There’s hard riding and there’s the Charles wright way of riding. two he’s got away with tonight thankfully josh and lasse have both walked away. One of the worst decisions I’ve seen excluding lasse there. -

Having R/R for Edwards balances out summers in for Riss. -

Think this was made before Riss announced on his Facebook page he wasn’t fit. -

Probably balance itself out for the bears imo only if Edwards is missing as I think over the 2 legs R/R will more than likely score more than what he would. Hopefully we can build a bigger lead than the previous time as we made a bit of a mess of the home leg last time out. Sam had basically had a 2 week rest so he should be in much better this time out which is a great help. -
Edinburgh - new home required….

The bid was less, even though we racked about a lot of points for community the decision purely came down to cash in certain members of the councils eyes. Seen as a short term fix for the councils funds. -

The meeting was live to watch for the public. However it became private when it came to the land for the speedway and then become public again for the next topic. make of that what you will. -

What part of the club made the fans aware that it wasn’t in the bag and we didn’t have the land and we had just put a bid in for it are people are struggling to grasp. -

I’ll repeat like I said earlier. They announced the plans of what they were going to do if they got it. The club have never once said they have the land. Again it was announced to drum up interest and extra funds for the project. Unfortunately the council choose a different bidder. -

The committee has members from all parties majority of seats are those of Labour. Everyone else bar them voted for the speedway. -

Absolutely but the way I see their decision is a short term gain rather than long term. -

The bid isn’t about who bid the most. There’s a point scoring system as well for things like what it’s for what it does for the community etc. which then gets transferred into cash. But of course it’s not real money. very short sighted view by powers at be imo. -

Our offer was to buy the land outright. -

Again you’re talking nonsense. The council have been actively helping the club over the last year trying to find land that would be suitable this area was found. It was then put on the market for the club to purchase. There was only ever one other bidder. The gentleman who they when I say they I Mean the Labour Party gave it too. The reason the club made it public was to drum up more funds for the project and so everyone could make their community and the council aware of what good things the club had planned for the area. when the meeting happened yesterday all the other agendas were public for viewing but when it came to the speedway agenda it went private and then when finished become public again for the next one. All other parties at the meeting were in favour of the monarchs apart from the leaders of the group which being the Labour Party. All other parties asked for this to be appealed and looked at again but it was waved away by the muppets in charge. -

It’s going to be getting used to build industrial units then rented out. Quick cash for the council or seen by the labour members anyway. -

What a load of nonsense. Everyone was made aware to help drum interest to get the local community involved in it to raise funds. How are the club supposed to do that by keeping it hush. Everyone knew from the start it wasn’t a certainty. The club made everyone aware of that. -

It’s extremely disappointing news for the club as the council helped find the land and put the land up for sale for us to purchase. There was only ever one other bidder who the labour members of the committee who have majority of the vote have given the land too which will be used to build industrial units which he will rent out. Certain members of the board (labour members) have seen the money signs and seen it as a quick cash fix for the council rather than the long term gain and community aspect of it. It really is a shame cause everyone else within the committee was all for the monarchs getting the land but when one party hold the majority vote then what chance do you have.
