Surely it's Glasgow denying our fans the chance by trying to have the meeting on the Friday knowing we ride on a Friday no?
-
Seems the brothers have gone in a huff again. It doesn't actually say anywhere in the statement that you can't ride on the Friday. Just says we've objected to it. The BSPA will more than likely reject it IMO as we have that date down as reserved. On the other hand you could of choose a different day yet you choose a Friday. After what happened previously why pick a day knowing that it might cause a problem.
-
That will be because we don't have meeting pencilled in for that week.

http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=2304 Doesn't seem as bad as what was made out.

It was owned by the Cochrane family, who bought the stadium 3 years ago. Over that time they had done slight improvements to make things better and had become fans off the speedway also, even attending some away matches.
-
Not really been coming for while. It's just a case of waiting to see what happens now.

The owners of Armadale Stadium have indicated they will undertake a public consultation on a proposal to change the use of the land to residential. The consultation will take place at the stadium on 18 April from noon to 8pm. This was posted by a local politician of the armadale area in last half an hour not exactly the news you want to here with the season only a month away.

Foreign Based Team Gb Training At Last

So do we have any idea who the riders attending this are yet? -
All is well.

Lighten up folks it was a joke not a dig. That's rich coming from someone who only seems to post about what he's heard from his mole.

Pipped is that what a hammering is called these days

To be fair to Craig he asked not to be picked in the World Cup team as he felt he wasn't performing well enough to do well for his team. So we can put that one to bed. -
We've been doing it at Edinburgh for a couple of seasons now and it works well. Cheaper than paying at the gate anyway. You can either print your ticket at home or you can scan your phone also. Incase of a rain off you can either use your ticket again for another Match or send your ticket to the club for a refund if you wanted one and a full refund will be sent back out to you. It's a good thing to have about time clubs started moving into the 21sr century.

So we open our season against the belle vue aces on the 2nd April. No zagar for the Aces but they will turn up with a top five of Cook, Nicholls, Fricke and both Worralls. Should be good to see some old faces, probably get hammered mind you but should be a good night.

I totally agree but for someone who hasn't raced in the league before and are being given a chance to prove themselves they're pushing their luck a bit asking for a decent amount of money up front before they even turn a wheel IMO
-
Don't think Mitchell will be asking for a few grand to sign unlike some NL riders.
-
When your paying your new NL reserve more than some heat leaders in the league it's not exactly that hard.
-
all good in well writing a big list of riders that are apparently being done out of a place. 1. Some simply aren't good enough 2. Some priced themselves out big style 3. Some won't be able to travel all the way up here on a Friday

Come on gaz surely your not trying to tell us that your increased crowds had nothing to do with the fact that you now have millionaire owners and a team that has actually started winning. Pretty sure there would of been plenty of new glory hunting fans at Ashfield last season.
-
I'm talking about just running costs per meeting that's not including the stadium refurbishment.
-
Pretty sure even with Those increased crowds in the west a loss was still made for the season.
