  1. At the start of the season i'm pretty confident they wouldn't have put the team together if they felt it would put the club at serious risk of not running the following season.
  2. Gates open at 6 but they will probably open shortly before that as that's what has happened the last few weeks and yes the Bar will be open at the same time. I'm done arguing as we just seem to keep going round in circles here. Mon the monarchs lets hammer this lot and send them on their way back down the M8.
  3. Yes they did ride both on Friday but the clubs were more than 30 miles away from each other then. Our promotion want to win trophies as they have stated and will not make a team that they do not think is capable of winning the league.
  4. Not at all Edinburgh as a club wouldn't even consider riding on the same night as our nearest rivals. It's more principle than anything else. They now want fans to boycott Armadale as a result of this disagreement again Edinburgh wouldn't sink to such a level. The new owners bully tactics are quite frankly not on and as a club we will not lie down to them as we are better than that. They seem to think they can throw their money around and get what they want well they will soon learn that ain't going to happen that's for sure. Also other things they have done through out the season has been shocking and lacking class. For example evicting a rider from his flat and leaving him on the streets.
  5. They seem to think cause they have a bit of money they can do what they want and when they don't the toys go out the pram. pathetic really.
  6. The track was quite wet and a few around me on the fourth bend had the same opinion and with the cold conditions it became very icy quickly. I would say cook and sarjeant crashes were down to this as they both went fast and wide into the 3rd bend and due to the icy and wet conditions there was nothing there to hold the bikes up hence both back ends spinning out and both them sliding into the fence.
  7. I know that Sam and Justin were saying it was difficult at times with the lack of light at certain areas of the track. Maybe they just need to eat a few more carrots.
  8. I've not got a problem with the track as such it was the poor lighting that is what's annoying as the track wasn't fully lit witch is dangerous. For a team that wants to move to night racing i think you need a few more lights before doing that.
  9. Not just heat 2 what they do for the rest of the night as well IMO. Their reserves scored 16+2 compared to our 3+1.
  10. The track was wet and the lighting was poor it could do with a few more as the track was awful dark and and few of the boys said it was as dark as it looked out there. but it's the same for both teams and your boys rode it better. I think you will just don't feel like we are riding well enough at the moment to pull it back.
  11. So no summers or Branford for tonight. Edinburgh will use Liam Carr in place of rob. Glasgow will use Theo pijper in place of kauko nieminen and will operate R/R for summers. Personally not got a good feeling about tonight for some reason. Hopefully I'm wrong.
  12. The letter is basically saying Glasgow fans should boycott Edinburgh. Is that right?
  13. Agreed just had to get that off my chest. Thought your boys pulled together well after the Summers crash as i thought we would go on to win the meeting at that point personally. But after that we were rubbish and you rightly deserve your lead.
  14. That has got to be the worst we have ridden since the Glasgow match at home. We are lucky we are only 7 down as we got let of big time IMO. The atmosphere was quality in a packed house witch was great to see also. Hopefully Summers isn't to badly hurt as it was a nasty one he took. Branford also hopefully he can take his place for tomorrow. Could do with a few more lights for the track as it wasn't lit very well at all. As for the Facennas letter that was getting handed out at the end. Laughable, they applied for Friday night and because they are within 30 miles of each other we can object to that and we rightly did as it could effect our income with fans that travel to both venues. Then they come out with all this rubbish that they don't believe that and we are deliberately trying to hinder their financial income, restrict their fan base and limit their ability to sign top riders. then then went onto say that will no longer attend Armadale as they do not want to help fund Edinburgh with one penny of their own money (Aye very good you don't even to pay anyway.) as they feel as if we are effecting their income and growth. After reading that letter and the other pety things they have done tonight they have gone down in my estimations even with all the good work they have done.
  15. i think there will be a few of the same opinion. If they were on the fence on who will win it might of swayed a few votes your way.
  16. agreed both stadiums should be packed and the atmosphere should be even better than the LC final. Will be hoping for the same outcome as that as well mind you. Can't bear the thought of losing this and if we do you won't see me on here till the start of next season i'll be going into hiding.
  17. Well in that case yes we are so good. We just can't help it these days.
  18. Come half 9 tomorrow night na scrap that it's a glasgow match so god knows what time of the night the meeting will end. I'll happily take a 6 point loss as I feel we are more than capable of pulling that back on Saturday. Or we could just go and win tomorrow i'd prefer that really. Onto Saturday. Wee Stew changing the riding order thinking it will work again. But he seems to forget we were terrible that night, not now though peeked at the right time. Anyway monarchs win overall. Can't wait for it all to start now.
  19. The cook and sedgy partnership shouldn't be broken up as it's got us so many 5-1's. Erik will be fine more than capable of beating Palovaara. I think they both need to declare their line ups 3 days in advance of the meeting. But not entirely sure.
  20. Teams for Friday night: Glasgow Richard Lawson Kauko Nieminen R/R Nick Morris Victor Palovaara Aaron Summers Hynek Stichauer James Sarjeant Edinburgh Craig Cook Justin Sedgmen Kevin Wolbert Erik Riss Sam Masters Max Clegg Rob Branford
  21. Would rather our boys were out riding than sitting in all week off the the bike IMO
  22. Video of the final. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LXcwdRfufI&feature=youtu.be&app=desktop
  23. Has to be R/R can't get a guest. Morris, palovaara and the reserves get a ride witch makes a Glasgow a better team.
