Edinburgh Vs Berwick Fri 8th

Walk over our bottom 4. Only Pijper and Carr will out score their opposite numbers so would hardly say walk over. Our top 3 will more than likely out score theirs by a far greater margin. Home win by 12. -

I don't think we'll win anything this year but I still think we'll make the top 6. I see this year as more of a rebuilding year with us looking to 2017 with guys like Etheridge, Riss, Clegg and Bewley. The last two season have been more than anyone could of asked for and you need to enjoy those moments while we can (you know being extremely smug about everything) as you know they aren't going to last forever. -

I don't understand how people are righting us of after our first match of the season away to what is a good Glasgow side. We had someone who rode his first ever meeting in this country and another riding only his second ever meeting. Don't know what people were expecting. -

Hard to judge on todays performance with 2/3 not at the races at all. Give it another few weeks till the season gets going a bit and then will probably have a better idea of how the season is going to pan out. -

First of all congrats to em them on the win, i know a win against us doesn't happen very often so enjoy while it lasts. With it being our first match of the season not that bothered about the result, but would of been nice to keep it a little closer than what it was. Sam lead the way like a true number 1. Jye got better as the meeting went on just needs some time. Was unlucky with his exclusion IMO and just rode to tight a line when passed by Garcia. The Germans had the speed but were so poor from the gate it made no difference. The Fish seemed a bit rusty and hitting the tapes and getting a puncture while 3rd didn't help either. Max was very poor should be beating people like Ayres and Garcia IMO. Young Dan seemed to struggle a little at times but will improve with time. Roll on Friday. -

Surely this has to be in doubt with all the rain over the last 24 hours plus I believe it's been raining all morning also. Or is going to be like the opener last year that shouldn't have ran -

Not all I think you'll win by around 12-15 points. Jye and dan will struggle to score, so that just leaves it up to the other 5 to score the points, which is will be a tough ask. -

Not expecting much tomorrow to be honest. Jye and Dan will probably struggle to score and with a few boys not had a meeting yet this year as well. Should be a fairly comfortable home win. -

Could be a long night tomorrow going by the aces performance Tonight. -
After a long winter we finally get our season under way. Rather than the mob along the M8 opening the season we have the Aces of the EL coming to join us. Unfortunately for us Sam and Max are riding for wolves in the EL, so we've drafted in Ricky wells and Theo pijper as cover. Theo will ride in the main body of the team with Jye dropping to reserve for this one. For the aces no zagar with Matt Williamson coming in at reserve and Steve Worrall moving into the top 5. Personally think we will have done well if we score 35 points against what is a strong belle Vue side. Line ups for Friday Edinburgh 1. Ricky Wells 2. Theo Pijper 3. Kevin Wolbert 4. Erik Riss 5. Ryan Fisher 6. Jye Etheridge 7. Dan Bewley Belle Vue 1. Craig Cook 2. Steve Worrall 3. Max Fricke 4. Ritchie Worrall 5. Scott Nicholls 6. Joe Jacobs 7. Matt Williamson

It's fine, plenty of league winners on show though. Just the 7 actually. -
