Doyle,Craig Cook,Nick Morris,Klindt,Steady,Roynon and Clegg.

Including the likes of Auty,Birks,Roynon and perhaps Charles Wright will at least give every team a good rider at number 6 unlike the patently unfair situation last season where certain teams were at a massive disadvantage.

More Visa Problems On The Way For Aussie Riders?
mrcts replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Never heard of the Anglo- Saxons eh!Most people in this country have either Scandanavian or German blood in their veins, and by the way I have no problems with people from other countries....I was trying to say that most people who oppose mass immigration are quite happy with "selective" immigration. -
More Visa Problems On The Way For Aussie Riders?
mrcts replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
perhaps the general consensus is people only want our kith and kin here..........ie.only Northern Europeans like Germans and Scandinavians and people from the white Commonwealth. -
Thank you.

When Brandon closes we will not need permission to run Friday nights.

From the Leicester website regarding Doyley. "The season may have just ended for the Rapid Solicitors Lions but Promoter David Hemsley is already thinking about the team that he would like to see represent the club next year. The Lions ended their first season in the Elite League a disappointing last and that is a position that Hemsley does not want to see replicated in 2015. “Attendance wise it was a success and for that reason alone it endorsed the decision to move into the top division. The level of racing and quality of competitor was that much better than we had seen before as most weeks a Grand Prix rider featured in the visiting team at the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium. Looking back we had our moments and at one stage went six matches unbeaten at home before injuries took their toll. The one big positive to take from the season was the arrival of Jason Doyle on the world stage and he has deservedly earned his place in next season’s Grand Prix series which of course presents us with a challenge if he decides to return for a second season at Leicester as each of the rounds of the competition are staged on Saturday’s, our normal race night, but that will not get in the way of talking to Jason this weekend” explained Hemsley. Hemsley, accompanied by his Team Manager Norrie Allan is due to travel out to Poland today to open talks with Jason Doyle who is attending the last round of the Speedway Grand Prix at the Torun track. “Jason is my top priority to secure his signature for 2015. He became an instant hit with Lions fans and I know that they will be delighted if talks come to fruition at the weekend. I don’t see that a clash of commitments between Leicester and the staging of the Grand Prix meetings will be a problem as I am formulating plans for a workaround as and when Jason will be missing but I cannot divulge what they are until I have cleared it with our governing body. Whilst we are in Poland I will be taking the opportunity to talk to a current Grand Prix rider about the possibility of joining Leicester. At this moment in time it would be unfair to name him but should we be successful the rider in question will add a new dimension to the team and create a powerful spearhead with Jason. It was an area we lacked at the top end of the team last season and I believe it is essential that we rectify the situation going forward” added Hemsley."

He said that due to major track improvements next season he would be recruiting riders such as Chris Harris,Darcy Ward and Lewis Bridger who can thrill the crowd by their fantastic overtaking manoeuvres.

I thought Stead was a Swindon 'asset'
-
Assets mean absolutely nothing, self employed riders will ride where they want to.....the asset 'system' is all smoke and mirrors.
-
Next year. 1.Doyle 2.Craig Cook 3.Nick Morris 4.Steady 5.Klindt
-
I think Mads tries hard but i guess that he keeps his best bikes in Poland and Sweden.

Leicester V. King's Lynn Thursday Sept 11th
mrcts replied to Star Fever's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
To be fair apart from the Swindon match the racing has been pretty good the last 4 or 5 home meetings,I never thought i would actually say those words because the track had a well deserved reputation for poor racing....i can't get my head around why it has changed so much for the better? -
I agree the meeting was pretty poor with not a lot of good racing, but to be fair the previous 3 or 4 home meetings have been pretty good racing-wise a whole lot better than all the previous meeting combined since we reopened.

Elite League Draft - 2014 - Success ?
mrcts replied to markyb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Like that's fair? So teams who picked poorly this season will have there hands tied behind there backs next season whilst the likes of Blackbird,Garrity,Kerr and Worrall rack up the points again against riders patently below that standard distorting match results.Any fast track rider averaging over 7 points should not be allowed to ride as a reserve next season they should be in the main body of the team like Robert Lambert. -
Elite League Draft - 2014 - Success ?
mrcts replied to markyb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It depends on which team you support.......In my opinion certain teams are at too much of a disadvantage before the racing even starts and the worst thing is that they can't be replaced even though some of them are out of their depths. I think Elite reserves should be British and only 1 per team, sourced from the Premier the likes of Roynon,Birks,Auty,Worral,Charles Wright etc. -
I think the last 3 home meetings have produced a lot of decent racing..... By far better than any meetings previously.....how many people have moaned about the racing for those 3 meetings on the forum?,even Robert72 hasn't moaned so that must say the racing has definitely improved! Does anybody know why that is? Is a different shale being used or is the track being prepared differently?

Poole Vs Leicester 20/08/2014
mrcts replied to Tom Turner's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
why hasn't Doyle turned up? -
Wonder what average he would come in at?
-
Presuming the current point limit is staying at 32 for the top 5 I would like to see the following team(using the current green sheet averages). 1.Jason Doyle. 8.03 2.Simon Stead. 6.60 3.Craig Cook. 6.41 4.Nick Morris. 6.07 5.Nicolai Klindt. 4.49 Total 31.60. No place for Mads as I think he has been disappointing,he doesn't replicate his Polish and Swedish form in the u.k.( I think he keeps his best bikes in those two countries),and also no place for Buczkowski who flatters to deceive .......both of them try hard but it's just not happening.
-
Looking forward to this match after last Saturdays meeting. Was the far better racing last week down to track preperation....I know Doc Bridgett was in attendance perhaps it was his imput?
-
Best meeting I've seen at Leicester by a country mile, more passing in this meeting than all the others this season put together..if most meetings were like this who could complain? The 13th heat was worth the price of admission on its own a great tussle between Buczkowski and Harris.

Chris Widman-Stoke reserve/second string.

Swindon V Leicester Thursday 17th July
mrcts replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Doyley will go were he wants next season, being as he along with all other riders are self employed and can pick and choose.....being an asset means nothing.
