  1. Nielsen won in 86 87 and 89 It’s perfectly feasible that if the GP series was about he would have won in 84,85,88, 91 93 and 94 plus the first GP series he could have had 10 titles he was that dominant Sure he lost in run offs a few times but over a 10 meeting series he would have been top 4-6 every meeting and a likely winner of all of the above years Zmarzlik is the best….. but in a one off meeting he is beatable same as Hans was …. But because he is the best he is easily the most consistent
  2. People dismissing Zmarzlik really don’t have any idea He is the best around and he does have opposition he is just better Back in the days of the ones off world final you only had a few riders capable of winning it if the Gp series was around in the 80’s Nielsen would have won far more as over a series he was far more consistent then Erik would have been The GP series suits Zmarzlik he is the best out there and will always make semis and finals …. Back in the 80’s Nielsen would have done the same and won many titles ….. how many world titles would Zmarzlik have had if it was a one off final …. One maybe two??? He is the best in the world ….not by miles by the best ….. if there was a one off world final we could have had Laguta , Jack Holder , Lindgren , Vaculik and even Madsen as one off champions Zmarzlik is the best but the GP system shows that even more so for him
  3. Either the track is dangerous or it isn’t I’ve seen GP’s (Berlin 2001) … play off matches (Poole v Belle Vue) as examples where the meeting carried on and was far far worse than tonight I remember England v Australia at Foxhall (1989?) torrential rain and we stopped for an hour and got the track rideable … this doesnt happen these days
  4. Irrelevant I’ve seen many meetings in the 40 years I’ve watched Speedway where it’s poor wet conditions The sport is just in the doldrums and all of these farcical rain offs just help hammer the nail in
  5. Watered the track before the start with rain forecast who decides that!!! The track was rideable look at Emil and Ellis …. Seen many meetings back in the 80’s and 90’s with sawdust down and riders struggling but it carried on Today most riders are too precious … kind of sums up society in a way
  6. Abandoned absolute pathetic decision…. The sport is finished if we going to call meetings off like this
  7. Nope it’s all about the mindset and unfortunately a lot of riders wimp out these days
  8. No they wouldn’t we have a team of racers and committed guys not people like Tungate who cries at the slightest problem ….. bet Bomber doesn’t mind
  9. Tungate being a big girls blouse why do the Aussies throw in the towel if conditions aren’t the best both Holders, Batch, Schlein all cut from the same cloth … at least we got Doyle who will race in anything Get on with it and stop moaning this is cringeworthy to see… back in the day the riders got on with it
  10. Disgusting by Oxford trying to get this abandoned because they are losing … Tungate pathetic
  11. 16 from the guests which is probably 4 less then Doyle or Danny would have got between them and Emil still struggling Though we can’t judge it to much against a side who are beaten before they come to Foxhall …
  12. Lambert not made the top 6 is brilliant …. Now let’s hope Tai goes out … Brennan deserves this hope he holds his nerve
  13. Friends of mine went to the final at Sheffield and the home support directly swore at their 7 year old daughter … not chants and banter but foul mouth verbal abuse… so much so that she feels scared to even go to Ipswich now in case an away fan scares her Add in that Sheffield have the 3 biggest whingers in the league then I have ever right to want us to absolutely thrash them and their vile set of fans ( not all but the ones who think telling a child to eff off and shut her cakehole those morons )
  14. Let’s just hope that mercenary lambert and tai don’t win this
  15. And there lies in my point If Max is getting 1 or 2 points a week and Foord is only getting 3 or 4 is there really a need to sack Perry?
  16. Poole are quite clearly the hot favourites to win the league they have built up a strong team as always and will no doubt be top What I don’t like is time and time again they bin off a Brit for no real reason …. Poole are winning matches and often comfortably… if Max is only scoring 1 or 2 but you winning then why move him on?? Is this Foord going to bang in match changing scores like 6 or 7 or will it just be 3 and 4 which in all fairness you are better off giving young Max the opportunity …. He had a horror crash last season and he needs time to come back from that and the fact he is racing at a higher level …… if Poole are simply going to sack him this early in the season then they shouldn’t have signed him at all .. did they expect him to come back and get 6 or 7 every week…. Sorry I think it’s poor
  17. I’d like to think we can see them off as we have Bomber guesting again and the Holder brothers are big girls blouses when it comes to Foxhall and Tai is badly out of form Edwards tends to go well at our place as does Josh so could be tight
  18. An easy win and a nightmare night for Emil Big thanks for Harris and Masters did brilliantly … Ellis looked good if a bit rusty Rew on fire and good to see Jordan mixing it as well hopefully he has turned a corner and 4 points a meeting from him is what’s needed Let’s hope we get the Doyle position filled soon as I don’t think we can win the league with a guest each week
  19. As an Ipswich fan congrats to Kings Lynn ….. any team that beats a team with the Holder brothers and Tai in I’m pleased for as they aren’t exactly my favourite people lol If Tobi is back then you guys may pull it off and hope you do
  20. What an awful place to watch your speedway Seems like Pooles new signing isn’t going to be better than the rider he replaced …. Poole love to put young Brits on the scrap heap
