Unattached British Talent ?
Mr Blobby replied to GiveusaB's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It’s easier for promoters to bring in a foreigner hoping they’ve found a gem instead of a Brit who has been around the same average for a couple of years. -

Well no, greaves for example has been around a few seasons now and can’t even average over 5. -

Teams would rather take the risk of bringing in a fresh face from abroad that they hope will go from being a 4 point rider to a heat leader within 2/3 seasons than sign up a Brit who you know what you’re getting with and probably aren’t going to hit those heights. -
Poole Pirates 2021
Mr Blobby replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The same Jordan Stewart who was riding with an injury and then pulled out. -
If they opened it up to anyone it would get abused and crowds would go down. It’s aimed at those who are too far away to attend to still watch their side and away fans who can’t make the journey but can still cheer on their side also. for example if it was open to locals then why go and pay £17 when you could watch it at home for £10 the club would be doing themselves out of money.

Think it was around £10

https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2020-01-27/new-for-2020-emtvlive great news, this was trialed last season and thankfully the bspa have given it they’re full backing. great for people that live too far away to support their side to still watch their side in action. Also for away fans who can’t make the trip north who can still watch their sides also. extra revenue stream as well which in this sport is a positive. Well done to all involved.

Powers at be make themselves look more amateurish by the day. what is the point in having a draw if you’re just going to fix it/tamper with it.
-
Wise bet. Be good for his development riding Armadale more regularly.
-
About time might actually see some decent racing for once down there. well done to the promotion for trying to make a difference.
-
The miller brothers are regular second half riders at Armadale. Both young lads looking to make the step up and with a team up here now they will more than likely get that chance. Be good experience for them and hopefully push them on to the next level.
-
Now that we have a NL side again for the first time since 2005 hopefully be able to bring through our next crop of up and coming Scottish riders like before. just the sort of platform the likes of the miller brothers need to progress.
-
Edinburgh will have NL team this year with the comeback of the sale devils. Fantastic to see.

https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2019-12-16/armadale-enter-national-development-league welcome back to the dale devils. Great to see we’ve now got a NL team again this far north. Hopefully the stepping stone that we require to bring on some of the young riders we have up here like before with the like of William Lawson, Derek Sneddon and Andrew Tully.

Now you’re putting words in my mouth
-
Track better be perfect with cookie , Sedgy and Ricky in the same team.
-
Gave the same loyalty speech as cookie. Judas good rider If head is right and if starts the season well
-
Interesting as when we tried to bring back Lawson we were told not a chance at coming in on 3/2 point average.
-
Ostergaard is on the decline but Jensen at reserve is a no brainer.
-
Enough for Justin sedgmen

It’s a team that could go well or could be a big of a disaster. Lasse been riding in Sweden, Denmark and Norway last year looking to come across and make the next step in his career. Kye has only been riding speedway since 2016 and has come a long way in that time and will hopefully continue to improve. happy to have William and James at reserve. Sarj starting down there with Edinburgh as his home track will give him a good confident start to the season that should hopefully push him on a touch again. william was scoring well near the end of the season and is putting a good amount of money into his speedway for next year. Looking to have a brand new one plus he’s got a sponsor for new engine.
-
william plans on racing in 2020. if he gets a team place at edinburgh or else where. guess we'll find out in the next few hours.
-
So the remaining 4 riders to be announced tonight at the home highlights night. I wonder who it will be . guess we’ll find out later.
-
Yeah that’s it
