  1. Looking forward to seeing some racing back at Armadale once again. Personally feel like any win would be a good result for us tomorrow against a Glasgow side who’s riders are very useful around the Dale, apart from the big Dane. More competive Laps under their belts as well for the boys prior to the proper stuff starting.
  2. Wouldn’t say conspiracy, but it does come across a little odd that he has mentioned them at all. Anyway sad to see, Stewart was always good for a chat and a bit of banter. Very passionate about his speedway and Glasgow speedway of course, disappointing to see.
  3. As we celebrate 70 years to this day that the club rode its first ever match, they have also announced that we now have a team sponsor for the season in staggs bar in Musselburgh.
  4. Good workout for the boys last night, I’m sure they’ll be a little disappointed being 2 down with 2 to go and then go on to concede 2 5-1s. Ricky was solid, young max was impressive and looks a great find, mark was solid as a 3rd heat leader, tough baptism to British speedway for Joel hopefully he will improve with time, Erik looks the real deal this year and ready to take the next step in his career can see him being number 1 sooner rather than later, josh struggled but we know he can do far better so no need to worry and Matt was the star man for me very impressive sharp out the gate and no slouch after that either. New season same old sarj, really needs to learn to sit still at the start getting beyond a joke now.
  5. Edinburgh will line up like this 1. Wells 2. Ruml 3. M. Riss 4. Andersson 5. E. Riss 6. Williamson 7. Pickering
  6. You’ve got me there, getting my excuses in early for what is a pre season friendly effectively, where it’s mainly about getting competitive laps in before the real stuff starts.
  7. Not to bothered about the result with it being our first meeting of the season, as long as we don’t disgrace ourselves. looking forward to seeing max and Joel in competitive action to see how they get on not expecting too much against a strong Glasgow top 5. Also looking forward to seeing if the alterations to the track make any difference to the racing or still be follow the leader.
  8. Good to see some action yesterday at press and practice track staff done a tremendous job getting the track in fantastic shape for the boys. Armadale still as cold as ever as well. For the new boys Max and Joel were smooth and had no problems getting round unlike some riders you see struggle to get round the Dale and Matt got better and better as the session went on and looked to have the place sussed out by the end.
  9. Yet the UKVI said he was eligible! Or are you ignoring that fact?
  10. Standard statement from the BSPA. The BSPA are entirely to blame. We as the rules state were entitled to an appeal. The club had assurance from the UKVI that he would get a visa if the BSPA committee said yes, yet they denied the appeal and are yet to still give the club an actual reason behind their decision.
  11. The UKVI said they would give Luke a visa on the blessing of BSPA, the committee refused to give permission and have still yet to give the club an actual reason for doing so.
  12. The BSPA statement is laughable, rejected it on the criteria set by the UKVI yet we had the backing of the UKVI for Luke to get a visa.
  13. BSPA rules were followed on this one as Luke fitted the criteria for an appeal. On the basis of his injury and that he would enhance British speedway. Shame that the committee who never gave a reason For rejecting did so.
  14. Even with the backing of the UK visa and immigration that he has a case to be eligible to ride due to missing a round through injury that basically stopped him automatically getting his visa the BSPA committee still rejected it. Doesn’t come as a surprise with who’s on the committee, Godfrey the worst of the lot. This is where an independent panel is needed so there is no self interest.
  15. An American and a protest by certain clubs was the rumour.
  16. From what I’ve heard, you’re not far off the mark.
  17. 2nd in the A final cracking stuff. Trump card starting at reserve this season.
  18. He’s riding at pinjar Park on Saturday in the rob Woffinden classic.
  19. Explanation into Joel average. http://edinburghmonarchs.co/news-centre/article/2018-01-03/joel-explained
  20. I don’t think Joel average is the reason the final rider hasn’t been announced.
  21. Think the final rider will be an American.
