  1. There are 3 teams out there that have a better chance of wining the league than Redcar IMO.
  2. First off all would like to congratulate redcar on their victory tonight against a miss firing monarchs side. You could say Redcar came to the dale at the right time with Davey injured and R/R for Theo but hey ho thats the way it goes. Looked like the boys in blue & gold had the match wrapped up being 12 points up after 10 heats then came along the the T.R where we lost an 8 -1 form then on it all went a bit wrong. The track played a big part in the monarchs downfall tonight as it was very slick and dusty due to the weather where there was only one pass all night (which was cook in heat 1). Gating was crucial tonight and the bears made the starts when it mattered. Only getting 7 points from R/R was a big let down when Theo would have scored double figures. But the main reason that we lost tonight was Mr Vissing what he was up to tonight was a mystery. Was on a comfortable 5 - 1 in heat 4 until he decided he was going to try and go round Max and fell off resulting in a 3 - 3 instead of a 5 - 1. His next 4 rides he looked looked liked he had never seen the place before why he got given heat 15 is a bit of a strange one as he had scored one point up to then. Special mention to Max Fricke he was fantastic to watch tonight fast, smooth and stylish and well deserved his 12+1 form his 5 rides.
  3. This week the patched up Monarchs welcome a high flying Redcar team to Armadale with former monarchs Aaron Summers, mickey Dyer and Max Dilger. Both teams will line up with their in form men in Joe Tabaka and Mickey Dyer moving into the main body of the team and Max Fricke and Carl Wilkinson moving down into the reserve berths. The monarchs will also have R/R in operation for Theo Pijper, who is on long track duty, which will be a huge miss for the boys in blue & gold as he has been good for double figures at home all season. With Mitchell Davey also missing due a broken wrist they will call upon young James Sarjeant as a guest. Hard one to predict this but can still see the monarchs taking all 3 points and winning by 10 on the night. Teams for Friday: Edinbrugh 'Scotwaste' Monarchs Craig Cook Derek Sneddon © Theo Pijper R/R Joe Tabaka Claus Vissing James Sarjeant (guest) Max Fricke Redcar Bears Ulrich Ostergaard Hugh Skidmore Matej Kus Mickey Dyer Aaron Summers © Carl Wilkinson Max Dilger
  4. Don't really see how where you are based has got to do with the Calibre of rider you sign. Mainly it is going to be down to what your club can afford to pay out on a rider without bursting the bank.
  5. I know, I know His name has been brought up about a thousand times and it probably won't be the llast time his name is mentioned. Charles Wright? Been scoring decent points in the NL and i know he isn't the best rider but he is good for 3 - 5 points a meeting which is what you want from a reserve.
  6. If you want to buy an air horn your best bet is buying them inside the stadium (if they still sell them inside) or at the official SGP merchandise stall outside the stadium where all the riders vans and things are on the 1st bend because i know they ones won't get taken off you. Even though ours got checked as entering the stadium they then got checked again by a steward when looking for our seats inside the stadium. The air horns that we have been told not to buy are he ones at they dodging looking stalls dotted around outside the stadium as they are more than likely going to get taken off you being flammable.
  7. Biggest away win against the tiggers of all time and i missed it. Out of all the matches to miss and i missed this one.
  8. Well done to the boys in blue & gold thrashing their nearest and dearest. I think glasgow need to make changes quick or you might as well give them the wooden spoon just now. To make matters worse for the tiggers captain Deek with a paid max at Ashfield. Talk about addding insult to injury.
  9. Workington's guests have made them stronger all season.
  10. Monarchs to win this won by 10 - 15 points. Can see Tabaka and Davey being the match winner for the boys in blue & gold out scoring the scorpions pairing by at least 10 points.
  11. Well done to Newcastle another good night of PL racing on sky. Kennett is supposed to be an elite league heat leader and he is riding like a premier league second string. Hope starke gets a hefty fine no need for that kind of behaviour in speedway.
  12. I don't see how this is the BSPA fault. Is it not sky who pick the matches they want to cover??
  13. Newcastle look stronger with R/R for Tully as the seem to get double figures most places andy wouldn't score near as much. Not all about being on form just now any way play-offs are the place you need to be on form as a team if you want any chance of winning the league.
  14. It was a little joke which obviously wasn't very funny or seen as very funny. The point I was tying to make was, I don't see why the promotion gave the announcement such a big build up when really it wasn't anything to get to get to excited about. But it is good to see a young Brit wanting to become an asset of a club up north rather than the other way around.
  15. All the build up for that! jeez must not get very much excitement through your way when it comes to announcements. But good result for the lions. Could be a bad couple of weeks for the tiggers at home as the mighty monarchs are there next sunday.
  16. Cook has said himself at the start of the season that he didn't want to ride in Europe this season and would be looking to ride in Europe next season instead of the Premier League.
  17. Mitchell Davey is now an Edinburgh Asset. There is your announcement
  18. MSC what on earth have you been reading??? Most things i have read we have been tipped for the top 6.
  19. Get in!!!! Well done boys great 4 points against a solid Plymouth side. Cook sounded like he was on it again tonight good back up from Theo and Claus. Special mention to Max biggest score yet plus his first win in the blue & gold! Brilliant!
  20. Can see us sneaking a point tonight but 3 points would be better. Plymouth to win 46 - 44 for me.
  21. This Friday a new look strength in depth Plymouth side come a calling to Armadale this time with Ty proctor leading the way backed up by lemon, gathercole and co. The return leg being the next day. Change at reserve for the boys in blue & gold with Marcel helfer making way (no surprise) and being replaced by former tigger Mitchell Davey after impressing during his short spell at Redcar. Monarchs to win this won comfortably by 15 to 20 points. Teams for Friday Night: Edinburgh 'Scotwaste' Monarchs Craig Cook Derek Sneddon © Theo Pijper Max Fricke Claus Vissing Mitchell Davey Jozsef Tabaka Plymouth Devils Ty Proctor Chris Schramm Mark Lemon © Ricky Kling Corey Gathercole Jake Anderson Todd Kurtz
  22. You never know Davy if you ask them nicely enough and say please and thank you. they might think about it.
  23. Well done Scott Nichols in getting the wild card for finishing second behind Tai...... Oh wait......... Never Mind
