I agree with nearly everything you say and I too will keep on attending and supporting the lads,I just wish that my pulse would get above normal whilst watching most of the racing!

Coincidently there's a travellers 'camp' pretty close by. This is not the first time it's happened,I seem to recall it was raided twice before........it stopped when the coppers moved them on. Obviously I'm not saying it's definitely them.....probably just a coincidence?

I wonder if Dave Darcy will be the first passenger?

It's not a pisstake,enough's enough. I have tried to be patient in the vain hope that things would improve but I just feel now the promotion are taking the urine! The novelty of Elite league speedway will wear off if the racing doesn't get better and it won't get better without spending some dough which Hemsley clearly doesn't want to do. Did the Elite league teams get any money from sky,if they did can't Denial Dave spend it on the track? I dread to think what sky tv viewers will make of the racing when we are featured on sky sports.

For me last night was the absolute lowest point of of Leicester Speedway,never have i come away so totally dispirited by what i had just witnessed. I've tried,by God I've tried to be supportive to the promotion,but last nights 'racing' was probably the worst I've ever seen in my entire life! Everybody knows the track is very poor (i should say possibly the worst in the country) last night there was not 1 proper pass or any close 'racing' at all....once the riders get past the 2nd bend on the first lap you might as well fill your programme in! How can racers like Mads,Simon Stead and Tom Perry even hope to pass when they don't make the gate....no chance on this track,surely the riders and Norrie Allen know that the track is not fit for purpose. I don't blame Glyn,how can you polish a turd? David Hemsley in his programme notes and in his column in the Leicester Mercury says the racing is good,is this man in charge of his faculties....Let me spell it out the 'racing ' is pants if he thinks otherwise he is obviously not the man to run Leicester Speedway. I wonder if the riders are satisfied with the track having no racing lines? I urge the 'promotion' to change the track into something resembling a proper speedway track with proper racing(surely it can't be that hard to bring both bends in,it could be done in a weekend)if not then sell it to somebody who can before it's too late! My gut feeling is the whole thing is run by a bunch of amateurs without any thought for the general paying public!

you are bound to get strung out races using national league riders.....get used to it. better to watch good racing with a couple of hundred watching them at Peterborough eh.

This from Jason from the Leicester website. To all the Leicester Lions supporters, team members and officials. Firstly, I would like to say how happy I am to be riding for Leicester Lions this season. I am really looking forward to the new challenge of a new club. I already know this club is very professional with all their organisation and endless work they have put in with my visa troubles, I hope this is the only problem I have this season. I would like to personally thank David Hemsley and his team for all their hard work over the last 3 months sorting this out. I think the team David and Norrie have put together is a really solid team. I know all the boys are racers and will give 100% all season and that’s all I am sure the club and supporters can ask for. I am looking forward to working with Norrie Allan this season, he has a lot of good things for the club and what he doesn’t know about speedway isn’t worth knowing. I am really sorry I wont be at press day to see all the supporters but I hope to see you all soon ready for the 1st meeting.

Don't worry Steve,knobert always starts his replies by calling other people either stupid,foolish or silly or sometimes he says you really made him laugh?Always remember that he hasn't got a clue about anything,he generally makes things up or misquotes other posters. wrong again....You try and find a post where I've said there is nothing wrong with the track....you won't because I've never made that claim.....the issues I've got is with the constant moaning about the track,I know criticism comes more easily than praise to most of the people that live in this country but when something is supposed to be a hobby to look forward to and enjoy rather than endure I don't get it.
