Vinnie Foord - is he too dangerous?
Gavan replied to BackInTheDHSS's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So it’s ok for Foord to celebrate when an ambulance was on for Killeen He is a loser and will go nowhere with his attitude …. Modern day Bridger -

If you support Poole and don’t agree with the following then you are not a speedway fan Foord should have been excluded … he is simply a danger on a bike and his and his family’s reactions were disgraceful…. If you condone that that’s shocking Boughen rightfully was excluded with Zach Cook …. Bet you Poole numpties agree there Nicholls made a good start Poole fans except the odd one or two are so pathetically blinkered it’s embarrassing Shovlar is a troll and like a child and nobody takes him seriously Then you get a few other morons trying to defend Foord lol Foreverblue I’m not including you -

Foord is a liability on a bike and dangerous Shame Oxford are the walking wounded but Poole can only beat what’s in front of them I await the Poole morons when they when insufferable bunch of weirdos -
I’m still bemused how people think that riders like King and Ellis … who both were signed as riders to get maybe 8-9 at home and 6-7 away …. were all of a sudden expected to be banging in double figures when Jason and Emil got injured

Idiots on here saying Doyle shouldn’t be in lol Won a round and cane second in another before injury Then I read some moron saying he isn’t likely to be world champion!!! As statements go that’s pretty hilarious as I would say the only only likely world champions this season would be the top 5 from this season Does that clown think Fricke Kurtz Thomsen Kubera have more chance then Doyle lol ….. I certainly don’t think Doyle will win it but with no Emil or Laguta is he in the top 15 in the world …. Yes quite easily -

Surely you know what Poole fans are like by now When they win a match it’s Shovlar saying it’s against the odds and that other fan going on about his stupid coffee… or people saying they know more than others Then when they lose tonight it all goes quiet and not a peep from them …. Worst losers always have been …. The comments on social media show you what their fanbase is like So we all now need to wait for the Shovlar to tell us how much it will be a shock if they overturn this deficit … it won’t be … but in his eyes it will be the biggest comeback since Lazurus Just the weirdest fanbase in the sport -

In fact the more I look at it the more one sided this will be Masters and Heeps may outscore Lawson and Hagon The Cook brothers at 3 and 4 should double what Boughen and Gilkes get at 3 and 4 Nicholls and Brennan similar Poole reserves are far stronger Poole should win both legs -
As in Ipswich fan I agree that Brady Kurtz was the rider of the season.

Can’t see Poole choking against a depleted Oxford Those are the breaks in speedway we had it at Ipswich this season Poole can only beat what’s in front of them -
You need to have 2 big hitters who will get you around 13 points each a meeting The best 3 teams in the league had Doyle and Emil… Kurtz and Bewley and Holder and Tai…. Those 6 riders aren’t going to get any better but they will get you what you need from them Kings Lynn pack their side with riders who aren’t number ones and aren’t going to get any better like Lawson NKI Basso …. Plenty of those riders about like Craig Cook and Danny King and even Chris Harris …. Theses guys will get you 6-7 a meeting but will occasionally get you 10 and sometimes 5…. You can’t rely on a 1-7 of riders at that level it won’t work as the team with the big hitters will pack the rest of the team with improvers who at times will beat the ‘Lawson’ type of rider….. nobody would be shocked if Rew, Pickering or Ben Cook beat Lawson or King would they Two big hitters a solid third heat leader and then second strings who can get you 6 a meeting is the way to go Kings Lynn have a 1-5 of riders who will get on average 7 a meeting… some will get 10 and some 5…… that’s only around 42 points a meeting it’s not enough At Ipswich you knew Doyle and Emil would get minimum 25 at home …. King and Ellis usually 14 between them …. Leaves 3 riders to get 6 and we had Dan and Rew doing that all season
-
Nope Belle Vue won the league not Sheffield … the matches are a qualifying system …. Like the gp’s where the top point scorer isn’t necessarily the winner You might not like system but their is only one league winner and that’s Belle Vue
-
As an Ipswich fan I’m not worried out of these two who wins just hope for a good meeting …. It’s as long as Sheffield and Poole done win anything then all is good lol

I see your point but with any sort of qualification system there will always be one or two who miss out just like the old world finals did , there will never be a system that guarantees all of the worlds best Id have Zmarzlik, Lambert, Lindgren, Vaculik, Bewley, Holder Michelsen Doyle Lebedevs Fricke Kubera, Dudek Then to me the next set of riders is open and Tai and Kvech would possibly be amongst those -

Poole speedway yet again -
Oh I agree if it came down to it I would probably prefer Ellis to King as a second string as he is likely to improve …. What I’m sick of is the constant King bashing he is at a certain level and as I said I did better than Ellis from a harder riding position which people seem to forget
-
Adam Ellis rode all season as second string Danny King rode 95% as a heat leader Danny King got a higher average than Ellis riding in a harder position Yet people want Ellis back but not King … as a second string Danny would be fine This is nothing against Ellis who is be happy to see stay but just to gain perspective
-
Danny King would be fine back at Ipswich in the right position He isn’t a heat leader and certainly not capable of carrying the team like some fans thought he could when we lost Jason and Emil If Danny King rode at 2 or 4 he would do his job The top 5 is simple Jason , Emil and Brennan as heat leaders And then 2 of Ellis Rew and King at 2 and 4….. personally yes I’d have Rew and Ellis but if one of them was to leave and we had Danny I’d be fine with that

Belle Vue -V- Leicester POF
Gavan replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not ever but you can’t compare Sheffield to Ipswich …. Ok let’s say Doyle and Tai are comparable … you lost Jack for 2 meetings middle of the season when secure in top 4…. We lost Emil for the business end We had Ellis King and Dan Thompson all out injured and all riding with their injuries We when lost Jenkins when he was in form and again at the business end when it’s important Even Rew had one nasty smash at end of the season So no Sheffield has nowhere near the same issues as Ipswich ….. most true fans know Ipswich were unlucky this year but that’s speedway and I’m sure with a full 1-7 we would have seen off Leicester and Sheffield although we would have struggled against Belle Vue as they always thrash us up there!! -
Exactly right Riding at number 2 you wouldn’t expect him to beat his partner in 3 of his races and he is up against opposition heat leaders in those so maybe 3 points is the norm in those though he might beat the opposition heat leader and he might get beat by the number 6 …. So some weeks 4 points some weeks 7 … a solid number two rider Blodorn Riss Thompson Lampart Basso Lawson Howarth …. Are the riders who have been riding at two mainly and he is on a par with most of those …. Don’t forget the Sheffield team is top heavy with 4 heat leaders pretty much so the 5th rider will be weaker then say Leicester who have built strength in depth …. People too quick to judge Howarth …… I see the same at my club with fans thinking Danny King should be getting 10 points a meeting …. Our third heat leader will be weaker with Jason and Emil using a lot of points up …. King will get 7-8 most meetings and that’s his job but since we lost the top two some fans think he should have stepped up…. He’s 38 not going to get better but didn’t deserve the stick he got …… that said Brennan for King is a no brainer next season

Poole fans are a different breed -
Eurosport, terrible professionalism.

No reason to pick on Abi She has an earpiece with her producer telling her what to do so she has to comply When the Sheffield boys were upset she initially said she was leaving them alone and then was obviously told to try and talk to them I think Abi is fine I think some people just look for an issue doesn’t matter who is presenting the would find flaw Scott and Chris are fine but kelvin does get flustered easily …. With 2 heats to go he said Sheffield need to get two 5-1’s …. Then within a minute said a 4-2 may well do … it’s basic maths to be 8 down with 2 to go to know what’s required -
Seems some Sheffield fans are as fickle as some of my fellow Ipswich fans Kyle Howarth is not a 7 point rider so if he gets 5 or 6 a meeting he will have done his job …. Similar Danny King is in Ipswich’s side to get 6 or 7 These 2 riders are not getting any younger and of course aren’t going to improve but their job is to maintain an average not necessarily to improve …. You will never build a team of 7 improvers …… Chris Harris similarly will not regularly bang in double figure scores anymore because he isn’t that level And what’s wrong with the rising stars beaten a second string? Surely that’s the type of rider who could be beat by a rising star?
-
No I think you lost it last night because the Holder brothers didn’t want to know and even more so after Cook crashed Jack Holder is world number 4 and currently 7th… for him to not win a race and simply follow his partner in all 4 races isn’t good enough… Chris also looked subdued And if there is no issue with the track why didn’t either brother try the dirt line it was like they were too scared to… watch Chris v Vuolas he never wanted to try the outside They scored 11 between them … Thry should possibly be getting that each … you can excuse a poor performance away but not at home And Sheffield fans who were quick to moan about Howarth and Harris have said nothing about the Holder brothers - bit of double standards
