I can't see it being as close as some suggest. Can see us scoring around what we did at Sheffield and Workington. -
Edinburgh V Sheffield Ch 2/6/17 @ 7.30pm
Mr Blobby replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
well we tried our best to chuck that meeting away with some strange refereeing decisions in the mix as well. Think Sheffield can find themselves rather fortunate to come away with a point. Davey falling in heat 2 while on a 4-2 ending in a 3-3. Kurtz with the flier of the season in heat 8 his only point of the night. The poor decision of heat 12 were the ref decided to exclude Riss who had to take avoiding action of the out of control Bjerre resulting in a 1-5 and Sam falling off in heat 13 while on a 3-3 resulting in 2-4. Besides that still a very enjoyable nights racing on another sunny night at Armadale. -
So Sheffield are back again and were impressive visitors on there last visit need to be on it from the start. Monarchs by 10. Teams for tonight: Edinburgh 1. Sam Masters 2. Mark Riss 3. Erik Riss 4. Josh Pickering R/R 5. Ricky Wells 6. Max Clegg 7. Mitchell Davey Sheffield 1. Aaron Summers (G) 2. Todd Kurtz 3. Lasse Bjerre 4. James Sarjeant (G) 5. Kyle Howarth 6. Rob Branford 7. Ryan McDonald (G)

Seen him at Workington the other week he was more competitive but still refuses to move off the white line into the wider faster line. Out of our two reserves can see Mitchell being the stronger of the two. Can see us matching Sheffields top 5 but we'll get the tigers reserves will have the upper hand and will take them through to the next round.

Grippy track and basically didn't fancy it one bit.

Edinburgh V Peterborough Ch 26/5/17 @ 7.30pm
Mr Blobby replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not long till chris Harris will be in that Peterborough side. Cause currently on tonights performance they were awful. Holder was rather embarrassing was out of control couldn't get to grips with the track and just basically couldn't be bothered going back out again. Other than starke and Wilson dean the rest were shocking. -
Well certainly no concerns weather wise with it to be 20+ degrees tomorrow. Unfortunately however no Mark Riss and his place can only be taking by a NL rider and Luke Ruddick will fill that spot. For the panthers no Ostergaard and R/R will be in place for him. Could be a potentially banana skin if a couple of the boys don't perform and with BWD at reserve for the panthers anything could happen. Teams for Friday Edinburgh 1. Ricky Wells 2. Luke Ruddick (G) 3. Erik Riss 4. Josh Pickering 5. Sam Masters 6. Max Clegg 7. Mitchell Davey Peterborough 1. Jack Holder 2. Ulrich Ostergaard R/R 3. Paul Starke 4. Simon Lambert 5. Kenneth Hansen 6. Bradley Wilson Dean 7. Tom Bacon

Good to see Mitchell continuing his good form with a maximum tonight for stoke.

Workington V Edinburgh 21/05/17 7:30pm Champ
Mr Blobby replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We done well to stay in it after once again a poor start to the meeting. Hopefully this doesn't continue to become a problem. Thought heat 8 was poor decision looked like campton realised he wasn't getting over the top of them of gate 4 and just put it down. Expected slightly better from mark and Ricky but a fantastic performance from Mitchell at reserve was unlucky not to have two race wins as was winning heat 8 as well until it came to a vault. Williamson impressed for the comets might no have been overly quick but was sharp out the gate and rode a good line. -

Don't think we'll get anything from this but you never know. Think comets to win this by 12. -

Solid performance from the team even with Erik and Josh struggling a bit. Very impressed with Ashley Morris last night sharp out the gate and no slouch either, deserved his heat 15. Max Clegg with ride of the night in heat 11 take a bow. -

Well he was meant to be. Seems the BSPA have changed their mind last minute. Thomas Jorgensen takes his place -
The Newcastle diamonds the visitors this week, were we will be looking to put another 3 points on the board. Little changed in the riding order again with Mark Riss going to 2 and josh going to 4. The diamonds will be without Robert lambert and his place is taken by Aaron Summers. Newcastle will be no pushovers with their top 4 all capable of Winning races and backed up by former monarch in Morris. Can see us winning this one by 10. Teams for Friday: Edinburgh 1. Ricky Wells 2 Mark Riss 3. Erik Riss 4. Josh Pickering 5. Sam Masters 6. Max Clegg 7. Mitchell Davey Newcastle 1. Aaron Summers (G) 2. Ashley Morris 3. Lewis Rose 4. Ludvig Lindgren 5. Stevie Worrall 6. Ben Hopwood 7. Connor Coles

Cracking result shame we couldn't hold on for the win. Different class from max Clegg just what he needed. Hopefully that's him back to his old self now. Hope josh isn't to banged up after his crash. -

Pickering fell when on a 4-2 in heat 1. Wells chain came off at the start in his 3rd ride after winning his first 2 easily. The result could of went either way. -

Taking nothing away from Glasgow they deserved their 2 points last night they scored solid throughout the side and rode well. The track this year however has been different compared to any other year it's far to slick this year. even the race times this year are 1/2 seconds slower than previous years. Cause he fell off it. -

A draw a fair result. It seem just now and hearing from a few of the boys that they feel like they have no home track advantage at the moment and it's to easy for the away sides at the moment to ride with it being so slick. Hopefully the track staff can address the problems that have been brought up and get the track back to it's normal standard of racing. -

Anyway onto the actual meeting. With us not performing at our best at the moment can see Glasgow getting a point. All depends what summers and bewley turns up for the tigers. That will decide how many league points they leave the dale with. -

It's just a small seated area mainly aimed at familys. It's right at the entrance to the 3rd bend so your home comforts are safe.
