Borefest so far at Sheffield … gate and go …. Fast tracks are fine but the racing gets to spaced out … trying to stay awake -

All 4 of Ipswich guests are vastly inferior to the rider they are replacing … just shows how tough we have it tonight -

You talk a load of old bull I know they tried and tried to get someone for Doyle …. Dudek was all agreed and then blocked last minute Doyle and Emil are irreplaceable…. Your only gripe can be that we built the team top heavy … a team like Leicester could cover Fricke How would Belle Vue cope without Bewley Kurtz and Lidsey like we have with Doyle Emil and Ellis …. Then they lose Ben Cook like we did Danny who still isn’t 100%….. then they lose Blodorn like we did Dan Thompson?? You are one of those fickle fans who can only moan moan moan …. Our promotion built a top side only to see it decimated and you blame them for it all We have been hugely unlucky and we just have to admit that and move on We Explored every avenue to replace Doyle and couldn’t and I know this for a fact So do us true Ipswich supporters a favour and stop posting drivel and rubbish -

Poole Pirates Vs Workington Comets Bsn semi final
Gavan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Why was it not unexpected what a weird comment You thrashed Oxford earlier in the season you broke 60 points!!!! Only changes was Hook for Perry and Starke for Atkins Yiu hadn’t lost for how many matches?? Especially at home Yes the 60 pointer was early season but still that’s a huge turnaround so I’ve no idea why Poole expected to lose it makes no sense -
You are on a wind up surely It’s not just Ipswich top 2 missing it’s the best 2 riders in the whole league totally irreplaceable R/R for Ipswich scored 5 and Bewley for Emil scored 10 from 6 and Troy got 6 from 5 replacing Ellis….. that’s 21 points when you would expect Doyle Emil and Ellis to get a minimum of 3 and a win for Ipswich Also why did we do what the holder brothers wanted and bladed the track …. They can’t ride tricky tracks and we slickened it off for them Must give credit to Simon stead as after the meeting we stood by the pits and my daughter was holding my 6 week old granddaughter and he came up talked to the baby asked lots of questions and chatted for 5 minutes when he clearly knew we was Ipswich fans … much respect to him

One thing is for certain we would have won this with Doyle and Emil and Ellis but those are the breaks

Poole Pirates Vs Oxford Cheetahs 14/8/24
Gavan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Poole fans are so so fickle it’s laughable You have Sam Hagon signed on a 2.56 as a reserve and Thomsen on a 4….. both are averaging more and the reason you have done well is these 2 have over performed and Ben Cook has progressed in this league to a number 1 almost Hagon and Thomsen have dipped slightly and it’s all doom and gloom as if you expect these guys to score 6 and 7 each meeting Lawson getting 7 and Brennan being beat by Killeen didn’t help but seems these 2 are exempt from criticism … much easier to aim the flack and Hagon and Thomsen -

Gavan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pooles team was built top heavy relying on them to do the baulk of the scoring and when they don’t like Lawson and Z Cook last night they will struggle Hagon was signed as a 2 pointer for gods sake and is way above his average yet some of you are disappointed in him Thomsen is what he is a 4 pointer and your number 7 was always going to be an issue Surely Poole can’t choke 2 seasons running -

Hagon is a 2 pointer so what are you expecting from him -
Poole Pirates vs Scunthorpe Scorpions 7th August
Gavan replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
… The Cook brothers , Lawson and Brennan carry the team…. Most of your away wins are because one of Hagon or Thomsen has had a blinder and scored way above their average especially Hagon early on …. Now that Hagon and Thomsen are scoring their average then Poole will struggle when the top boys don’t get double figures -

Gavan replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pooles team is built top heavy with 4 heat leaders so when that top 4 don’t score 40 Poole will struggle Joke to blame Hagon and the reserves they will never score loads that’s not how the team is built …. The cook brothers scored 7 each and that’s not enough to win a match -

Hagon keeping his average nice an low so as not to rule himself out next season -

Everyone has wished Emil well suggest you try reading it And yes the actions of Jack last night were awful so quite rightly he is getting stick from all supporters not just Ipswich fans and no he wasn’t to blame for the crash And your ‘track’ argument is frankly pathetic Ipswich isn’t the best racing track and that’s my club and I can admit that Sheffield usually provides better racing …. But last night the track staff made no attempt to blade the dirt back off of the high line …. Chris Holder backed off because he was stuck out there … Emil didn’t as he was trying to win the meeting …. Some on here have said the track is dangerous but I don’t agree with that but last night they should have done more to make the track safer that was obvious from an early stage -

Absolutely he wasn’t to blame …. But his actions all night was shocking -

I have wished him all the best on other forums … he is a Foxhall legend and has been the best rider in the league for 2 seasons and has been behind other top riders coming back over including Tai Sorry to have rattled your cage but most posts on here from non Ipswich fans will tell you what people think of him ….. got beat fair and square and refused to shake hands then wants to go and have words after Emils crash … sorry the bloke is a tool……. And yes it doesn’t shock me that some of your fans were shouting at Emil after the crash …. I witnessed first hand how some ( not all ) Sheffield supporters can be and it’s not pleasant ….. so please forgive me that I would rather any club then Sheffield win the league And if I have to say it again to appease you all the best to our star man and a breath of fresh air to. British speedway hope he is back this season -

Don’t dare slag off the Sheffield fans … I saw first hand my friends 8 year old daughter subjected to vile abuse last seasons Not blaming Holder one bit for the crash …. But his reaction earlier in the meeting was childish and then to try and have a word with Emil after the crash is awful behaviour Praying that our season isn’t over -

This just shows we shouldn’t be worried about Sheffield … no number one and his rides get only 5…… and the Holder brothers can’t ride Foxhall and are usually shown up by Pickering who gives 110% every time at our place Win or lose tonight I’m more worried about Belle Vue then Sheffield -

Jack Holder …. What a spoilt brat ….. what with him his brother and Tai it’s has to be the most whingiest team in the league ….. Go find your dummy Jack -
Racing is better by a long way in the prem so don’t be daft Did you prefer seeing Holder and Ward or Lawson and Brennan and that’s not being disrespectful to either of those two Poole won the top league many times and the racing back then was far superior than now though to be fair I do enjoy watching Ben Cook

Gavan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oh they will it will be the best meeting ever Poole fans only care about winning they don’t care if it’s all from the gate and racers can’t make a pass like Cook and Harris have shown tonight that when you’re behind you stay behind … Poole are dialled in to the track and the set up .. makes the gate can’t be caught … yawn
