  1. Like they do in every other sport
  2. Maybe there have the opening meeting at the start of 2017 ? weather permitting of course
  3. Good point ..every year I wonder who will do better out of New England and Jacksonville .
  4. Word on the street that there could be some news tomorrow that might Russell up a bit of interest
  5. Not sure he's ready for the top five yet ..think he should stay in the draft system for another couple of years
  6. Not saying he was right but that is my thinking on how the ref saw it .
  7. Chris4gillian and you are so alike it's amazing in fact almost like the same poster .
  8. Swindon only got into problems the moment leigh adams left .the moment he left so did a lot of the crowd .another example of crowds wanting to see a top rider and how they paid for themselfs
  9. Pl football is 60 plus food and drink but its pack every week . If the product is right people will pay .
  10. Yet again as have been explained teams like Plymouth etc have no top riders but find themselves in trouble while teams like poole have and pay top money and make a profit .....it's lazy thinking just to say we can't afford top riders ....the bottom line and the only hope is that we get more fans in and just like anything the only way is to make the standard better .
  11. What would be the point of advertising if the product you were advertising was no good ? just imagine if done that with a poor restaurant ...ok people might go there once but would never go again plus they tell others that it was poor ....the same would apply to speedway at the moment .
  12. We could give you a millions of examples that work the other way ....Darcy ward for example put 200 -300 on the crowds at home when he joined Swindon last year as well as the crowds he brought in when Swindon rode away as rosco said he more than paid for himself ...anyone who thinks that people don't care who rides and it does not effect the crowds need there heads tested Sadly there a witch hunt going on about the El and high earners being the problem and fans wanted for some reason to be like the pl when it has all these things your talk about but has crowds that can't even pay the riders who are on low wages as we found out with Plymouth last week as well as Berwick ,Workington ,Scunny etc being on the being on the brink as well ....for years and years we have cut the cloth and the results been there for all to see people walking away as speedway dies a slow death ...
  13. Don't get me wrong I tend to agree with you about Dudek's being excluded ...all I was doing was playing devil's advocate and how and why the ref made his choice .
  14. Yet again it depends if you think Killer should have hit him .....as others have said if had missed him the race would have carried on ....the ref in this case righty or wrongly thought by killer hitting him that he was the cause of the stoppage not Dudek . as I said it's all about opinions
  15. or that Killer failed to avoid him ...a view that the ref took
  16. Spot on ..one of those where a ref has to exclude someone due to the rules but would rather not have to do so ,as no one is at fault .
  17. A tricky one and one where there is no right or wrong ...you can see it from both sides ,..Dudek does nothing wrong but by the same token Killer quite clearly does not see him slowing down ....
  18. Not at all as I said before other sporting events like pl football pack the grounds out even at £40 -60 a ticket ...so it's not a question of cost it's a question of value for money or people willing to paid more to watch the best . Swindon ran nl at a tenner and hardly anyone went so they had to pack it in ...if your logic was correct and it's only cost that stops people going they should be getting the same crowds as Swindon were in the el at the time that cost a £5 extra Do you think the Gp at Cardiff would sell more tickets like it is at the moment or if it was £10 for with 16 nl standard riders ?
  19. Yea again another clueless post ...pl is not doing well and it's not a sane and safe play ...bar in your mad world ...have a read about Plymouth ...have a look at Berwick and Scunny who are always on the brink of going bust ..wake up are understand that speedway is in trouble full stop . The odd thing about speedway is that the only superior fans tend to be pl fans like yourself who for whatever reason just spend there time saying how great the pl is and wanting the el to fail ..your post sums up that in a nutshell. As for finance what would make you such an expert say to me ? reading what you put the pl being a sane place i would not let you near a monopoly board as your unlikely to pass go The reality is as the standard of riders has dropped so have the crowds ...it's not been a question of the crowds going down it's been question of not being able to keep the fans that we had ...it's bit like when White Knight said that crowds have gone down since the play offs and sky ,thou that is true i expect the crowds on a whole would have been even lower ..if the only plan is make the standard even lower (the same plan for the last 20 years ) then speedway and will die a slow death .
  20. No one is more clueless than you .
  21. its been cutting it's cloth for years and getting rid of these demanding riders ....it's not worked ...the only hope it to get more fans the sport wont exist in ten years time by just sticking to the same plan year after year .
  22. Yea like it was such a fantastic product the last time they done it ..quite righty in sport the top leagues etc get the money as the viewers want to see them ..I doubt if teams like Southampton a etc could run to the level in premier league football without the tv money . The pl the last time you were in it might have been great for you as you crushed everyone most the time as you had the most money but I doubt it was much fun for the rest of them .
  23. They might moan but they still go ..no one asking for all the top boys to come back but unless the crowds come back speedway dies a slow death ....the standard dropping has got hand in hand with the crowds dropping .
