Edinburgh Monarchs Vs Poole Pirates 29th May 2026
Mr Blobby replied to Bitza's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Unexpected win last night. Came down to Rushen struggling with the tighter turns of Armadale where he can’t just twist the throttle and Mitch Cluff putting in a superb performance last night. He’s improved massively round the dale to the guy who couldn’t turn round the place first few weeks, fair play to him. -

The usuals starting earlier with the not keen on Armadale and not sure we’ll win. If you genuinely don’t think Poole will win tomorrow you’re on drugs. Tate huge upgrade on Bowes who would struggle to beat any of the NDL team as can’t get round the place compared to Tate who will be good for about 6 points. Top 5 should be pretty even but the Poole reserves will clean up no bother all all. -

Another thumping tonight as well. Where’s Albitt for the Tigers? Case of he couldn’t be arsed today? Won’t be the first or last time. -

Wonder if Stewart is starting to regret bringing Gilkes back in for Thompson already. -
“At Oxford on Wednesday 13th May despite Cooper being involved in 2 incidents on track, he continued to ride and was not withdrawn from the meeting or received any medical documentation from the Oxford medical team.” “So having not received any medical documentation from Oxford on the Wednesday” These two parts do come across as If he’s putting some form of blame on them, but it’s not on Oxford medical team to withdraw him if he’s chosen to continue to ride. It’s also on him if he’s not went and got a document signed by the doctor at the end of the night to say he had received an injury during the meeting. So really it’s his own fault, even though the rule is a bit daft in situations like this.

Don’t understand why the track was so bad last night, weather has been fine. Don’t normally get it wrong but they did big time. Hopefully the last time this happens. Went as expected last night. Team done well overall. shout out to Mitch been very critical of him and rightly so but he has got better last few home matches and deserved his score last night. Jordy one good ride followed by a few stinkers. Paco absolutely awful. Ever since his crash been very poor and needs to improve.

Edinburgh v Workington Championship 8th May 7.30pm

Strange night thought we were comfortable without being very good, threw away a couple of points too. Probably should’ve been a bigger lead but should still be there or thereabouts for the bonus point as our bottom 3 go fairly well round worky.
