Well what can we say about this Edinburgh team!!!! Fantastic Didn't think we would win at Berwick we did! didn't think we would win tonight we did comfortably as well against the team faniced ny most to win the league this year! thats the last time i ever doubt this team this season, thats for sure. 10 points is way better than what Derek would of got but who would of thought Cookie would of scored 10! won't be very often Worky will use a T.R at home this season! -

You clearly have never seen Richard Lawson ride Armadale then! -
Edinbrugh will travel south for the return match after a comfortable win last night at Armadale. the comets will be looking for a similar scoreline tonight but in their favour. Edinburgh will be operating R/R for sneddon who has a back injury from his crash last night his rides can be taken by the reserves, fox and Fricke which makes us a little stronger IMO. Hopefully mills will turn up on time tonight instead of around heat 7 like he did last night. Should be another cracker. Comets to win by 8. Workington Josh Grajczonek Mason Campton Ricky Wells Kyle Howarth Rene Bach Chris Mills Ashley Morris Edinburgh Craig Cook Aaron Fox Max Fricke Derek Sneddon R/R Sam Masters Justin Sedgmen Stevie Worrall

Didn't look like losing tonight solid performance once again a little blip half way through the meeting other than that looked comfortable. Though aaron was unlucky to get excluded as Campton was constantly locking up and grinding to a hault all night in the middle of the bends, but means nothing now as it hasn't effected the result in the end. Cook - tried to team ride aaron round in heat 1 but it all got a little to tight so cleared off. again untouchable aaron - made a couple of decent starts but just lacked pace Max - was fantastic tonight really looked the real deal this evening Deek - fell hurt his back and withdraw. hope he isn't out for to long Sam - had better nights but still done okay Justin - rode well, nice and solid Stevie - great again tonight struggled in his last coulpe when it got a bit slicker Josh - best i have seen him ride the dale Campton - made good starts then kept pulling massive lockers and basically stopping in the middle of corners Wells - had better nights at the dale Howarth - poor apart from the one ride when he made a gate and was all over the place infront until the he eventually fell off in spectacular style rene - expected more as he has done well before Mills - when he eventually turned up around heat 7 (god knows how he was so late) should have just stayed home Morris - still can't gate and looked a little short on speed -

Well after an unbeaten start to the season we come across our toughest tet yet the Workington Comets The team which is fancied to lift the PL title at the end of the season spearheaded by former tigger Josh Grajczonek and backed up by Bach and Wells. Weather is good for the rest of the week so no problems on that front Edinburgh to win by around 10-12 points. Expected line-ups for friday: Edinburgh Craig Cook Aaron Fox Max Fricke Derek Sneddon Sam Masters Justin Sedgmen Stevie Worrall Workington Josh Grajczonek Mason Campton Ricky Wells Kyle Howarth Rene Bach Chris Mills Ashley Morris

BSPA should have one of their "investigations" and give hall a serveral month ban! What type of person kicks another man while on the ground injured??? I know a pathetic loser who is an complete coward!!!!! Richard Hall should be ashamed of himself he hasn't just let himself down he has let down Redcar speedway and it's fans! Hope Redcar sack him for this!

Nothing better than winning a last heat decider! Brilliant stuff from the boys tonight all scored important points. 6 points behind to win by 4 great team effort. May I also add it wasn't actually that cold tonight compared to every other time i make the trip down. Berwick Doolan - was solid as expected Bellego - solid also don't know how he managed to get back into the rerun the second time around in heat 11 after trying to push derek out wide in the first corner and making a mess off it Kus - good first ride cause he made a gate other than that poor Matty - Solid as ever that 1/2 bend in heat 14 was amazing full gas right round the fence and squeezing between the monarchs boys and the fence down the back straight still trying to work out ho he managed it Vissing - good first couple of rides, beaten by cook in next 2 then went missing in heat 15 Carr - struggled Jensen - some claimed he was going to push onto an 7/8 point average no chance he was pants Edinburgh Cookie - head and shoulders above the rest so much speed it ridiculous Aaron - on the pace in his first 2 replaced in his 3rd ride then a good 3rd in his 4 ride looked far better in that race Max - Slow start but great final ride Deek - done as expected to do Masters - looked quick all night and great ride in heat 15 sedgmen - great first ride then looked down on power after that Worrall - what can you say lightning from the starts and fast and smooth then after. definate trump card for us this season

Well that was a lot easier than expected 30 point win but will be a different story tomorrow though. Solid performance only one last place all night and that because Max fell off in the first bend in heat 15! Track staff done well to get the meeting on. Track was a bit tricky to start with but got better as the meeting went on. Cook - fast as ever apart from when he got beat by Vissing he was all over the place in that race Aaron - looked like the couple of days at Cookies done him the world of good made some decent starts and scored in all his races unlucky when he wsa on a 5-1 and made a mess of the bend Max - was fantastic tonight very sharp out of the starts tonight (veryunlike him) unlucky not to get his paid maximum when he lost a chain in the forst bend and done a wee 360. Derek - solid as ever Sam - Didn't have the best of nights but still scored solid points Justin - Looked very fast tonight. was impressed with him again tonight Worrall - gates like his brother these days and very quick again Doolan - Had better nights round the dale Bellego - honking Kus - even worse Matty - done as expected Vissing - Made a couple of gates and had a good win over Cookie even though craig through away the lead not once but twice by trying to fence himself Carr - struggled Jensen - rode round the air fence all night to no avail -

Could be a wet one tomorrow folks with a good amount of rain fallen over the week and it's supossed to rain over night as well until around 10/11 o'clock in the morning. Hopefully the track staff though can work their magic and produce a decent racing surface. If any one is interested Edinburgh have started doing a podcast on Saturday Mornings about the previous nights racing and Wednesdays as well about the meetings coming up. Good listen IMO. http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/podcasts/ -

Didn't expect us to wim today but i suppose some things never change another monarchs win at ashfeild! Wolbert - poor Berge - got better as the meeting went on Harrison - rolled back the years today. with some great riding Lemon - Average Pijper - didn't have his best meeting Lykke - done what he was signed to do Thomsen - can't gate t save himself but trys like a bear and rides the fence. very entertaining Mighty monarch/team smug Cook - untouchable Fox - looked good in his first one until went to wide and got passed then after had bike problems (again) for the rest of the meeting Max - looked quick tonight and even made a couple of gates Deek - had a stinker. mainly down to having bike problems all afternoon Masters - very good back up to Cookie this afternoon looked quick in all his races and great first turn in 15 Sedgmen - looked a bit down on pace today apart from the race he won Worrall - fantastic didn't look like getting beat today very quick out of the starts. Unlucky to lose out on his maximum to thomsen on the ling but was a great pass by the dane. Could be the trump card for us this year if he keeps going like that. But on a sour note he wrecked his bike after the race when he crashed into the fence. Was actual some good racing today (i know shock) Harrisons pass around the outside on bends 3/4 on Max and Justin was superb Max looked to his left and didn't realise Rusty was on his outside and by the time he did it was to late. then thomsen on Sedgmen same bend last lap to take third riding around the fence another great ride. the race with Worrall and thomsen was another great race thomsen hunting worrall down for 4 laps then getting him on the run to the line to take the win. Very enjoyable afternoon at ashfeild hopefully more of the same on our next visit.
