Good to hear radio Kent doing a bit more? I noticed last couple of matches they've had someone there posting updates and the odd pic on Twitter? Good to see! Wonder if they wud consider doing some live commentary in the future? Like BBC west midlands do brilliantly? They use their website to broadcast so non speedway fans can still have their normal programmme on? BBC Kent do it with the football? I agree that we need to "up the game" when it comes to presentation on the night? Announcer is good and has a bit of a rapore with fans but think we cud do with a roving reporter as such who can b in the pits grabbing interviews with riders and managers and out on centre green and just generally making the evening a bit more of a show? Lakeside used to do it brilliantly? And think Jon cook does the roving bit now? Just adds to the evening and brings the fans more into it all?

Well just got back and wow!!! All I can say! That was one Hell of a meeting! Massive well done to all riders for putting on without doubt the best meeting at central park! Great racing, some good overtaking, especially from Marc Owen, and never 2pts between the teams all meeting! Great advert for the sport and in particular the national league! The draw was the fair result I think with all the effort put in, tho have to say from where I was sitting I think we can feel a little bit hard done by with THAT decision in heat 15? Lol! But happy enough with the draw in the end. David Mason put in another great captains performance and must of felt hard done by in last heat? Was very impressed with Aaron Baseby too! And was good to see Luke pull of the heat win in ht14 over Marc Owen. Pleased to see Jason Garrad get his first win too? Struggled a bit after that but looked good at times so promise there that's for sure! And well done Ben on winning the bronze helmet! So then! Who makes way for Benji??? Have to say my money wud b on Luke as can't see any other way of fitting him in? But can see it being a very unpopular decision? If it is him then it's going to give us a very strong top 5 and can see no reason why we won't make the play offs? But time will tell I suppose and will b interesting Wat happens in next couple of days?

On way back from Heathrow and planning on dropping into meeting! But have gone thru some seriously heavy showers both ways! How's it looking in sittingbourne? I'm just leaving clacket lane services now?

On a brighter note it's just been announced on lakesides Twitter that Ben has been voted rider of the month by the fans! A massive well done to Ben!!! Fully deserved imo

Hi all! Just posted on Mildenhall v kings thread but may b better posting here? I saw there was a coach run to the match on Sunday? Cud someone in the know possibly pm me with details of anymore coaches being run this season? As a kid i spent many a time traveling to away Canterbury matches on the coach with my grandparents and wud love to take my lad on some kings away matches if poss?

Can someone pm me details about the coach that kings r running? Cud b interested for sure! Good news if Baseby has signed! Will be a really good addition going by his performance on Monday! As AJ said tho will be interesting when Benji is fit? Cant leave him out so for me I think it could well be Harris and Ayres making way for him and Brandon? But will the averages work? Watever happens think we have defo strengthed with the signing of Aaron and my god after Tuesdays match it can only help

My views entirely too! A huge well done to all concerned for getting this meeting thru all 15 heats and big respect to all riders too! Had a very enjoyable afternoon at central park 2day! A really good competitive match with all riders trying their hardest. What a pleasure it was to see the Boxmeister ripping it up around central park again! Pure class and so so happy he's turning it on in the PL! He's looking the mutts nuts too I must add? Matching bike and kevlars!!! Very impressive! lol! Have to say it was the 1st time ive seen Danny Ayres ride? Have only gone by whats been said about him on here? But my god! Sign that boy up now cos if we let him slip thru we will regret it big time!!! So so impressed with him! How old is he? He gave 100% today and will easily make the top 5 in my view if given the chance! Have to say the 5-1 him and mason did was brilliant! Class from mason protecting him all the way round and that's what Mason brings to the table that's for sure! May not go out there winning races but does the total "team man" job out there! Thought Luke Chessell looked good today too? Defo starting to show the form the management have said he's capable of! Hopefully if he starts getting more points he'll be able to afford covers for his bike too? lol! But joking aside he looks to be improving well. Ben looked class again today I thought! Made it 11 out of 11 until the "incident" in his 4th ride? Sure it was just a racing incident but the lad didn't look too happy about it? But he's looking so good and benefitting big time with the fast track system which is benefitting us in return. Gotta make the most of him this season I fear as sure he will be too good come end of season to stay in the NL? But will fully deserve it! Moving onto Aaron Baseby! As previous poster said how the hell has he not got a team place!!! He looked so good out there and its just a talent going to waste imo? Be lovely if we could squeeze him in somehow come the new averages, but if not then surely someone has to snap him up?

Well have to say that was a really enjoyable meeting! And so nice to see live apeedway again after another long winter!!! was really impressed with the kings. Look a much more solid and stronger team than last year and can see no reason why we shudnt b challenging for a play off spot! The two that most impressed me were Ben Morley and young Luke Harris. Ben has taken it up another level with the fast track system and it definitely showed 2day! Can see him becoming our number 1 this year without a doubt! Also hugely impressed with like Harris! Id say call off the search for the team spot and get him in there! On the pace most of the day and a really nice smooth style i thought! The mason/compton partnership looks like it cud b a good one and freemantle looks like he cud live up to the promise hes been labeled with! Thought chessell looked ok and worth more than the 2 he scored tho he threw a win away so shud of had 5pts really? Lambert looks good too tho never gunna replace Stevie b! All in all very happy with the team and looking forward to a good season!

At last!!!!!!!! The day is finally here! hopefully the start of a very good 2nd season for the kings! Got a run up to Heathrow at 11 this morning and then FORCING myself to drop onto the stadium on the way back . Been a long winter as usual but weather looking good and here's hoping for a good and safe meeting!

Have to agree with you there waco! I think we have put a really good solid team together? A big scoring number 1 again plus the back up of ben, david, and benji, plus if brandon can perform like everyone is predicting he could then yeah can see no reason why we cant be challenging this season! Roll on the start of the season now!

Must say that as someone who put a shout out for Adam Kirby in bit disappointed the management went for an unknown, untested rider to replace Adam but that's how it is so time to get behind everyone now! looking at the team i think we've defo strengthened on paper. Was always gunna b a tough job to replace Stevie boxall but think lambert will do a good job and give us another out and out number 1! The 3 returnees we all know will do a job and personally i think this cud b a big year for ben Morley as feel him riding EL will massively improve him which cam only benefit us? A lot is gunna depend on how Brandon Freemantle does? Got big hopes for him and if he can produce wat people r saying he is capable of then i feel we can definitely be challenging this year! Luke chessell is also one that if he will have a say in how we do? All in all fairly happy with the team that's been put 2gether and cant wait for the tapes to go up in April!

wud it be so bad as to give adam kirby another go? or has he moved on? only suggesting him cos hes had a seasons experience with us already and yeah even tho he had an up and down sort of season i think we saw enough in him to make me think at least thats he's got potential so long as he can become a bit more consistant? May get shot down for suggesting him but hey wat the heck lol!

Ive just been chatting to jack Kingston on twitter and he is honestly gutted he cant come back next season? Says there's just no way he can fit it in with his work commitments? Have passed onto him that general opinion on here is hes gunna b missed and a big loss and hes grateful and just gutted. Such a shame as a really nice lad who seems genuinely upset about missing out with us next year

More than happy with that top 5!!! Think lambert will b an excellent replacement for Steve and glad ben, benji, and dave are staying! Hoping now we get 2 reserves who can improve throughout the season! Cant see us propping up the table this year that's for sure! Hi all! Not been on here for ages due to work etc but been looking thru the posts? got everything crossed that things work out for the kings with promotion etc? Havent got a clue with the team suggestions apart from keeping Ben Morley is a must as is Jack Kingston? Also feel we need a strong number 1 again as has been mentioned I dont think Ben is an out and out number 1? but maybe will be proved wrong as I think his time at Lakeside next season will do him wonders and help him to grow into an even better rider? As has been mentioned I personally dont see age being a problem? Just ask Mr Hancock or Gollob??? Both in their 40's and can still show the youngsters how its done!!! Think you need an older rider to help the youngsters along so would like to see a mix in the Kings team next season? Anyway looking forward to another successful season at Central Park and hoping that everyone pulls together and stops moaning and winging about promotion, riders etc and just gets behind the whole thing!

Hi. Havent posted on here for a bit due to work etc but thought id put a point/suggestion across? Yes the sound quality of the PA isnt top notch but seems that the management are aware of this and are making efforts to rectify it so let's all give them the time? As one poster said Rome wasnt built in a day, but personally i think for a 1st season in the sport at a new venue the progress has been brilliant and the little problems are surely just teething problems? Im sure it will all be sorted out in time? Secondly have the management considered having an announcing duo during the meeting? The usual announcer in the refs box plus a "roving" reporter out and about in the pits and centre green grabbing interviews with riders, management etc? This will im sure add to the enjoyment of the evening for everyone as it worked well at Lakeside when they had the chap going around, and now Jon Cook is out there doing the job? It just adds a bit to the whole experience being able to hear 1st hand from riders straight after a race or incident and also from managers etc? Its only a suggestion as just thinking of ways to improve things? Also, I havent been along for few weeks, again due to work but ive also noticed there's no music played inbetween heats? Just wondering if this is due to the sound restrictions placed in the planning permission or if it's just a case of not getting round to doing it yet?

Just echoing everyone else's posts? Massive congrats to the Kings and to all the team behind the scenes for that all illusive 1st win! Gutted aswell to miss a little piece of history but hopefully now there will be many more to come?

Well with fans like JTW u sure don't need enemies eh? Getting sooooo boring now tho! Hope Adam doesn't come on here and read that cos sure wont help the poor lads confidence! But if he does in sure he just ignores it cos prob realises everyone else is behind him and its just the one sad act who seems determined to knock every rider when possible! Anyway, didn't make it last nite but sounds like a battling display again with our usual run of bad luck and little errors? Really pleased for Adam cos his confidence looked low last week and was bit worrying but seems to of bounced back now? Anyway looking forward to any team changes this week if rumours r true? Cud b interesting especially if David mason took a spin last nite? Means one thing surely? IF it does happen then wud make a much better team IMO? 4 riders capable of scoring good points each week with back up from an improving Adam and jack? I do sense the end again for Sam tho?
