Nothing to do with a promoter and a tm ...Lyon has set his stall out to say that Gb must bring on the youth etc and how we must change the way speedway is run in he uk etc etc and has pick his side based on that . If he's going to say that and be in charge of Team Gb then he must stick to it ...but he willing to go along with a club that breeds import after import the things you said you hated ..Middlo always pick the best side he could for team gb as Poole speedway always try to do at club level no double stadards there .

As i said i think your on the wrong topic ....i still trying to understand what picking no hopers in a world cup team has got anythink to with any of your above points . Rob Lyon you say cares about the state of uk speedway and thinks we should go with young riders ? from what ive seen he's at a club that never pushes hardly any british young riders and would rather go with the aussie gold rush as you put it ....if Lyon got any morals surely he would leave the club if he thinks thats what wrong with speedway in the uk . A classic case of double standards .

Talk about going off the subject maybe there is a problem with British speedway but thats not going to change by picking riders who are not good enough for the team . These riders have plenty of chances to show they are good enough in the league etc and if they are give them a chance on merit rather than handing it on a plate when they have not earned the right . Never seen such a negtive attitude from a sporting team 'we are going to win so lets not pick are strongest side' Picking King in front of Rico or Scot for that matter serves no purpose at all as he is not as good as them now and won't be as good as them ever . If Mr Lyon cares so much about the uk youngsters why don't he tell the Chapmans to start picking some at Kings Lynn now instead instead of Ward ,Smith ect So Much for his princibles . The only reason i can see why he is putting this side out ifs to cover his back so if they get crushed he can say in ten years times we will benafit from this .

Swindon not been utlra slick at all and last night there was plenty of dirt on it ...of course you were there last night and go to every home meeting ? King was hopeless last night and has been for the last couple of weeks and even his swedish have got rid of him ...Can't gate is clueless and slow from behind and can just beat premier league reserves ..bar that he's in great form

Would have to be Wembley for me ...the trainers would be better and the higher cost would get rid of some of guffs that go to Cardiff ..

Is king better than richardson ? the answer is no ..so he's done nothing to justified his place not hard to follow is it ?

At the highest level it is ..just like any walk of life you have to have had walked the walk .. Do you really see Lyon telling what lines on the racetrack Rico should ride ? or what set up he should used in poland ?

Sorry can't find anythink on Lyon record ....if you could put it up what he has done outside of the pl as as a rider and as a team manager it would be most helpful .

I given plenty of reasons about Danny king you just choose not ignore them ....to sum it up the guy has not the skill or the gating to take him to the next level this is as far as he gets ( waits for you to say you still have not given any reasons ) Craig boyce came third in a world championship and was captain of many top levels teams .......where did Rob Lyon come ? how many top levels teams did he captain ? Boyce gets respect from others riders Lyon done nothing to get anyones respect . Ps when did i ever say that Craig Boyce should have been or was a good world cup manager ?

i thought pratt and nicholls were together the other year they won the league twice and also a treble or was that some people with the same name ? As you say pratt done everythink in the sport so gets respect lyon does nothing so the top riders are unlikely to give him any .

Quite easy when you have done nothing in the sport as a rider or as a Team manager like Rob lyon your not going to get the respect of riders who have been at the top level of the sport like Nicholls and Rico etc and that is one of the main reasons they are not in the side .

Just because they did have a sponsor does not mean they don't have a big budget andersons bucthers etc have sponsor pl teams before hardly going to be a mavsive amount of money .

1 .Unlike you i would try and win our home leg (we have won them before ) i would have put the best team in ...if we had pull off a shock and won it would be classed as a good world cup . 2. What i am saying is that the team we have picked has no hope our strongest team would have had a slight hope. 3. Danny king shows no reason why he would get better the only things he does it that he looks quite quick when out front what is not very offen ...he still getting beat by the likes of stuart robson week in week out and even his swedish team have dropped him ..i got nothing axe to grind with the lad because he gets my respect by going into the el but he never going to more than a 6/6.50 in the el 4 The pl is a well ran league full of small teams on low budgets kings lynn are one of the biggest teams in the uk with a massive budget hence they can win the league by signing Darcy Ward ...it's like man ute playing in the non league ...i give lyon no credit what so ever for beating teams 60-30 each week and not having the balls to test himself at the highest level in the el hence why he should never have got the job in the first place

Poles overflowing with talent ? why did they have to used a 33 year old bloke from norway ... they put out there best side they can weather they are 17 or 50 . Thats why they win worlds cups rather than give up and quit like we are doing . As for king i must have seen him ride 10-12 times plus countless times on tv and still is getting beat the likes by stuart robson on his own track week in week out he reach his level and like howe with be back in the pl in the next 2 years or so .

When was the last times poles put any young riders in ? one of the only reason they have won the world cup is because they got rune holta to ride for them on a polish passport.. when was the last time poland had a world champion ? do you think they would not have gollob in there world cup squad ? Danes Put young riders in who were good and maybe could help them win the world cups in later years like us now with Lewis and woffy ...as i said i don't mind that what i do mind is leaving out our best rider for a rider who not good enough now and won't be good enough ever to ride at this level .

We got to the final that year let us see if team of young superstars can do the same this year i some what doubt it .

As has been said before thatis untrue rico record in world speedway is an outstanding one the facts show you that ....putting riders who are no good now and won't be no good in a couple of years is not looking to the future it's just plain stupid .

It's called pride ...getting stuffed at home won't do any good for anyone . You should put your best team out at all times... what a negative attitude from team gb to go an say we are going to get beat so we wil put out a crap side We should go to boro with our best side thinking we can win .

The danes are gating tarts that what wins you world cups not being half a lap behind trying hard . King can't even beat Stuart Robson on his own track but now we put him v Gollob and Co but hey it better to try hard and score 0 rather then score 10 or 12 points by making good starts .

Why ? King is never going to cut it on a world stage and so picking him is waste of time on both fronts . Nearly all of us are saying the team is not being pick on merit or trying to win so we might as wel go the whole hog .

Picking youngsters who will do better later on like woffiden And Bridger makes sense even if they were not in the top 5 at the moment but ,King is not good enough and he won't be good enough Today or Tommorow . If we going to make no effort to win and blood youngsters lets go the whole hog and put people like Lawsonin etc in at least they may become a world class rider at one stage something king has no chance of ever doing .
