Mark will be good for 5-6 points a meeting been very impressive for us this season. Improved massively at the end of last season and hasn't shown any signs of dropping that form so far. Personally feel sorry for Max as the way the wolves team was built with him as senior reserve wasn't going to work as he isn't ready for that role yet. I'm sure he'll get it right and bounce back as everyone up here at Edinburgh is behind him.

Mr Blobby replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Lovely day weather wise so there should be no problems with the track unlike last week. -
Should be a tougher test than last week. the Bears stronger at number one with Worrall in place of Garrity who was a family funeral. R/R will operate for Wright who will be riding for his Premiership side. Home win by 12. Line ups for Friday Sam Masters Josh Pickering Erik Riss Max Clegg Ricky Wells Mark Riss Mitchell Davey Redcar Richie Worrall (G) Coty Garcia Charles Wright R/R Jonas B Anderson Ben Barker Richard Hall Ellis Perks EDIT: announced tonight at Redcar that Anderson won't be there tomorrow night and is replaced by rob Branford. Surely Redcar would of known that he wasn't going to be there tomorrow before tonight. EDIT 2.0: Anderson now riding again

Easy night for the boys even though a couple of them weren't at their best. Track was tricky with the heavy shower that fell in the afternoon making the track heavy and patchy. Erik, Sam and Ricky didn't even look like getting beat last night very impressive. -

Max is a confidence rider and at the moment he's seems to be a a all time low. It's a shame as we know what he's capable of. Hopefully he can get a race win under his belt and can start to rebuild his season. -

kind of expected us to keep it close but a win is even better. great start to the season for the boys. young josh has been fantastic so far and long may it continue. A 5 man team at the moment just need to get Max and Mitch firing and we'll be looking good. some of the boys weren't the quickest but we were getting out the gates very well and riding the right lines. Need to take advantage of having Mark at reserve as he isn't going to be there for long. -

I don't think we'll win but can see us getting a point. With mark being the trump card at reserve. -
Edinburgh V Scunthorpe Ch 7/4/17 @ 7.30pm
Mr Blobby replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good way to start the season with a big win even though Mitch and max struggled it was still very convincing. Sam was his usual self and Ricky wells was a joy to watch his ride in heat 11 especially. Erik started well and kind of lost his way after his harsh exclusion. Mark won't be at reserve long if he continues like fantastic last night. Special mention to josh Pickering who for only his second meeting was fantastic seems we've got a good one in josh. -

He'll be fine for Sunday I bet -
So after a successful week last week with a entertaining Scottish open we start our league campaign against the Scunthorpe scorpions who have a top 5 who on their day individually can win races round Armadale so we will need to be on it from the start in this one if we want to send the scorpions home with nothing. Teams for Friday. Edinburgh Sam Masters Josh Pickering Erik Riss Max Clegg Ricky Wells Mark Riss Mitchell Davey Scunthorpe Ryan Douglas Carl Wilkinson Lewis Kerr Micheal Palm Toft Josh Auty Fritz Wallner Josh Bailey

Visiting Edinburgh & Glasgow
Mr Blobby replied to Speedball's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
you've got the choice of the Cairn hotel, Kaim park hotel or the premier inn not in armadale but all with in a 5 - 10 minute taxi journey of the stadium and the train station in Bathgate. If getting the train from Edinburgh best getting ON/OFF at Bathgate easier to get a taxi to the stadium or from your hotel. -
Good score from Erik considering he blew 2 engines the night before at Edinburgh

Does That stand for your club as well

Nice afternoon at the P&P yesterday. Was impressed by young Pickering for his first time round Armadale he had no problems what so ever smooth and stylish which was good to see. Interesting to see Michael haertel over with the Riss boys for spin he was t looking to bad himself one to keep a eye on.

4th place for josh in the Aussie under 21s this morning good result for the lad. Had a cracking ride against Kurtz where he stalked him for the whole race before making a great pass for the win. Congratulations to ex monarch max fricke on yet another under 21 title.
