  1. Forecast for Friday doesn't look good, Rain all day hopefully that will change
  2. It won't be Cook as his average is now higher than Lawsons.
  3. Well this one should be a lot closer than our other home matches this season as the scorpions have picked up 5 points in there last 2 visits (i think) to the Scotwaste arena. The scorpions come up north with 5 of the 7 riders that were here last season with the only changes being at reserve. Still think that the monarchs will be to strong for the scorpions on the night and will win by around 10 points. The teams for Friday will line up like this: Edinburgh 'Scotwaste' Monarchs Craig Cook Derek Sneddon © Theo Pijper Max Fricke Claus Vissing Marcel Helfer Jozsef Tabaka Scunthorpe 'Henderson's Insurance' Scorpions Josh Auty Thomas Jorgensen Michael Palm Toft Ashley Birks David Howe © Lewis Blackbird Ryan Douglas
  4. Statement from the BSPA stating that it had nothing to do with them. http://www.speedwayg...hp?extend.20061
  5. Only if i could get a pound for every time MJJ fan club posted nonsense on this forum!
  6. Why do you post such nonsense??? Only 3 rider posted a time under 64 seconds Barker and Cook twice With Cook having the fastest time of the night 62.5 Another point Lawsons highest score at home is 11 this season from 4 home matches Cook got 12 tonight on his first appearance of the season to Derwent park. Your heat 13 point is nonsense as Lawson has only won 1 of his 4 attempts at heat 13.
  7. Well that was a bit wet tonight but the times got a bit quicker as the night went on as the track dried out a bit. Race of the night was probably between max fricke and robin aspergren with aspergren dive bombing the young aussie only for him to cut back and drive back under aspergren going into the final bend and making it sick for his first paid maximum in the blue & gold!
  8. Lawson only has a higher average due to the rolling averages. points form first 6 matches form their programmed rides Lawson (3 home 3 away) - 7, 11, 9, 8, 10, 9 = 54 out of a possible 72 Cook (2 home 4 away) - 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 9 = 62 out of a possible 72 Clearly shows who is currently the better rider.
  9. No, berwick are still lining up the same way except that it R/R for Ashworth. The Preview was the way the teams were expected to line up but the official line ups are on the link that i posted in my last post.
  10. Please tell me that this post is a joke? You don't honestly think that Lawson is better than Cook?
  11. So R/R for Ashworth on Friday then. http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=1312
  12. Will probably be for Richard Lawson as he had a crash in heat 2 for lakeside at Birmingham tonight. Rode in the re-run but never came out after that.
  13. Big home win for me. Any news about Ashworth? Is he riding? Are Berwick using a guest? or going with R/R again?
  14. The problem that Andrew has is his form away from home, which lets him down big time. He will have the occasional good meeting away from home but mainly he struggled. I think he only averages about 5 away from home. Hopefully a change of track for him will hopefully improve that.
  15. Oh Dear! If i was a Glasgow fan look on the bright side you got a 5-1 in heat 15.
  16. Good win for the mighty monarchs tonight even with Derek having an off night. I think we are now safely through to the next round of the league cup can't see the bandits or the tigers beating us at Armadale.
  17. This is going to be a hard match to pick a winner from as there was only 2 points in it earlier in the season as the Bandits came out on top. Hopefully this time it will be the other way around. Teams for Saturday will probably line up like like this: Berwick 'New Holland' Bandits Ricky Ashworth David Bellego Kozza Smith Matty Wethers Robin Aspegren Alex Edberg Nicki Barrett Edinburgh ' Scotwaste' Monarchs Craig Cook Derek Sneddon Theo Pijper Max Fricke Claus Vissing Marcel Helfer Josef Tabaka
  18. What about Holder he is just as bad in what has happened here.
  19. Dyer is actually an Edinburgh asset as it says in the teams & riders section that he is a rider out on loan on the monarchs website.
  20. Sounds like the boys got of to a slow start and it didn't look to good in the first half of the meeting but as the track dried out they seemed to get better and better. Done well to get it back to 2. Now back up the road to pump these tiggers at trashfield tomorrow.
  21. Wouldn't read to much into that if you are a Lions fan most teams will come to Armadale this season and take a hammering. Think the tie is over can't see the Lions beating us by 28 tomorrow night. Monarchs Cook - miles above the rest Sneddon - done as expected Pijper - poor first ride then great from then on after Fricke - slow out the gate but that will improve but apart form that was looking quite quick Vissing - was good tonight unlucky to be excluded but right decision Helfer - if he makes the gate fine if not rides like junior Tabaka - well what can you say fantastic! his ride in heat 12 was out of the top drawer with Bjerre trying to pass Pijper and then joe reeling both them in then dive bombing bjerre going into the last bend was just great to watch! hope he is not to sore after he cleaned out the boards after trying to go around doolan in the first bend and clipping his back wheel, shame that his bikes a right off only his carb and engine in one piece after it hit the tractor. Lions Nieminen - poor was expecting more from him Graverson - no comment Bjerre - probably the most entertaining and best rider for the lions tonight and probably deserved more for for his efforts Doolon - Always rode well at Armadale and scored steadily Karlsson - was okay Nielsen - no comment Blackbird - was really slow and when he was infront in heat 14 doolan was having to shut off going down the straights so he could stay along side him
