  1. People never had a issue then because the rest of the product was good and we had forums like this and the internet in general ..ive been to speedway for many a year I not heard person moan about the old rule or the new rule while at a match The point being made is the rule being a joke and it bringing us more false results ,not if it's more entertaining. And as I have pointed out the old rule gave us many more false results . The bottom line if the many more important problems were sorted out then on one would really care .
  2. Why do you think the old tac sub rule was used ? the stats show you that the old rule created more false results than the new one but at the time in had no effect on crowd sizes .. Thou I don't any tac rule of any sort people are deluded if they think that crowds are some how going to go up if they take it away . in a sport that has massive problems it's way down the list and if the teams were of good strength and track decent etc etc no one would care a rats arse about it like they never in the days of the old tac sub .
  3. Just being reading the life story of Harry Findlay the life time gambler who also ran the dogs at Brandon ...in the books he tells how he was told not to trust Sandhu Who in the end screw him over .
  4. He's does not condone people who say they are going round peoples houses to smash there faces in ..as long as they want to leave the Eu of course
  5. Spot on ..the bspa do a bad job but some of fans just don't even think .
  6. Yea it's a numbers game ..not to keen on Ellis as well .quite keen on keeping any of the other five .
  7. Don't forget Rye House etc have there crowds stay the same ?
  8. Have a feeling we will be waiting a long time ..as normal a bit of hopeful news to stop everyone moaning ..bang on time
  9. Even by the mad house that is uk speedway this takes some beating ...an ever bigger joke is that it's on tv
  10. Well done Swindon ..must admit I had given up hope after the first leg but rosco kept his cool and we staged a fightback ..Have to feel sorry for Wolves who doubt would won but for the top two missing and that was the telling factor in the end . Have to give a lot respect to both set of fans at the track and on this forum ...nothing but respect to each other in victory and defeat makes a welcome change .
  11. As I said no one is getting taking them to task about this ...The Swindon media have let them get away with it .
  12. To make more money is the logic ...in all over sports finals cost more to get in why not speedway ..After all clubs are losing money so why should they not make some to help them out . As for a rip off ..there is no con ..the price is £ 20 to watch the final. You then have the choice to pay that or not ,there is no law forcing you to go .
  13. It's not what said or asked in your first post ..your question was why the track was like it was and then saying the blame was on Rosco for having it like that . As I explained and it was confirmed by Tatum after speaking to Ronnie Russell that it had to be like that due to the heavy rain over the weekend and the poor forcast for the afternoon of the meeting ...not an excuse as the track was the same for both sides just the facts ..no doubt a great trackman like yourself would have covered the track in heavy dirt so if it did rain the match would have had no chance of taking place and Swindon speedway would have lost there biggest crowd and income of the season . Your Point about Rosco looking at the track and then getting his riders to adap to it if a another and maybe a valid point but not the question you asked in your first post .
  14. Nothing to do with Rosco the forecast at the start of the day was for rain between 4 and 7 o'clock hence the track prep .Of course the rain never came and we ended up with a dry and slick track .
  15. First of all well done wolves a well deserved win ...a number factors did not help Swindon ,the slick track no doubt fearing the rain Ellis and Dwd not being 100 % fit and a poor start to the meeting for Morris ..I thought Howarth and Masters were outstanding for Wolves with the rest giving good support . Lucky Wolves never had there full side out on another note I thought ref was shocking ..letting riders on both sides get away with rollers and there is no way Morris made the 2 mins in heat 13 ..the clock had ran out when he was nowhere near the start .
  16. ? In 8 out of 10 seasons the title race would be over by June..so incorrect .all you do live in the past .
  17. You did indeed . there ready to taken down to Swindon in a moments notice by all accounts
  18. Your joking surely ..I grant you he's not very good at it but he's does it all the time
  19. Yea it is ..what has happened is that every now then a press release comes out giving the fans hope that the stadium is not far from happening . it's quite clever and keeps the great unwashed in check It's high time for someone important to say this is a load of bull and take Clarke and Co to task . The fans deserve some answers and truth .
  20. What would be the difference between two teams that had already been assured of qualification and two teams who at the bottom of the league ? both matches would mean nothing . And who do think would get the better crowd ?
  21. Swindon are no doubt massive favs to win now and will looking to rack up a win of between 16 and 20 points to take to Wolves . What they must do is get the mind set right and not think it's easy and slip up . The luck has fallen for Swindon and they really have to make the most of it with a title on the line ..
