  1. So we start our league cup campaign against the workington comets. Both teams should be at full strength for this one. Teams for Friday. Edinburgh Craig Cook Justin Sedgmen Kevin Wolbert Erik Riss Sam Masters Max Clegg Rob Branford Workington Kenneth Hansen Ricky Wells Rene Bach Rusty Harrison Kyle Howarth Nicki Barrett Victor Palovaara Think it will be a home victory but a close one. Hansen, Wells and Bach can all score points round the Dale and Howarth and Harrison can also win races on their day. Hopefully Erik can get score some points and Kevin now with his new engines can get out the gate this week. edit - Palovaara replaces greaves (injured)
  2. Reading on facebook that Voldrih has broken his leg in Slovenia today. Shame for the guy only recently started his britsh career.
  3. Just over 3 hours to run a meeting not bad just as well it was a nice day! Well done to Berwick on their hard earned point seems the weegies aren't as good as some think they are.
  4. Must proof read before posting. I was having great evening wathcing your lot taking a gubbing until the tide changed. Was not pleased in the slightest.
  5. Was in the area earlier in the day so I thought I would pop along and see some speedway. Wish I hadn't It was horrible to watch. Berwick started well by getting out the gate but second half of the meeting was a different story Glasgow started trapping and even if a Berwick rider was faster there was no chance you were going to pass anyone. The track was so slick and bare it was ridiculous.
  6. thats trophy number 1 retained. good nights racing considering it was the first of the season. Cookie, Sam and sedgy as expected. Wolbert, Rob and Max once they get their gating sorted they will be fine got the speed just couldn't get out the tonight. Riss was promising wasn't off the pace and got round the track smoothly. Once all the boys get the gating sorted and Erik gets going most teams will take a beating When the tigers come back for real stuff we will give them a good beating.
  7. It's a bit of banter and he certainly got a few bites from it as well.
  8. So after Sundays nonsense we move onto the 2nd leg at Armadale. We have a 6 point gap to pull back if we want to retain one of our many trophies. Even with al the good things happening along in the west just now with the new owners etc they still can't make an appearance at Armadale without fielding a full team as usual they will field the select side. Hansen, S.Worrall and Perks will replace Lawson, Morris and Serjeant. Hopefully the weather will be kind and that we have plenty of spare air bags with Kozza smith in town. Edinbrugh to win by 12. Teams for Friday: Edinburgh Craig Cook © Justin Sedgmen Kevin Wolbert Erik Riss Sam Masters Max Clegg Rob Branford Glasgow 'select' Kenneth Hansen (G) Dimitri Berge Aaron Summers © Kozza Smith Stevie Worrall (G) Victor Palovaara Ellis Perks (G)
  9. That said sponsor wasn't even there on Sunday matter of fact he wasn't even in the country. he was doing a bit of fishing and Craig bit big time
  10. I think he has taken your comment the wrong way hence his reaction but hopefully when he sees you and your son next he will appologize and everyone can move on from this. BTW hope ryan has a good season at Stoke came a long since the first time i seen him round armadale.
  11. I'm not defending him what he said was out of order but you were looking for a reaction of him and you got one albeit out of order.
  12. If you had one heat 1 craig would you still have moaned i don't think so just wear more tear offs next time with a couple of laughing faces at the end was your exact words. You were looking for a reply and got one. yes there was no need to bring your son into and he apologized for that but you were looking for a reaction and you got one. Anyway lets leave it at that and move on.
  13. "Monarchs co-promoter John Campbell today said: “There were special circumstances that meant the match had to go ahead. But there wouldn’t have been many league matches that would have taken place in such conditions. But Glasgow, for obvious reasons, wanted the match on.” From today's EEN As john Campbell says it wouldn't have went ahead if it was a normal meeting. A glasgow club official even told an edinbrugh fan that the meeting would have been off any other week but they decided to run it anyway. Lets not consider riders safety as we need to show off our fancy new stadium.
  14. Just because Cook took to twitter to moan about the track doesn't mean he was the only rider moaning.riders from both sides didn't really want to ride
  15. the only thing negative about today was the track the meeting shouldn't have started. if it wasn't for the new owners and all the changes and improvement it wouldn't have went ahead.
  16. threatened! blobby is not worried about what glasgow will do this season. they might be better than last year but they will still finish below us.
  17. Neither team really wanted to ride they only did becuase of all the work that had been done for the start of the season and due to the size of the crowd that was their to watch. Must admit though stadium is looking good is wonderful what a lick of paint can do must of been around 1,500 there today.
  18. there is a difference between water on the track an it being waterlogged. today it was waterlogged. riders having to take there goggles of after only a lap and half due to not being able to see shouldn't happen
  19. Not at all nobody was seriously hurt witch is the main thing. Visabilty was poor track was heavy and hard to turn the bike. Shouldn't have started.
