the lack of putting a team together.............for every day and week that go by people's expectations of a successful season is being replaced by apathy and it can't be good for the selling of season tickets.

But goodwill only goes so far............Beaumont Park has never been a Speedway track in the truest sense of the word and will always produce mediocre races and meetings.

It's crap...I've been a season ticket holder for the last 4 seasons and the so called racing veers between mediocre and poor usually.Very occasionally you get a decent race and/or meeting but nowhere near enough.....I must be a glutton for punishment because I still keep going in the hope seeing something to be excited about and sadly come away most weeks feeling let down again. I live in hope of someone else taking over from Diamond Dave and giving the fans a track the supporters deserve.

Wouldn't fancy Lawson or Schlein.
