Lol ..no speedway needs to stay the same..we don't need any of the fans that 20 _20 get packing the staduim out .got to keep these sort of people out . -

Why is cricket a snore fest .because you think so ? 20 -20 is one of the most exciting sports there is and as well as people enjoying a drink there are hugh a.amount fans who are families having a day or night out .one of the worst thing about this topics is clueless idiots trying to make other excuses why other sports are doing well just because they dont like or dont understand them .if you asked any sports fan worth there salt if 20 -20 was a snooze fest they would laugh you out of town . -

One of the better to happen to speedway then ..nothing worse for the sport than some saps doing a war cry -

Not really. A team that has say a Doyle or a Lambert and you then replaced them with a junior the crowd is going to go down by 150 to 300 and that will cripple clubs .it's same the old story people putting up ideas but with no thinking about the money side .it's the same with take away the play offs and why don't we a play off cup !. Yet again your plan is thinking that the fans don't care who they watch .people have left because the standard of rider has dropped -

Yet again we had years of people saying this but not one person has come up with a better or workable idea ..look at you replace no1 's with juniors etc .. -

As I said we had guests years ago when speedway was packed ..no one cared ....nothing ridiculous about comparing a sport that has stupid rules but still has billions of fans and is packed with money ..you never know one day football might host a world cup where is to hot to stage it in the middle of the normal football season ..oh hang on -

A lot Football players teams are full of Loans players no one has a problem with that ..Football has a cup called the champions league that has teams without champions in it but is one most watched comp in the world ...anyone can pulled apart a sport with stupid rules they all have them -

Credibility is over egged in speedway .in the old days will still had guests and rr and we had a world speedway final that make sure that it never top 16 in the world in it but still 70 k of fans came and watched . -

Fans said they wanted less guests etc so chapman brought in fixed race nights to help ...the result was fans moaning about the race night . ...You can't replace main riders with juniors as it effects the crowd levels . I hate to say it but there are no easy answers ..even when you give the fans what they want they still moan -

No one said it would be the saviour of the sport ...the decline has nothing to with having play offs ,trying to connect the two with no evindence and them working in every other sport shows how wrong that is . As I said the decline is really easy to work out it's because Poland and Sweden become bigger than the uk and we were no could longer dictate to riders and have every race night etc etc it's been downhill ever since ...the last bit about speedway beyond rescue is 100 % correct I don't think anything can save it now . -

What you don't understand is that the pl has champions league spots and teams can go down as well as Europa league spots and massive prize money for each place .so plenty for teams to play for and fans to watch .so no need for play offs as every game has something riding on it plus the crowds are massive as they have sold so many seasons tickets before the start of the season ..now you tell me what speedway got to race for with no play offs ? Nothing bar the league title that could be over before you know it. -

It had to change as the uk was not the number one in speedway anymore .They could just have 7 race days all the riders etc etc anymore .Yet again speedway does not have his own agenda when it comes to play offs .plenty have the same rules and the champions are chosen by this method and are packed with fans. how come rugby fans don't pick and choose the matches at the start of the season?.No doubt another only in speedway fan rule . -

Yet again the modern fan would not care if his team came 3rd if There were no play offs .time has moved on .as I said before play offs give most teams something race for all season .if Poole say say have much bette team r than anyone else at go clear by June it would mean no else would have anything to race for and the season would be over and the modern fan would not turn up .The bottom line is play offs are a massive success in all sports ,so for oaps mainly to say they are a big reason why fans don't come to UK speedway anymore is insane . -

The only person who keeps saying about football is you Ive not said about football once .I said every other sport that has play offs ..maybe the nasty media have brain washed them about all these other sports that have play offs that fans love as well. It's pretty clear that once the UK was not the be all and end all of world speedway things were never goingvto be the same hence why things that worked in the golden era are not going to work now . -

I compared speedway to every other sport that has play offs and all of them are a massive success but somehow if we don't have them in speedway all the crowds will come back and like the numbers that has flocked back now that we don't have double points ...as i said these topics are always clog up with oap' s who go back to the past with rules and things that won't work in the modern age .Times have changed sadly speedway and its fans have not . -

Why would they be more meaningful ? it's stands to reason with out play offs there would be a lot less ..if team went clear after 6 weeks there would nothing more to race for and crowds would be even lower -

They all know rules in the first so it's not ...no one is upset or feels it's a travesty anymore ….As for a place off cup it's been said a million times that no fans turn for them and clubs lose money ..we have had the craven shield and the jack young cup at pl level and both were a financial disaster . The trouble with these subjects is that the normal suspects turn up ..people who have not gone for 15 years who are between 60 -70 years old .they try to make out they want the best for speedway but really want the rules and things back when they went like no plays off and one off world finals etc etc -

Plays offs in other sports work great and have brought more fans into the sport but somehow in speedway people left because of them ..another only in speedway thing . I am amazed that this we not had record crowds this year after all we were told that thousands of fans left because of the double point rule ..surely they must have all come back now . As for people not liking gimmicks 20 -20 cricket is full of them like free hits power plays etc etc ..and is packing in the crowds with players earning massive money . -
I Don't know for sure myself but people on facebook groups etc tend to think it's well over 250 thus far ..I have friend in the council who thinks that is about right as well .let's be honest it's hardly a shock if thou's figures are correct . What Swindon fans should have done for a laugh is asked to see the already built stadium when Gi said it was built in Port Talbot ..I wonder what they done with that now
