British Speedway to be reborn??
orion replied to MatthewAiden's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
No they don't . one the biggest speedway myth of all time. -
How many times are you going to repeat the same thing ?
-
Osbourne Clark is involved .
-
Another classic from the master of betting
-
Sorry Avtar .. i wont do it again
-
24 likes and laughs .. made me crack up . got to be the post of the year .
-
When you take on Clarke Osbourne it tends to end up one way .. cant be long before you hear talk of another staduim as they build houses on this one
-
My interpretation was spot on . What are these questions on this subject for example i have not answered by the way ? looking forward hearing them but i expect we might have one these distraction posts you are so fond of . Never known someone get so upset and narky as you do ,, take your own advice its a only speedway forum not life and death
-
You made out in your own words that Ford was making rules that for the future of the sport rather than for his own club .. so yes the big picture
-
If you can keep winning with or without Pawlicki and make the play offs with him at reserve then its a perfect storm . little point in making plays off if you cant win them . Did Cov break any rules ? no
-
How could they make sure of making the play offs ? they only just got into them from being bottom of the league . it made plenty of sense for Pawlicki to be at reserve rather than . Sweetman . as has been said no unban myths or conspiracy stories at. all the rules brought it was just anti cov and everyone could see that and the text messages that were sent just confirmed to me what was crystal clear .
-
You said that Ford knew that putting the points limit up would mean clubs going under and only meaning 3 clubs could battle for the title and no one wants that and he could see the bigger picture .. so not not my words at all,
-
The point being made its that El Addio said that the rules he made were for the good of the sport .. what others are pointing out it that he only care about himself and his club
-
Correct .. for some El Addio etc keep going on about and the points limit .. the rule change about Pawlicki was the main problem Not sure why keep going on about the points limit etc .. that was hardly the main problem .. The rule about Pawlicki was quite clearly the main problem and clearly spoken and made up after the final had finished . Not sure you really understand how bitter he was about that defeat . As I said the points limit was not really the main problem
-
Making Cov weaker quite suited Ford and of course that was the main point . Ward being under 8 was also perfect once the one rider over 8 was brought in, a point made by many at the time . We all know that rule would never seen the light of day if Ward and Holder were both over 8 . it also allowed bjane to go to Eastbourne if i remember what of course is very handy when you want another club to vote for the same rules as you .
-
Of course the rules are new every year but that has zero to do with what when on .. Making rules up that fav you in any sport does not give others the same ability to build a team a within those rules ...thats just common sense
-
i would hardly say driving most of your crowd away and having to end up in Div 2 takes much drive and brains ..He started off ok but then started to cheat before running it into the ground the last few years .
-
Correct they are . sadly the rules were spoken about and sorted some time before by the little gang that was the whole point . not for the good of the sport but for Ford to make sure that had the max effect on cov likely 1 to 7 .. as i asked you before are you trying to tell us the rules changes were just a massive concidence ? I would hardly say setting your own rules up by doing favs for each other is a level playing field or plotting with others while leaving other clubs out in the dark .
-
All the rule changes quite clearly had a direct effect on cov ...the rule changes had little do with saving money (as Ford care about that at the time ) he was bitter and got a little gang together to teach Cov a lesson .a million ways someone like Ford could get Eastie on board You got to be really naive to think that those rules that destroyed the 1 to 7 that cov could have tracked were just a concidence and had to do with the final defeat , What is even more amazing even after the stunts and cheating he did somehow he would never been involved in any of the above and was working for the good of the sport .. .
-
Plenty of validity .. i was showed the text messages being sent at the time .. The dispute was about Ford being bitter after losing the final and then going out of his way to make sure Cov never could track the side they wanted . Pure bitterness and revenge at the expense of sport . .Boro sadly just got caught in the crossfire . That winter cause untold damage to the sport

Its called being realistic ...nothing shameful about that at all
